I absolutely love working for this company. The owner is very much involved and seems to care about his employees. He also still does field work if necessary to get the job done and all patients seen. All management personnel are awesome and always responsive to any questions or problems. I love the fact that I control my own schedule, so if I need time off of work, I just schedule my patients accordingly. The hardest part of the job is the fact that your work hours are never guaranteed, so you can never count on a solid, steady amount of pay each payday. Also, your schedule is forever changing due to various reasons like the medication not being delivered on time, among many other reasons someone may need to change their visit date. Sometimes it’s hard to move a patient that needs to be seen 3 consecutive days when you already have a full schedule. Also, there are ZERO benefits. I’ve even considered finding a new job that offers insurance, even though this job makes me very happy. No vacation time, no sick days, no PTO, no insurance, no incentives except for the fact that you can make your own schedule and the pay is competitive. That being said, NO taxes are held because everybody is hired as an independent contractor and gets 1099 for tax purposes. I’ve never been employed as an independent contractor and had to save money for taxes at the end of the year. I find this extremely difficult and it always puts me in a bind at the end of the year and causes lots of stress. So, the pay attracts your attention, but it is deceiving because that’s not really your pay amount after you take out money to pay taxes. There is a lot of driving involved if you want to keep a full schedule. This company is the only company I’ve worked for that pays you hourly for drive time instead of just paying a set amount for miles driven. This form of compensation for drive time seems a lot more fair to me. 

RNE is an outstanding work environment, operated by nurses and managed by the best IV nurses in the world .This year they had a Christmas Party in Orlando were the owner paid for all experiences to include a one day stay at a five star hotel for Christmas Dinner and a very funny, Dinner Theater experience, the day before the Big Dinner.  In todays market this is unheard of  that this type of work environment exists . RNE is located in Jacksonville and the planned party was at Orlando so everyone could attend because we have offices in every major city - region in the company.  RNE had employees coming from Tennessee, Alabama ,Kentucky and over 148  people did attend. To add to this conversation most employers  got a bonus based on how long they served. RNE has over 300 nurses and 50 to 60 back office management employees. I understand not everyone can be happy but if you are proactive with this company you will get results with RNE.  I’m retired military and they never paid for a hotel stays and I never got a bonus just a kick in the you know what! Look out RNE will be in your city in the months and years to come!!!!!

Drive to see pt. Set up pt for infusion, assess during infusion. Complete infusion.  I learn about different people and different drugs and different types of infusions with SE and things to observe for.  I have to be alert to manage any complication or situation that may occur during infusion whether drug related or pt related.  The home workplace provides a complely different culture everytime you go into a home to work.  You need to respect their culture and their home and their way as you care for your pt.  The hardest part of the job is getting pts for me.  The most enjoyable part is interacting with the patients.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There’s no stress !  I do home IV therapy. I love it. Some of my patients are an hour away from my home but I’am used to it. I listen to music on the way!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Wonderful, all the staff in the office are amazing 
We have a fabulous group of IV nurses!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I work per diem. As needed. Usually I have part time hours. Today my patient was only 30 minutes away. I started her IV, mixed the medicine, Inflectra, Infused it, took out  the iV. Vitals then done. I finished my note as well.

 Infusion nurses require astute organizational skills.
The knowledge is multifaceted and requires continuous personal and professional growth. Nurses need an environment that fosters collaboration, effective communication, and mutual respect. Hearing from the CEO means that the organization is meeting objectives, which include maintaining compliance, patient safety, transparency, and trust. Inclusion fosters trust and collaboration.

They are good, kind and professional. And they take pride in their company and take care of their employees. Really good work environment..

I can’t think of one at the moment.

Healthy work environment and culture.

I really like RNE's electronic charting system, NursePlexus,  that was created specifically for infusion nurses.  I can usually get all of my charting done before leaving the client's home.  Very straightforward.  Everything you need/ nothing you don't.

Autonomy, respect for one another

I have not had drawbacks or stress

Excellent. All staff has been respectful and kind.

Infusion of biologic medication in their home.

The management is so easy to work with. Everyone is friendly and it's obvious they care about there  nurse team. The perdiem infusion nurses have schedule flexibility. Everyone is always available to help each other out.

RNE is one of the best places I have ever worked. I have been doing Home Infusions for 20 years, and RNE is fair, flexible, and overall just a great place to work. I've been with them for 4 1/2 years.
