What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
No flexibility with working from home. Your productivity is measured by whether you are at your desk during the small amounts of time that leaders are looking for you at your desk because they spend every hour of every day in meetings that are completely unnecessary and mismanaged. 

They profess that their mission is to make people smile but because of examples from those at the top, it isn’t uncommon for employees to yell and curse at each other, practice passive aggressiveness and get promoted because someone is in with the “in crowd” or allows for inappropriate advances. There is absolutely no diversity or inclusion department here, and if you try and go to HR to report something, it is likely that they will try and turn it around on you, asking you what you did to deserve it. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Meetings upon meetings upon meetings. Feeling on guard, walking on egg shells. Not being able to enjoy vacation because of poor planning.

Poor, but nice, I guess trying to get things together. This is not my management, but upper management. I did not have a manger in the sense of the word. I Had a Yong girl who does not belong in the position. But with little to no other option.
ok, but there is a lot of gossip, and people who have been there for 20 years, so there is not any innovation, critique of their procedures and processes. They say they are very precise and rely on procedures to the bottom line. Well, ss soon as you have a suggestion that they are wrong, you are gone.
Working with the uninformed, educated manager, if you can call her that.

The ability to WFH 2 days a week is so incredibly important. Most of us get A LOT more done since we can focus without interruptions. Not to mention not driving those 2 days from an environmental standpoint, and being able to start working earlier since not in traffic, bad weather, etc. Having a caring and positive executive leadership team is profound. The culture is likely one of the best things about working at QS. The quarterly events/celebrations and All Hands Meetings bring the ENTIRE company together and there's real time transparency. Employees who've been at QS over 5 years, 10 years etc are awarded by extra PTO and discounts on QS products. The product giveaways are fantastic and a huge perk. I LOVE my coworkers!!!

The training for the Customer Experience role is extremely slow and unprofessional.  The trainer has a wealth of knowledge, but also possesses the curse of knowledge.  The trainer eats food, chomps on ice, or is watching baseball on their phone while training. That is not a good atmosphere to learn. There is no structure. There are no SOP's. There is an awesome amount of information on their products to learn the products, but it took 4 weeks to be shown how to place an order. The level of communication is extremely poor. I was consistently told how good I was doing by the trainer, who at the same time, was complaining about me behind my back. 

QS offers great benefits and you will learn a lot about science, nutrition, and health. 
The con is it is not without office politics. Marketing Director did not seem qualified and blamed others while she was forgetful and seemed confused about what was going on in her own department. 
Customer service will always have a high turn over because of the high stress of dealing with customers. Most customers are pleasant but when thing go wrong in the company the customer service has to take the heat of angry customers. 
Upper management can judge harshly while not admitting to their own mistakes and understanding that we are all human. 

Clear production expectations. Encouragement to learn, develop, and innovate the manufacturing process. Friendly coworkers and amazing workplace culture.

Managers listen and work with you. Management cares about health and safety of employees.  

I learned cGMP and cGDP practices. I learned about product scale-up and I gained RnD experience while working in manufacturing.


For the most part quicksilver is a great come to work for. Good benefits, work life balance is amazing. Just dont get stuck working in production. The manager is not a good manager. There is no time to have a good laugh in or feel a bit of disappointment. Watch out on his bad day because you might get yelled at for something you didnt even do. You cant go to HR to talk about this problem because HR is biased. There is no way going around or even getting a chance to be heard. There is no work stability

I did not feel that I was given any timeline of expectations. The training was shaky at times. I felt part of a group when we had corporate get togethers and not when I was with my, so-called team. I was supposed to meet the various managers of the departments and never did. I tried to figure out who did what during my time there. I was told to reach out if I had questions to different departments including my team, but when I did, I was reprimanded for doing so. Very confusing.
