I started at Resilience Lab receiving a headshot, video shoot, and they paid for my profiles like Psychology Today and ZenCare.  Then I went through their Academy and the trainer, Lindsay, made me feel more comfortable with starting my career as a psychotherapist.  Next up was my time to build a caseload and it wasn't easy.  I thought I'd be flooded with clients since my profiles look great but that wasn't the case.  It took time.  I wasn't really "full" until 5 months in.  Full to me meant about 22 clients.  I eventually reached 28 clients and capped out.  But in the meantime, I had a great relationship with my Supervisor and fellow cohort members who I started with and got further training at their Institute.  Overall, being a therapist wasn't as easy as I thought it was going to be but Resilience Lab has made it a great experience and I would highly recommend. 

This used to be a great company to work for. The culture was supportive and enthusiastic, and there were plenty of opportunities to grow professionally, including opportunities to learn through the institute and stretch your caseload. Suddenly the company had unexpected lay offs this year and we quickly witnessed the changing culture within the company. Clinicians were not informed of who had been laid off and transparency was minimal. Referrals dried up and clinicians are complaining of struggling to grow or maintain their caseloads. Management support is at a minimum, where you feel like you have to chase administrative staff to get a simple answer. Sliding scale and low cost options are no longer offered to clients in need - even for clinicians who were hired with a few sliding scale slots. The culture is changing and although I used to be proud to work here I no longer feel that way. Feels like it may be time to move on. 

Resilience Lab is truly an amazing place to work. The company culture is exceptional, fostering collaboration, growth, and inclusivity at every level. The staff across all departments are incredibly supportive and always willing to help, creating an environment where you feel valued and empowered.

If you’re looking for a workplace that values its employees, promotes teamwork, and is driven by a meaningful mission, Resilience Lab is the place to be!

Therapists are treated as cogs in a wheel and management has attempted to squash any agency and autonomy. Therapists who fail to meet benchmarks are called “offenders” and risk being fired. Management has a hostile attitude toward the unionized therapists and mask it with phony collegiality that silences any contrarian thinking or independent thinking. The measure of a good therapist at RL is compliance to management and its dictates. Not the quality of the clinical work. Most supervisors are caring and professional and RL does offer educational opportunities, but I could not recommend this as a workplace given management’s disorganization, focus on profit, and hostile attitude toward its employees which manifests as singling out individuals for retribution. 

Working at Resilience Lab has been an amazing experience. Those around me have created a culture in which I feel comfortable to ask questions, learn and explore my interests, and ultimately grow as a person. I am constantly challenged in this fast paced environment and I love that everyday looks a bit different. 

Working with clinicians has been inspiring as I witness their dedication and commitment to continuous learning and self-improvement. It’s remarkable to see the effort they put into growing both personally and professionally to provide the best possible care for their patients. I am truly motivated by their passion for making a difference in the lives of others!

I cannot recommend this company enough!

I have been a therapist at Resilience Lab for over a year now and it has been amazing to see how much growth has happened, both internally and externally. Resilience Lab has a deep commitment to providing quality yet affordable care to clients and this is demonstrated through the time and resources they put into training clinicians. I appreciate having the Resilience Institute to further my education on topics that I am interested in while maintaining a full caseload. Huge bonus for free supervision! Overall, this has been a great place to work towards full licensure and I hope to stay with the company when I become fully licensed.

A lot of clinicians are struggling to build their caseload and as a result, are making little to no compensation. They spend a lot of time on how to market yourself as a clinician, yet could’ve used more training on how to navigate multiple digital tools and websites they use for assessments, PHI, billing and more. So many of the clinicians in my cohurt are lost and confused because they also change policies and procedures a lot. 

A lot of careless mistakes are made by management that impacts clinicians’ pay, benefits and client retention. Different departments are never on the same page leaving new clinicians lost on how to navigate things here. Only think keeping me here is my supervisor, group supervision and my clients. If you’re thinking of doing this full-time, think again. 

I love working here. You have a ton of flexibility and you get to choose your supervisor, clients, hours, etc. Plus, it's all remote (if you want it to be). The in-network rates are much higher and, generally speaking, the compensation is comparable, if not competitive, to other practices. I've taken advantage of all the continued education opportunities and got a lot out of them. I've met a lot of lovely clinicians and grateful that I found a new community. 


This job has offered me flexibility of my schedule and space to work at my own pace while also encouraging me to create my own projects that drive the business goals. The teams are small but there is a sense of community from people who genuinely enjoy their jobs and the people around them. This would be a great place from newer clinicians to learn both clinical and professional skills needed to succeed as an independent practitioner.
