the company itself seemed fine and i felt confident that i could learn the job with no issues. but the people i work with makes a huge difference to me when starting a new job and that was the dealbreaker for me. it just wasn’t worth it bc the environment was so awful. out of ALL the girls (it was a big office with about 20 different girls) there was maybe 2 that weren’t an issue (trust me if it were only a few, i would look past it).  i really really tried to like it and get along with them, truly, but it got to the point where i would attempt to say something to different people without drawing unwanted attention to myself (to potentially make things worse), and i was straight up just getting ignored. and this was also going on for an extended period of time… i told myself it would get better many times and tried to just push through with a smile on my face and ignore it as if it wasn’t happening since i knew i was there to do a job and not make friends anyway, but it kept getting worse by the day…and harder to ignore. the girls try to act like they’re nice and welcoming but they’re actually really fake and uninviting. extremely condescending and will intentionally leave you out of the loop on things, whether work or personal related.  it’s weird and it’s just a huge turn off for any new employee. it effects how you work and when you’re training to learn and master the job. and that’s when i don’t play, when it affects my job and how i work. don’t walk, run in the other direction. i honestly hope someone even higher than management sees this just so they can try to make a change…if they even can make any difference with that many girls acting that way. it’s giving “mean girls: naples addition” lol. and now it makes total sense why i’ve had several friends who turned down offers due to “bad vibes” at their interviews and why the company constantly has people leaving. just to give you an idea: when i started, more than half the staff was new lol. and i’m talking like, only a couple of months new. gee i wonder why. it’s sad too cuz this company and the nice doctors i worked with have so much potential…if they’re staff didn't ruin it. (this is the downtown naples location btw)

I loved learning dermatology. I’m grateful for that. 
However, I probably hated 75% of my time there because of managment. 

CONS:
- Expect to get in trouble, a lot.
- Expect NOT be allowed to have days off
- Prepare to be hassled by Work if you have to leave for any family issues. They do NOT understand or care about family. 
- Prepare to get scolded for trying to get to know/converse with your supervising physician. Apparently, getting along with your coworkers is not acceptable. 
- Management parades around trying to intimidate staff 
- Don’t bother asking to leave early if you’re Work is done because they WILL give you others work. 
- Some physicians and managements have that ever so pleseant GOD complex. 
- They give you minimal training and then expect you to be perfect THEN ream you out when you make a mistake. 
Some physicians expect the assistants to perform things OUTSIDE of their scope of practice. 
- Management WILL NOT help when the team is short staffed BUT the team is demanded to help when management needs. 
- They expect you to have YOUR SCHEDULED DAYS OFF be made available to them at their request. Despite if you have appt or events that day. 
- They do NOT care about their staff. 
- They revoke your “cosmetic benefits” even after they’ve told you when you’re eligable to receive them. 
- They speak to employees very passive aggressively and even try to talk to people like their stupid. 

I can go on and on. I have left this place numerous times crying with anger at how employees are treated as dogs, lower than the rest and as just a number. 

PROS:
- I’ve made some amazing friends at this place. All of which share the same sentiments listed above. Most of everyone works hard and helps each other. 
I’ve learned the super cool specialty of dermatology and I love it.

Riverchase is a rapidly growing practice with lots of opportunities. It's a fast paced and dynamic environment. Benefits, 401k, and a generous bonus structure are available. 
It appears that Riverchase likes to give equal opportunity when hiring. Employees that I've worked with that leave the company often weren't suited for their positions to begin with and crumbled when held accountable. Hiring pool is getting better and management is supportive - hard working team members shine and are well rewarded and recognized for their efforts. 

From my experience, working in the health care industry can be a very stressful but an equally rewarding career. Riverchase makes working in the health care industry a much more pleasurable experience and provides you unique learning and working opportunities. The company has it's own credible lab, a clinical research department, and skincare line. It's an impressive company to work for and it's only going to keep growing. As the company becomes more successful, we, the employees do as well.  I love working here and encourage other like minded, hard working, career focused individuals to apply and see what this company has to offer.

