I was excited to be at this job , but the excitement quickly turned into the most miserable and stressful time of my life , the behaviors of the patients were expected so that was easy to brush off , what rubbed me the wrong way was the lack of support from management, any problems that you presented, were somehow turned into something about productivity, only for the clinical staff  and higher since we would have to bill for services provided  , it was almost as though the residents were treated as walking dollar signs  and their treatment basically didn’t matter, i tried everything I could to make my time better ,but I was apprehensive to express any concerns because I didn’t want to make myself a target , the stress of this job will definitely be apart of my work history ptsd.  The benefits are okay if you’re single, But if you have a family ,nothing is included for them , the pay for clinical staff and higher is beautiful, but you’re going to sacrifice yourself for that compensation, there isn’t any flexibility at all , so you either work full time hours, or a bunch of OT as floor staff, or you’re basically forced to quit , if you’re courteous enough to give notice, you will be asked to turn in company property by the end of the day , because two week notices are not honored here , that just shows you how disposable you really are to them , there seems to be A lot of misleading information that is given  so that you take the job so I would advise to get any everything that is said to you in writing, this company could be great if they remembered why they’re in this business, this is a mental health facility that doesn’t care about the wellbeing of the staff , if things don’t change soon  this company will never retain their staff who are actually passionate about their work , it was a tough decision to quit , but when you’re not being supported why stay somewhere that you’re valued 

I went into this place thinking hard work would mean something, but it quickly turned into survival mode. We were constantly understaffed, juggling way too many roles at once, and expected to somehow keep everything perfect while being paid next to nothing. The workload never slowed down and there was zero breathing room, just constant pressure piling up.

The bosses hover over everything, the have different opinions and demands. One day you are told to focus on speed, the next day you are blamed for mistakes due to rushing. Productivity is the only thing that matters to them and people are treated like numbers instead of humans.

Clients are not seen as people with real needs, they are just income sources to squeeze as much out of as possible. That mindset trickles down to staff, where empathy is nonexistent and burnout is basically expected. You can feel the greed baked into every decision made.

Leadership is weak and chaotic. CEO feels completely disconnected from reality, no guidance, no mentoring, and no real understanding of what happens on the ground. The previous CEO at least showed some concern for the people inside the residence, but that sense of care is long gone.

The environment is straight up abusive. Emotional abuse is brushed off as motivation, and speaking up only makes things worse. Support from management does not exist unless it benefits them directly. There is no growth, no training, and no future here. Regulations are ignored when inconvenient, company culture is nonexistent, and promises are empty. You are expected to meet unrealistic goals without the tools or staff to do it. As long as numbers look good, the abuse continues and nothing changes. STAY AWAY! YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

My experience working at Psynergy Programs, Inc. was challenging due to the strong emphasis on productivity and billable services. Staff are expected to maintain high numbers, which can create a demanding pace throughout the day.

This position also did not feel like a typical LVN role compared with other nursing positions I have held. Some responsibilities and expectations differed from what many nurses might expect in a traditional clinical setting, so it is important for applicants to ask detailed questions about the role and day-to-day duties during the hiring process.

Communication between departments and leadership sometimes felt inconsistent. When questions arise, employees may be directed to different supervisors or departments, which can make it difficult to receive clear guidance.

During my time there, some responsibilities occasionally extended beyond what I initially expected when accepting the position. Individuals who are comfortable adapting to changing expectations and a high-volume workflow may find the role easier to navigate.

The pay is fairly typical for the field. Benefits are unreasonable to afford in today’s climate. I did work with some supportive coworkers who were dedicated to helping clients.


Hard work shouldn't scare anyone away. The time moves fast and the people are amazing to work with. Minimal gossip and very positive environment. Management is flexible with days off and will go out of their way to adjust your schedule to something that works for you. The management understands that people sometimes need an extra day off to refresh the mind. Don't over use the sick time though! 

Compensation is reasonable but higher paid positions typically don't get bonuses or raises, even with above average work performance. Floor positions are paid above the average. Excellent work performance is often rewarded with small raises for these positions.

Upper management has a passion for the clients we work with. They spend many hours and thousands of dollars improving the building. They are constantly upgrading and improving the building to make the environment more enriching for the clients.

Communication is excellent. With the use of email and group texting, everyone is kept in the loop in regards to client care. Everyone has a great sense of humor and staff are consistently supportive of each other.

The free meals at work are nice; almost all the meals are gourmet meals!

Matching 5% 401k is extra money in your retirement pocket. PTO is reasonable and goes up with each year you work there.

Unprofessional, emotionally reactive management who play favorites with employees. The owners don't even try to hide that they aren't people friendly, everyone is scared of them. All management and owners are on power trips. You'd think a mental health facility would know how to work through bumpy employee relations, they don't, it becomes who's taking who's side and how can we get them fired. They spend a lot to make the facility look good from the outside because they charge the clients a lot to live there but they daily living equipment like washers and dryers, kitchen equipment, plumbing (for some reason the sewer backs up into the kitchen sometimes which shuts the entire kitchen down obviously, the mattresses and bed frames are bad quality and hurt the clients) always break down, there's never enough towels or linen and the towels and linen are worn and have holes. It's heartbreaking on all levels. Don't work here unless you don't mind your heart hurting.

I got hired on as a MHRSII, i enjoyed the work that I was doing , my supervisor at the time was new in their role , but we connected because we both were first generation graduates going after advanced degrees. I got to run equine therapy and I can say that was the highlight of my time with the company. Everyday was different and the environment was fast paced. There is a lot of emphasis placed on productivity, but if you knew what you were supposed to be doing it was easy to hit the mark . I didn’t necessarily care for some of the people I worked with but I wasn’t there for them . I only quit this job because my school schedule did not fit with the requirements needed to maintain my position. I would return to this job because I know I could do something different in a different department if my current position didn’t fit my needs.

Helping clients move from locked facilities.  Mission driven and has integrity.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The county mental health systems we work with, about 23 I think, are complicated and very different from each other.  

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Friendly and upbeat.  The clients make the day wonderful and interesting.   

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
We have a morning huddle to discuss any hot spots with clients, issues or concerns, and also who is doing great.  Because 99% are doing great.  Then we are assigned tasks for the day, room care, taking clients out, laundry, meal time support (marking who is there and how much they are eating), announce groups, assist with groups, then afternoon huddle and share with next shift. Sometimes I get to just have some nice 1 to 1 time with clients.  I like that.  Making them feel individual and special attention.
