I have been working here for about a year, and I love it! As a new therapist, I feel I am getting the best experience I could ask for and have grown immensely due to the array of incoming clients with both addiction and mental health issues. Because they take insurance, you get to work with many different demographics which has been so invaluable in my learning. In the past year, I have seen over 100 people in individual therapy and have led therapy groups with the entire clientele. The amount of learning in a short period of time is immeasurable! I would not have gotten this experience in private practice.

Our clinical supervisor is excellent, and I have learned so much from our supervision, her generosity, and support. Because we work as part of a clinical team, you get to consult with fellow therapists and a treatment team which is invaluable as a new therapist. Working in private practice can be lonely, and a big perk for me is getting to not only work with other therapists, but with an entire staff of RA's, nurses, counselors, alternative healers, group leaders, clients, and our awesome chef. We are a big family!

Another big perk is the flexibility - you can create your own schedule to some extent and explore the therapeutic modalities that fit you and your clients. You get to lead groups, choose the topic, and be as creative as you want! In a sense, you are thrown in the deep end but helped to swim by many, which is what I was looking for. 

So if you want to become an excellent clinician, feel supported, and have a sense of family, you found the right place! 

First I really like my direct manager. Easy to talk to and get direct feedback from, Meals are provided if you work during one, and they understand and support my invisible disability. Great place to learn the ropes if you catch on quickly, but don't stay too long! There are better paying places with a less stressful environment available in the area.
However the place is only staffed about half of what was promised. There are multiple days a week where you're expected to cover multiple houses because there simply aren't enough staff. Managment has hired a few new employees, but twice as many have left meaning there are less staff presently then when I started. Houses are run in chaotic manner with most of the staff not trained or equipped with the proper certificates to legally run therapy groups. Because of the lack of staff training is rushed, glossed over, and done only so they can be scheduled in houses alone. 
Managment is aware of organizational concerns and seems used to mediocrity in properly stocked closets, office supplies, and employee standards I'm order to not lose more employees. 

With my job title,  I have the ability to work from home which can usually have its challenges. Between the management and clinical teams at renewal health group, I am able to get my job completed more easily than other facilities I was on sight for.  The culture within this company is authentic and enthusiastic about both their employees and regarding client care. This company is very ethical and competent in their family valued approach for substance use disorder. I have worked for several substance use disorder facilities in the last decade and Renewal is the only one I would send a family member to. The team is very supportive to their employees and we all work together to achieve desired results while creating a healing atmosphere for our clients. Management is very supportive, the pay is great, and the benefits are above par. Not many companies create an environment where their employees feel seen and appreciated. I would highly recommend joining this team in any capacity.

I've worked in the treatment industry for almost 10 years, and coming over to Renewal was the best decision I've made. I am motivated to work hard and provide the best care for our clients because we have a team that supports one another from upper level management to all positions here. Not only do I get the opportunity to wake up every day and do a job that I love helping others, but I also have gained a supportive work family that I wouldn't trade for anything.

The level of care that we provide to our clients is unmatched, and it feels great to make a true difference in the lives of those we help. I started with the company as a nurse when we were a one 6 bed facility. We have grown significantly in recent years. I am proud to work for Renewal and have the opportunity to continue to grow professionally with the company.  I truly enjoy the ability to be part of clients recovery journey. Our clients safety, progress, and recovery are of upmost importance to our medical, clinical, and leadership team.  Owners are one of a kind and truly care about staff/clients. Support and comradery among staff is what makes us unique.  

Since I started at Phoenix Rising Recovery I have felt nothing but love from there. I enjoy going to work everyday with how the work culture actually practices what they preach. I feel like I’m apart of a family there that wants to see everyone succeed. They gave me the tools and knowledge to do my job successfully. When I first started they took me under their wing and have helped me grow significantly. They have instilled a confidence in me that you don’t usually see at other places. I am very grateful for having the opportunity to work at Phoenix Rising Recovery. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
It’s a great company. Not only do they take care of their clients they also take care of their employees. I had a wonderful time working for them.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Clients who are detoxing, but that is only for up to 7 days.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture was awesome. Good healthy vibes.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Census every 30 minutes, assisting clients and taking clients to NA/AA

I look forward to coming to work everyday. I am always learning something new. The people I work with are always ready to help each other. It is a very relaxed but serious work environment.  I love to see the hope and light return in someone's eye's . My boss saw something in me that I hadn't even tapped into .  Now I am doing what I have wanted to do my entire life. Working here has changed my life and has allowed me to help others change theirs. The number one reason I love working here is that the owners and phoenix rising leadership really cares about staff, but most of all, the clients! If you are looking to make a difference in others lives suffering from mental health and addiction issues this is the place to be. 

I have worked for other programs, and as a person in recovery, this is by far the best company I’ve ever had the pleasure of working for. The owners of the company have a genuine desire to help people and be a part of the process themselves. My supervisors gave me the ability to grow and become the successful person I am today. I know it sounds cliché to say but Renewal is my family and I’m genuinely grateful to be a part of this work family!
