Red-Light-Management

Red Light Management has a great list of artists but the people who manage these artists will not help you at all. They will make you do very low class tasks like delivering dog food and toys to someones home. They also tell you to go and buy things for an event... once the event is over they will ask you to return the stuff you bought. The other interns are very bratty individuals. You do not have access to other floors unless you are delivering mail to managers and their assistants You will not be noticed by anyone and no one will guide you. You have to know someone in the team to get any work otherwise you will sit there and just listen to music or do errands. There is a presentation at the end of the internship and be prepared to get all of your ideas shot down.

Red Light has a great, laid back culture where everyone works hard and takes responsiblity for their own tasks. I like that I get to work independently and don't have somebody breathing down my neck at all times, I work better that way! Only con I can think of is not hiring enough people to shoulder the amount of work coming in, and not starting their employees at competitive salaries / giving much opportunity for growth within the company.

Not always a ton of work for you, but the company is super flexible with your personal schedule and very understanding with your school priorities. Great experiences and people to work with, although you may not get a chance to meet or get to know everyone in the department.

I had a great time interning for Red Light and learned so much in the few months there.  I was mentored by Jonathan Drolshagen over at the Jefferson Theater and he really took his time and took me under his wing.  Great internship if you're trying to get your foot in the industry.

Red Light Management has a great work environment, and dogs allowed in the office! Very relaxed but everyone gets their work done professionally. Can come and go as you please to do your job to the best of your abilities. 

Internship would have you be doing things like filing receipts, ordering certain products online, running office errands such as getting lunch for everyone/coffees/teas/etc.

This was a great place to work. Likeminded creative individuals that are able to nerd-out over new music. A great incubator for future music industry hopefuls

Great company to work for!  They value their employees time and give lots of opportunity to delve into the industry. Hours can be long and pay is what you make of it, but overall 10/10.

It's really what you make of it.  Don't anticipate too much help from anyone in the company.  I've learned a lot having been in this business before, during and after the pandemic.  It's never easy.

Not much room for growth within the company, as each team is segregated from one another for the most part. Very low salaries all around, and extremely long hours.
