I’ve had an incredible experience working at Principle Health Systems and couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunity.

A typical day at work is fast-paced and dynamic, which keeps things interesting and engaging. I love that every day brings new challenges and opportunities to grow, and I’m always learning something new. Whether it's collaborating with my amazing team, tackling new projects, or problem-solving on the fly, there's never a dull moment.

What I’ve learned here is invaluable. Not only have I gained technical skills that will serve me for years to come, but I’ve also developed my communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities. The company truly invests in its employees and offers continuous learning and growth opportunities, which is something I deeply appreciate.

Management here is supportive and approachable. They listen to feedback, are always open to suggestions, and encourage a collaborative, inclusive environment. It’s clear that leadership values each employee’s contribution and is committed to our success.

The workplace culture at PHS is one of the best aspects of working here. It’s a perfect balance of professionalism and fun. The team is friendly, and there’s a strong sense of camaraderie. Everyone is always willing to lend a hand and share their knowledge, which creates a positive and encouraging atmosphere.

The hardest part of the job can be managing tight deadlines and high expectations, but it’s always rewarding to rise to the challenge. The fast pace can be tough at times, but it pushes me to stay sharp and organized, which I think is key to professional growth.

The most enjoyable part of the job is the people. Working with such a talented and driven group makes every challenge feel more like a shared adventure. The sense of accomplishment we feel after successfully completing a project together is unmatched. Plus, the company’s emphasis on work-life balance makes it easy to maintain a healthy and fulfilling lifestyle outside of work.

Overall, working at PHS has been a truly rewarding experience, and I’m excited for what’s ahead. I’m thankful for the opportunity to grow, contribute, and be part of such a fantastic team!

What is the best part of working at the company?
The company is very fast paced.  I enjoy the caliber of people I work with that all are focused on quality of care.  No company is ever perfect, but the selling point for me was the amount of time and effort that is spent focused on internal components such as employee retention, always looking for ways to improve our service lines, and the amount of re-investment made into all aspects of the businesses here.  The ownership is also extremely active in the businesses which is great leadership.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
We run 24/7 servicing multiple territories and states.  It is a lot of moving parts that takes a village of people to operate.  Very fast paced.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I work closely with everyone across the board and feel there is a lot of synergy in everyone focusing on the right things.  We take our responsibility to our patients very serious.  I enjoy everyone I work with.  The culture is centered on teamwork and collaboration to always continue improving. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Getting everything organized early to ensure our prime-time periods are setup for success, maintaining projects, communicating and assisting staff across the various territories, assisting clients, working with various departments on day-to-day activities, and monitoring general operations to maintain efficiency and reliability for the patients.

A typical day at work here is full of phone calls and messages or faxes, depending on your personal schedule with your manager and your team. I believe I have learned more about the medical field, as this was my introduction to it, and I have learned a lot about the world we live in here, honestly, through coworkers and clients. Management is doing well, from what I can see on my end of things, y'all hire great workers with big hearts and want to help. Workplace culture is very chill, it gets really quiet in here sometimes because everyone is working, but I enjoy being able to play my music quietly for myself while doing faxes and not bother others because of the cubicles. :)
The hardest part of the job is when you get calls from patients' loved ones notifying us of their death. I don't see any of the patients I speak to on a regular basis, but we form a relationship, person to person over the phone, so this is a very difficult thing to hear. Otherwise, the most enjoyable part of the job is helping the patients however I'm able and getting to know the wonderful people I work with on a daily basis.

I did not work here long because they let me go after a week and only gave me three days of training. I didn’t get the position I applied for they gave me a slightly higher position that isn’t in correlation of the original position it was odd. At the time the person who was in the position I wanted to apply for, applied for the position they have offered me. You would think if they were smart they would let someone within the company who is familiar with job get offered a higher position but they didn’t. It’s a slow job that they try to make fast paced. I’m a fast learner and did my work but they let me go not for my work related talents but for absolutely petty reasons. The people in my department was unhappy that I had gotten the position and not the person who was already working for the company that applied for the same position so it was hard to get along with them. I have a degree and experience but they were low balling the pay significantly. If you’re looking for a job I wouldn’t work for them, they don’t appreciate hard work and determination just money and they have a history of letting people go very often. I feel like people who are stuck in life or have no spark in personality come to work here. There’s also a lot of gossiping if you’re into that.

