Being an activity assistant is a wonderful way of learning all the resident's back grounds and how much we put the effort to make them feel like there at home, willing to help in any way with the resident;s needs is more helpful when they cant do them selves. 

I've learned alot about the place I work in its hard to communicate with resident's needs when there unable to speak for them selves, I have learned how to see there needs when working with residen'ts who are unable to move. 

I always like to put a smile on the residents face when i bring them coffee , reading to them, socializing, get them comfortable in there beds or in there chairs, I tend to there needs when there in pain or when they feel depressed. 

Working for this company has made me who I am today I feel like i have accomplished my goals with the my job position and that I've worked very well with my co workers and always communicated with them.

What is the best part of working at the company?
To help care for the Residents is the only best part! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of teamwork nothing is organized, lack of communication to much gossip, lack of professionalism toward staff, residents and responsibilities. Building maintenance is unhealthy.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There is no diversity!! No one respects each other and no accountability. The Administrator lack leadership skills and team building skills. Lack of supplies to do your job. Several racist concerns with staff that reflects on the residents.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day is to come in the building to do your job and care for the Residents to the best of my abilities and utilize what you have to get the job done.

Performed related patient care functions such as taking vital signs, applied and removed dressings, and administered medications as ordered.   Evaluated patient's conditions and care plans, by observing reactions to therapy, to identify unexpected or other significant findings. Initiated appropriate emergency procedures as necessary and reported unusual conditions to the RN. Interpreted appropriate lab results, and reported to Doctors in a timely manner. Provided treatments such as urinary catheterizations, bladder irrigations, suctioning procedures, throat irrigations and enemas.  Gained strong clinical judgment experience, extensive experience with providing quality care and treatment to hospice and palliative care patients as well as HIV/ AIDS patients.

There is no support, no team work. They're some very wonderful people that work here however there's a lot of ignorance as to how things are supposed to run at a SNF, protocols and even basic requirements. There is little in the way of guidance or training, and no understanding of what each department is doing. State is in the building so often that resident care is a second thought to trying to hide the days problems. The residents are pretty much altogether the only positive, but it weighs on you to watch how they are treated. They don't order medication on time, supplies are always low or depleted, and they just claim staff and residents steal the supplies. Even basic things like soap! Wouldn't recommend even for experience unless you can get them to agree to the pay you want. 

State Surveyors are always in the building,management is not supportive at all ,never any supplies to perform our duties,the food that is served to the residents is horrible,they hire you and promote a wellness bonus but the Administrator does everything in her power to make sure you don't recieve  it,have not had a raise in over 5 years,homeless people come off the street at night and take showers our cars have been broken into and Management does nothing no security not a safe place to work.

I am currently employed and we do not use wipes often there is not enough supplies. I have seen patients get changed with a pillowcase and sheet. During the interview we were told there isn’t covid patients but in reality there was and they were not properly isolated . Nurses would use the alcohol wipes from the covid room. I would not have accepted the offer if i knew these things. Working here will jeopardize your health and license . 
The best part is the patients they are grateful and appreciative to be genuinely cared for

They started offering really good hourly bonuses for good attendance and working with direct care staff. So on average we make like $18-$19 hourly now. The other reviews are right, the job can be hectic but it's the usual workload for a medical facility and caring for people. If you don't want to work and help people than sure, maybe this isn't the right place for you.  The team members are great, really helpful and you learn a lot especially being more hands on with direct care, prescriptions, and medications. Company is growing so there's growth opportunities if you want to move up in your career

My experience is the moral is low and they don't even know most of the employees on the floor. Extreme gossip and racial tension unfortunately. Very poor communication and lack of acknowlegement. No cretia on type of residents they permit. They do offer a shower team. Treating unfairly and not valued on what a individual has to offer. The administration had this grand ego and they are favored among the staff. I will say you can offer better care with shower team. Nursing staff is lazy when it comes to patient care I've never seen a nurse give any.

I love my team mates and our work days are busy but I'm learning so much as a new CNA. Also we get great hourly bonuses for good attendance or working directly with patients. There's also a evening/noc and weekend pay increase so you get paid more to work those shifts. Overall you should know there's going to a heavy workload, but pay is good and opportunities for growth are great. 

working there with my team was good. Everyone helped each other except the occasional few that felt like they didn't have to. Management was poor. No evaluation or raises were given. Management of course always had favorites. And of course if you are disliked by management regardless if you do your work proficiently they will go out of their way to get you in trouble. Mostly idiotic reasons.
