Typical day starts at 7:30a until about 5:00pm with an hour lunch. Not a bad schedule to have. I learned new operating systems and furthered my knowledge in that area, but outside of that I knew all of the other systems already. Management is new at the location level, only been there 15 days, tried to automate everything, wants to eliminate “extra steps”. Sounds a bit lazy to me to want to make shortcuts for everything. Workplace culture is fine with some people, the place employs “second chance” people . A portion of the staff are getting reintroduced to work life after have been in prison for years. Some of them are very nice individuals that just got messed up in bad situations and they are hard working individuals trying to turn their life around and leave trouble behind. The hardest part of the job is dealing with the lack of training, overbearing management from the regional level and the high expectations that come from them even when they know you weren’t trained properly they expect perfection. They want maximum work for minimal pay. They overload you with tasks and then expect you to get it all done at their time frame. They show favoring to some and no grace to others. One mistake and they fire you. They want office staff to remain as professional as possible, but the field workers can treat the office staff rudely and disrespectfully and nothing happens. Some of the workers feel very entitled, some of them are unwilling to learn things for themselves or be held accountable when they mess up. The most enjoyable part of the job was using the operating systems and doing the actual tasks. Never mind the other people in the building, doing the actual work was most satisfying for me. 

● Work-life balance
Company is draining and upper management when it comes to actually managing employees on behavior will not have your back and will terminate you rather then dealing with the issues at hand.

● Pay & benefits
Benefits are not that great they will start you out at low pay and tell you how great the benefits are and that they are at the rate of cost of living in wa.

● Job security and advancement
There is no job security i watched this company and contributed time for the growth. Right now im these times unfortunately roadsafe especially H.R department is Scared of anything an employee brings up that they think is racial they will terminate you right away instead of dealing with it.

● Management
There scared of there employees and let them talk any kind of way to them told by H.R and upper management if there's any issues ignore dont say anything there Branch manager is a joke has very little traffic control experience and will up the hours on employees so they can take tcs course not even qualified for playing and simple management is a joke.

● Overall
When I started I was a flagger worked hard watched people come and go. Got promoted to superintendent/project manager within 6 months started with 2 trucks when I left 25+ trucks with 30 employees and growth on customers i had no wrightup's no wrong doings in the 2 years i was there got let go because this company there H.R department and Branch manger don't know how to deal with employees and H.R gets scared if employees threaten its a racial issue they will terminate both parties instead of looking at paperwork on both individuals. I was a great employee no wrong doing was fired over a troubled employee that i let upper management know about and thet were scared to deal with because he/she was a person of color i was fired 2 days later no reason why. Playing and simple this company is a joke stay away much better options and professionals out there.

My review will say this: I got hired at roadsafe in Houston Texas and not even 3 weeks later was laid off due to "downsizing" That's just for starters, I was paid well but what is the point of getting paid well when you don't get ours? This company is ran by mostly family who give the other family members the best work and vehicles to drive. The rest of the jobs are rationed out however,  there is favoritism at this company in this location anyway. I was always placed with a Mexican crew and they always spoke Spanish, I did not know Spanish so I did not really know what was going on and they would always leave me. The equipment here is severely outdated, and maintenance is very slow to fix any issues. It's the summer time in Houston Texas year around so I hope you have ac in the truck provided.  As much construction there is going on in Houston Texas you would think there would be overtime galore but these people penny-pinch and watch you time like their paying you out of their own pocket. The place is also very unorganized and very dusty in the warehouse so if you decide to work here I just want you to be up on everything the good and the bad, but there is so little good here. And if you're used to a fixed schedule you can forget it because these people will change your schedule at the drop of a hat you may be schedule to come into work Monday at 7 only to get a call on Saturday saying they changed your time to 11 that night.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Benefits are great and the pay grade is about average. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The only thing I will said is,  success depends on the individual and how much you are willing to invest in.  The majority of workers don't show interest on it, there training is average and mostly if you are trained it will be by remote learning.  After that you are on your on. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Is not what they say on the website.  They are eager to get you in,  and when reality sets in there is  no reason to stay with them.  In the long run  out of 10 people who get hired, maybe 1 will remain and most time none will stay. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Is hard to say , there is the fact that the job requires long hours.  Is the nature of the kind of work they are currently doing. The unfortunately true is new people always will be taken away from home and once you start your day is no telling when you will be done.  Personal plans are hard to setup, due to the fact that they control your time. Including weekends.