Fast-paced busy work environment supporting a growing medical company across Texas. I make a lot of phone calls, and emails, do a ton of data entry, and communicate with people at various levels of the organization internally and externally. Opportunities for growth and advancement professionally and personally. I've learned how to work with others, how to adjust my approach within my role, overcome many challenges, and experienced both losses and wins. The hardest part of this job is establishing boundaries, overcoming obstacles/challenges daily, and managing multiple changing priorities. The most enjoyable part of my job is helping other people whether it's discussing a new position, supporting them through the interview process, or cheering them on when they get the offer. Not everyone gets hired or interviewed for the roles ,but the connections you make along the way and the stories you get to hear make it worth it.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Freedom to work at my own reasonable pace and coworkers who were encouraging and dependable. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Never getting off on time which led to issues in my personal life along with constant wear and tear on my personal car. I was involved in 2 hit and runs while on the clock. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment was ok because most of the time I was in my car. Lab manager was  amazing but phlebotomy managers were very inconsiderate and nonchalant about issues we faced as phlebotomist. Day shift accessioners felt like the police just waiting to catch a mistake. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Waking up checking orders to plan the route and then stopping by the lab to grab ice packs and other needed supplies. During the route and collections there were contact check ins to let dispatch and other phlebotomist know where you were. After the route labs were dropped back at the lab to be accessioned.

What is the best part of working at the company?
None.  There are no pros do not come here I'm looking elsewhere.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
At first I thought this could be one of those jobs where you stay busy, help people, and build something steady, but that idea faded pretty fast once I saw how things actually ran behind the scenes. Basic things that should have been simple somehow tuned into your problem, equipment issues, paperwork, scheduling, tech problems, all of it somehow landed back on you, using your own phone became normal, driving all over the place for barely anything extra got old fast. your schedule could blow up in the middle of the day with zero warning, cases were not always checked properly which created some really uncomfortable situations, and when the workload got ridiculous nobody stepped in to help. They just kept piling more on, I brought concerns up more than once, even to upper management, and it was always the same polite nod followed by absolutely nothing, which made the whole experience stressful, awful, and exhausting in a way that slowly wears you down.

Working here was a challenge as I was too focused on patient care and doing my best by them. Sadly, I wasn't able to do my best due to the constant pressure and terrible attitude of my manager.

Slowly and steadily, this horrible person ruined my confidence by questioning everything I did and how I did it. I was ready for rudeness, disrespect, and verbal abuse every day. There was no way to avoid public humiliation. 

Shockingly, my manager wasn't just showing this terrible behavior towards me. All my colleagues were on the same boat. It got so bad that we all feared joining a Teams meeting with this person on the call. I made excuses to avoid the yelling, but I was barely successful. Trust me, you don't want this sort of traumatic experience in your life. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
This company offers a strong work-life balance and genuinely values its employees. Leadership operates with honesty and integrity, and hard work and dedication are recognized and rewarded. Managers are supportive and approachable, always willing to help when needed. The CEO and Directors are conscientious and make thoughtful decisions that benefit both employees and the company overall. It’s a great place to work if you’re looking for a positive and fair environment.

The company is expanding and evolving, this requires adaptability and a willingness to embrace new processes.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is supportive and respectful, with a team-oriented culture where employees are encouraged to collaborate and help one another succeed.

I have been with PHS for 3 years and its been an awesome place of work. Comfortable atmosphere and great coworkers. HR Department is very helpful and assist to you in a timely manner. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and work together as a team to make things happen for our patients. My department consist three team members and myself, being we are the Customer Service Department, we take more calls then other departments as we have a high volume of calls on a daily basis. At one point we were shorthanded two employees but Management was on top of it and fairly quickly was able to add two more employees to our team which help tremendously. If you like staying busy, you’ll definitely get that here and will do great. The Medical field is a learning experience and you learn something new everyday. At PHS, you will definitely get that which my opinion, a good thing, the more experience to your resume, the better.
