What is the best part of working at the company?
The salary is great and the work you do with the patients is rewarding. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The documentation expectation can seem a little ridiculous, even for CMS standards, especially the treatment plan and how specifically the notes are expected to connect to it. For our program, corporate and the hospital we worked for didn’t seem to get along very well and there was a lot of turn over on the corporate side in just the year I was there. And, in my experience as a therapist, therapists were kind just out in left field with no real support or attachment to anyone in particular from corporate or the hospital. I think I would have been more ok with that if our program was busier, but I just felt isolated and disconnected a lot of the time. I’m not sure if other therapists in other programs felt the same way, but our team was not very cohesive with each other when I left so that didn’t feel supportive either. There was just so much disorganization and people’s egos getting in the way. The actual service, doing the therapy and the patients were great though. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Laid back, not punitive with mistakes and gave a lot of autonomy. But also disorganized and once I was ready to quit I felt like I noticed it was more toxic than I had originally thought, with not much thought to the interview process or the people they hire. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
We weren’t very busy yet so a lot of time I was the only one there for hours while other coworkers were out sick or doing whatever. When patients were there, we were supposed to be working more like a team, but I felt like the other coworkers felt like it was a chore to have to be there supporting me and the patients- and they often weren’t there when they were supposed to be. I really enjoyed when patients were there because I was actually engaged and doing my job.

The whole company would need to be overhauled before I recommended working here to anyone. Staff turnover is unmanageable. While I worked here, the entire staff turned over three times in less than a year (5 Program Directors, 3 Nurses, 6 Therapists, 3 OPCs, 3 PMHNPs, and at least 2 others were all fired or quit in that timeframe).

HR and upper management are inflexible, and will fire employees for coming in less than 5 minutes late, or use the threat of termination to hold compliance over employees heads. There is also very little care for clients, with leadership stating “we have to keep the lights on” when attempting to push back against therapist or provider recommendations. 

Additionally, policies and expectations change rapidly and without warning. In the short time I worked there, I experienced multiple changes to the PTO policy, my job description and structure, client care instructions and policies, work schedules, and more, and was told I needed to be respectful when these were addressed (quite respectfully). 

If all of this is not enough to curb your interest, you will also be expected to bring your work home or stay late to complete it, with employees often working 50+ hour weeks to get things done, and then be told “don’t work so late,” by management.

The pay is not worth it. If you find yourself here, always have a backup plan ready, and do not plan to stay more than a year.


Initially, I was hired to work in a program and after 1 year was promoted to a director position. The management and culture of the organization is one of acceptance, understanding, and kindness. They take compliance seriously and are willing to teach and re-teach if necessary. 

Work life balance is wonderful, and they will tell you that it is an expectation that you don't work on holidays or weekends, and want you to take time off for your own well-being. 

The organization is not top heavy in management, and management is very in tune to the needs of the staff. They are respectful of employees as an employee, person, colleague, and work family. 

Benefits are great. This is the first organization I have worked for that I can get parent +children health insurance for $70 month. They also offer vision, dental, supplemental, retirement, life insurance etc. 

Unfortunately, there is a significant difference between their vision and the team members  behaviors; they don't align with the vision. It feels like they have grown faster than they are able to manage. Unfortunately, the Friction,
Resistance to change,
Dysfunction, Cynicism and disengagement among employees 
Is not addressed with the clinical understanding and expertise needed (licensed clinical staff is utilized primarily for audit/administrative purposes) and therefore there is a middle/regional/hr level management issue that is counterproductive to providing the quality of care  needed to carry out Dr Green’s (the founder) mission. I like their values, the founder’s authenticity and passion is inspiring. Unfortunately, the misaligned workplace culture makes it difficult to yo deliver the most effective treatment  in the right way. A-Strong values, progressive, organized F-Poor cultural health

It's refreshing to find a company that emphasizes kindness as one of its main cultural identities. There is a feeling that one can let down their guard and actually do their work rather than worry about politics. Yes, we do have production expectations, but they are reasonable. How refreshing to not be just a cog in the wheel. The remote work environment is fantastic. However, our team can gather when we are in the same market and we do that at least once a month. 

The passion is there not only to grow but to be strategic in our growth while keeping to a program model that shows successful outcomes for our patients. Loved hearing our CEO demonstrate that our work not only affects the patients but also their family and communities. Our work really does make a difference!

Great collaborative team here. Leadership is poor, nitpicky, and disorganized. Company policies and procedures not followed consistently or are changed and then changed back. Terrible communication, most emails were not responded to. There is mandated overtime to the point you don’t get a day off. The benefits are decent, and inexpensive but the raises are terrible-worst I have ever seen. Also, no bonuses. This was the first company I ever worked for that I did not get a yearly end of year bonus. I also worked months without getting a lunch or a break. When I inquired into this with my supervisor I was told to,” step away from my phone for 5 minutes”. I was also not paid for not being able to take a lunch. There is an exorbitant amount of gossip and no confidentiality at all. 

The program and cooperation was excellent. Again, leadership at the hospital and management failed to detect undercurrents regarding team spirit and team cooperation. I was not readily accepted despite attempts to tell the Regional Director there would be problems (I detected issues right away upon meeting and being with other team members). I am African American, a female, an immediately detected problems with the team and hospital accepting me as a leader.

Management is quick to reply in answering questions. Excellent incentives for recognition of positive performance. Excellent curriculum provided for group therapy. Very positive company culture. Corporate office is very supportive and caring towards employees at all levels. Monthly staff trainings on new issues in the field strengthen camaraderie amongst employees across the country and build a strong support system.

The work I do is very fulfilling. I love working with the patients. The pay is pretty good. Benefits are great! However, management is very uncaring. The last regional supervisor I had was great! The current regional supervisor leaves A LOT to be desired. She doesn't even pretend to care about the people under her. We have been without a fulltime therapist in my program for over 2 years with no prospects in sight. Corporate does not lessen the workload to accommodate for the extra work we have to do. And they don't compensate us for the extra work we have to do.

Community, patients, small staff, pay. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Time off, getting better with PRN staff availability to cover for time off.

Supportive, small staff, important to help each other, leadership listens!