The company seemed fine for the most part. Orientation was very thorough and I learned everything I'd need to do my job correctly. Downside is pay is low,  and management seems to care more about the contracts they get over the employees doing them. Management needs correcting; don't value your issues or the fact that things out of our control happen outside of work. Very short with you over the phone or quick to start yelling because they're already assuming what you're about to say since it's a revolving door of a company. Getting moved from a flagger to a primary driving the company truck, conversing with the foreman, doing all the daily audits and paperwork gives no pay increase, so why bother moving up? And don't bother asking management, because they will force you to do all these extra office training courses to "maybe" get an extra dollar,  whooh. Knew I was better off at a different company, management got upset that I wanted to better myself, at least it was a paycheck. 

To date; the most proffessional Job to get you trained and ready to be a driver as they promised. However; they promise you 50 hrs weekly plus overtime.., but you never get over time since they match the hours so that you can only work 50 hrs a week and no more… sometimes you get 1 or 2 hours of overtime but they will have you work 12 hours one day, 6 the next day, 7 the next, who knows… but don’t expect the promised over time they give you…. Also no common sense of the well being of their drivers… they dont care if you are under 3 hours of sleep, they will schedule you for 12+ hrs the next day… is like they wan’t an accident to happen and roadsafe got on them for that last year since they had the similar experience with previous drivers.. but they haven’t learned a thing. Respect to all the leads, all very proffessional although there are some trainers that want problems to happen for no reason.

In my few short years at RoadSafe I have found the structure of the company very helpful in supporting my professional as well as my personal growth. With a top tier safety culture its apparent that every team member, from local to corporate, is focused on each other's  safety & well being. The industry itself is challenging, cut-throat, and unpredictable. It can feel quite chaotic at times trying to meet the demands of our customers. Working here does require a very high amount of commitment to your team and your customers. You very much get out what you put into it. Every person has voice, and the management does very well to try and accommodate the needs of every team member. I am exceptionally grateful for the opportunity I've found here at RoadSafe and hope others may take advantage of that opportunity as well. 

Was hired in August 2023 for this big contract on the turnpike for it to start the end of October 2023 to beginning of November 2023  there were 15 other people hired under the same pretense to find out four months later that the contract was lost and now they didn't have enough work for everyone so they started laying people off even after hiring three more people two weeks before laying people off those three employees are still working and the ones they hired in August all have been laid off so my advice would be don't trust them they showed favoritism to these new employees and shafted the ones hired months before they did nothing to keep contracts going when they knew problems were happening on the jobs and didn't correct the problems so now 15 to 18 people three weeks before Christmas have to find jobs this shows that  this company doesn't care about their employees when the company in other areas are hiring 

Safety isn’t a priority by any means , work with what you have is a decent phrase here. I wanted to retire at this company but unfortunately an accident occurred that really only happened because a ladder that was supposed to be trashed was sent out and I was inured. 
Management pretty much shut me out after that , my pay was cut when returning typical games with a situation such as my own. A few good guys in the field that can be trusted to have your back out there. It’s a dangerous job and requires focus a brain and can do attitude.

There’s a question on here do I approve of the ceo , hmm never even bothered to come to that branch all the years I was there and it’s the ONLY one that does highway construction so I think that says it all and the fact Christmas bonuses are a 25 dollar target card. People here are a number that’s it ! 

•	Responsible to make daily calls and emails to clients who had past due accounts and ensure the company is paid in a timely manner
•	Scanning invoices into emails at the clients request as well as any further information needed
•	Responsible to take care of payment and process payment
•	Software needed to take care of daily tasks was Navision, viewpoint, Microsoft office, Microsoft excel 
•	Responsible to take over reception duties when lunch break started and an hour at the end of the day which included switchboard calls, receiving and sending out fax, answering any questions that customers who called had and direct them to the appropriate person
•	Responsible for any requests that was asked as far as faxing, emailing, calls, etc. as a personal assistant to everyone in the building.