Senior leaders are a bunch of liars, mean, irrational , and controlling- bottom line,  always about MONEY not the employees that keep their patients happy. Owned by a private equity firm which explains this. they claim they are transparent but lie through their teeth. Will hire you and promise the world, but salaries are capped, benefits expensive and time off scarce and controlled. Perfect exam, corona handling- they furlough 90% of staff with no notice, no compensation package or care about how this effects them. Sent dumbest person in company, senior manager,  to let go of workers, but she didn’t even know what furlough was . Had to ask my office manager. Somehow this person who is stupid beyond belief, never at any office helping out or doing her job, and brings no value to company, kept on favorites and paying them more, instead of rewarding employees who have been dedicated and there for many years. They will be losing so many good people after this is over who now know the truth. Not happy we are going thru this but at least true colors can be seen. Shame on This company. Don’t get sucked in. Go elsewhere.

Management is a joke, with more office managers, senior office managers, and supersivors than regular office staff. Manager meetings are a weekly occurrence with little to no change.  When a manager is needed, they’re not in the office and when you call to the office they’re supposed to be in, they’re nowhere to be found. Expect be have little to no support, as the staff deficiency is a perpetual issue. Heath insurance is outrageous for a corporation boasting near 500 employees, and PTO is accrued. If you’ve been employed for 10 years, at your anniversary date you have no PTO as you cannot carry over. About that, they will not cash out out; you use it or lose it. There is not structured training as it varies from office to office, so expect variances while traveling between offices. Traveling: sometimes you will work at 3-4 different offices per week. To summarize employment at Riverchase Dermatology: you will be compensated somewhat well, be given terrible healthcare benefits and PTO, and will be taken for granted until you decide to leave.

I have been in the medical field, specifically Dermatology, for 6+ years. I have worked at multiple practices and Riverchase Dermatology was by far the worst experience I've had as an employee. This is somewhere I'd recommend to a patient, but not a friend or family member. I have never been so overworked, worked through so many lunches, stayed late multiple days, been berated by management because somehow you still don't do enough, talked badly about by a provider IN FRONT of patients, been disrespected by patients and told nothing can be done. Everyday walking into the office and everyone verbally complaining and expressing their disgust for the workplace puts you in a lull. The turnover rate was so drastic and the number of hardworking and passionate employees that quit astounds me. The list goes on. Overall, this experience took a toll on my mental health and I had to leave to find my peace and a healthy work environment. Now I am with a Dermatology practice that is literal night and day and I'm so grateful and proud I left Riverchase. 

Riverchase Dermatology has grown tremendously over these last few years and has plenty of opportunities to advance within the company. The compensation is great, especially when compared to other companies in the area. The leadership team always go above and beyond to show their appreciation for their employees and they work they do. They provide out of work "team building activities and have even done in-office events such as an "ice cream social". 

They provide in-depth training for each position, and continued learning after your 90 days. They work to set you up for success in your role and also offer opportunities to build your skills, should you wish to grow in the company. The leadership team is supportive and listens to what their employees have to say, taking their employees ideas/feedback into consideration. What is the best part of working at the company?
Absolutely nothing. This was the worst job I’ve ever had. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part was the lack of support and clear communication. Expectations weren’t clearly set, yet there was constant pressure to perform without proper training or guidance. On top of that, the overall team dynamic was negative and unmotivated, with little collaboration or accountability, which made the work environment even more difficult.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment was cold and unwelcoming, with little to no team support. Communication was poor, and new employees were not properly trained or included. It was difficult to succeed in a setting where guidance and basic professionalism were lacking. Overall, the culture felt disorganized and unsupportive rather than collaborative.

I was recruited as a PA and felt very respected and supported by the company. It's well-organized and has a great CEO, which was a breath of fresh air. Each practice may be a little different. Mine was an oasis on Marco Island. I would highly recommend it. I relocated out of state for my husband's job, but would happily come back if we ever move back to an area that has RCD. One of the best dermatology companies I have worked for with many aspects being the best. They are transparent and ethical with a lot of amazing executives who made my job as a provider easy. They were taking care of all administrative needs and training medical assistants for me, had prior authorization staff, and took care of all my licensure paperwork. If you are a PA or NP this is a great company to join.
