Med Marc  is one of the best companies I have ever worked at. Your co-workers are wonderful. The office politics is really interdepartmental as opposed to Co-Worker -v- Co-Worker. You are busy from the time you arrive until the time you go home, so except for lunch or a quick break, you are too focused on your task at hand to think about anything else. 

Med Marc's claims are intense. They are no little $5,000.00 you rear ended me and damaged my car claims. These are all complex high dollar claims with extremely complex coverage and liability issues. This position is more litigation management as opposed to simple claim adjusting. You are concerned with things like venue, jury pool, skill of your defense counsel, your insured's reputation in a community, recall issues, class action litigation and identification of the target defendant. A small claim has a 1 million dollar demand. Working at Med Marc is large loss adjusting at it's most intense level. 

When you work at Med Marc you will become a Frequent Flyer because of the Client Service visits, Meetings with Defense Counsel and Insureds and time spent at mediations, pre trial conferences and trial attendance.

I was hired to revamp and streamline their infrastructure. Upon settling into my position, I found very little support from the manager or leadership. My "last straw" was when a conflict came up between myself and another employee when I asked for Change Management procedures to be followed and approved by their supervisor because the things this person was asking for resulted in a major change in infrastructure. The employee didn't want to take the steps for proper Change Management and threw a fit to the CFO.  I got reprimanded for simply doing my job when the other employee was clearly in the wrong. I pled my case to everyone involved and was told that even though they agree with my assessment, that I should apologize to the other employee because things had gotten heated. I swallowed my pride, apologized and the other employee then scolded me as if I were a child in their presence, threatening things "far worse" if I ever talk back to them again. I found a new job within 2 weeks and never looked back. 

EAIG had found it's niche in the insurance world concentrating on small and medium size employers and catering their products and services to that type of businesses.  Workload ratio was much lower than large insurance companies and it paid off, they had high customer service satisfaction.

Typical day at work: visiting clients at their businesses and offering loss prevention solutions

Management was very flat and very approachable.

Coworkers:  did not meet too often since everyone was assigned a book of business and territory.

Hardest part of the job:  employers that did not want to invest in getting better, they just wanted to pay the premiums and have EAIG take care of any injured worker.

Most enjoyable part of the job:  Finding employers that did want to get better and implemented our recommendations.

Wonderful rank and file employees but mid and lower level management in IS is lacking. This is system wide in IS but management should never berate or belittle, yell or scream or discipline employees for gray areas in which they also partake. Bit of a buddy buddy system with a particular manager who also is the one that goes off on employees because this person has no clue on how to manage people. This manager does well on projects but just lacks zero personal respect at times all because they seem to have awakened in a bad mood. One never knows what they will get from day to day. This manager has the title but isn't worthy. 

The department as a whole has too many meetings and not enough time for focused work as well.

Maybe it depends on the department but this place is really lacking in diversity and inclusivity . I felt it the Moment my manager assumed my political affiliation based on nothing but my skin color .I could write a book but I ended up getting out of there As did the other ladies in my department . Management can either inspire or kill a team morale and I would say that the latter is what happened . I dreaded going to work and eventually left but not before experiencing some  of the micro aggressive behaviors from management and the department I was in . Being the only minority they made it loud and clear that I was the anomaly . I even asked for an exit interview and wasn t afforded one . 

I told the interviewer that I did not want an IT Help Desk position & they assured me that this was not a Help Desk position. Once I started I was told that I would be on the Help Desk even though I didn't want that position. I've since been moved up to T2 but that is worse than the phones. There is no help & you are on your own for fixing things. Management doesn't care & won't help you. I can't wait to find a new job where people work as a team. If you like working on your own without any help then this is the job for you. Don't expect help or to have time for anything outside of the job.

Typical day was fun, happy, comfortable and fast paced. I learned a lot. I learned about team work, work family and positivity. Management was great, kind and understanding. In all businesses there is always that luster lacking manager, but in all management was great! Co-worker were awesome and supportive. Hardest part was denying a claim.. The most enjoyable part was going to work every day!

The company has a strong community feel to it. There are four corporate values - Integrity, Leadership, Relationships and Enthusiasm. Relationships is a key value. It includes, not only relationships with clients, but relationships among employees. I've never felt that I couldn't go to my supervisor with an issue and fear a reprisal. They have always been accommodating to requests when possible, and reasonable when denying a request if necessary. I have enjoyed my experience working there.

Love it !! So flexible , manager is understands the needs of others.

Only getting 37.5 hours week instead of 40 and going in office once month

Easy , repetitive , just knowing what to expect

People I work with are the best. We have a great team. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Pretty much everything.  The data is a disaster.  Have to use multiple apps to do one thing. Management does not care about employees only making money

Awful.  Very low morale. Best people are leaving.
