Decent first stepping stone, but no long term possibilities! Ridiculously high expectations, extremely low salary. They take advantage of inexperienced people looking to change careers or those in desperate need of employment. They lie in regards to pay increases and look for ways to worm out of giving promised increases with technicalities. Benefits were good until benefit structure changed and the benefits were no longer benefits, but an added expense. Extremely high turn-over rate. Owners are pompous and approachable. They have no idea how bad things are, and is are too naive and close-minded to stop the bleeding. They have a youngin with a complex managing the project managers. A kid whose background is hospitality and probably ahould have stayed there. Business doesn't pay for gas, but expects you to quickly pile on a ton of miles to your own car running their jobsites.  They act like they're doing you a favor with small vehicle allowance that doesn't even cover the gas you spend weekly let alone the added insurance coverage they force you to get. Suffer through the nonsense, get your experience if you need it, but get out ASAP!

Rockwell has created a system where people with little to no experience in the construction industry can find a good job with shockingly great benefits and salary while getting great on the job training. The project manager position has a steep learning curve depending on the job site, but training can last as long as it takes to get up to speed with everything this job entails, ensuring you have the skills necessary to run a rob site instead of getting thrown in the fire lost. The owners and upper management make it incredibly clear that mental/physical health come first for the employees, and have shown time and time again how much appreciation they have for everyone here, from annual paid trips, to team bonding events and everything in between. On the job, it will test you mentally, and it does get hard, you will work long days from time to time, but the amount of support at your fingertips when you need it is outstanding. 

Rockwell is a great opportunity for advancement for people looking to get into construction and management. The experience you receive is a great foundation to excel in the industry. There is strong focus on quality and time management. I would say anyone willing to invest their time and energy will achieve a salary that is very high based on our current economy in comparison to other fields and industries. It’s not often you find a company that offers people the ability to escape their current employment industry and net worth and advance to a much higher level. This is a management job that does involve both management and some labor to help complete tasks. 

Like myself, many project managers here had previous management experience, but not in the construction industry. It is a great place to get your foot in the door of the industry, but it’s also the type of company you can make a career out of since there are opportunities to advance. They allow you to learn at your own pace, and give realistic goals along the way. The Area Managers were prior Project managers, so they are very in touch with the reality of what happens in the field and how to address them. They, and other coworkers are great at being available to answer questions and concerns. 

Rockwell is growing at a fast pace, my and because of that,the onboarding experience has been successfully revamped. 

- expectations of you are made very apparent.You’ll need full hands on experience to get yourself acclimated to the environment you will be in. 

-it is made pretty clear that you are an asset and your growth is beneficial to both parties. 

- you will need basic skill set of construction and have scheduling background in order to complete your daily tasks. 

Rockwell is a great foundation that has been around long enough to understand the needs of there employees. They are always giving a helping hand and creating new ways to improve.

I am someone that needs a constant path for growth and progression. With this company you are in full control of how fast you want to grow and climb the ladder. It is very motivating to put in the extra work and immediately see the benefit. The stress of the industry is difficult to deal with at times but I always got the support I needed from the company. I came in with very little construction knowledge and am so grateful I was given this opportunity. 

Last thing! The owners are incredible people, two of the most generous, honest, innovative people that keep the company a step ahead of its competition. Cant wait to attend the company ski trip in Colorado next month!

Rockwell's office atmosphere makes coming to work everyday something I look forward to. We have a relaxed, friendly, team atmosphere that works like a well oiled machine. Striving to provide the best customer service to both our office & field staff, as well as our external customers & suppliers creates a positive work environment. Management is always open to and supports new ideas, processes and concerns. Workload fluctuates and in certain seasons can be heavy, but the team always pulls together where help is needed. I highly recommend Rockwell as a great place to work.

Rockwell has been a great company to work for. Coming in, I had no construction experience and have been given every opportunity to succeed and to learn the knowledge necessary to be successful in the field. I have been very satisfied with the encouragement and ability to learn at my own pace as I progress which made the transition from restaurant to construction work very easy. This is a growing company with lots of room to grow from within. Overall, I have no complaints and hope to remain with the company for the foreseeable future. 

Great company culture, the owners are very personable,  management is very personable, always looking for ways to improve the work environment and provide their employees with the tools to succeed. I’d say it has only gotten better since I been there, in spite of the challenges of industry itself the company has thrived on providing job security and keeping growing steadily. 

Working at Rockwell means always having the hard work and effort you put into the job be recognized and appreciated. Since I started working here I've learned so much and continue to do so. They're consistently offering incentives to keep you motivated and show you how valuable you are to them. This was such a great way for me to start an actual career that I enjoy, instead of just another job to pay the bills. My colleagues and supervisors show me the same respect that I show them, which is hard to find! I highly recommended a career with Rockwell.
