I have been fortunate enough to be a part of this amazing company for the past few years, and I can confidently say that it has one of the most exceptional cultures and work relationships I have ever experienced. From the moment I joined, I felt a sense of belonging and camaraderie that is truly rare to find in a workplace.

The PODS all sorta work independently, so processes and expectations may differ, but we just learn to operate as our own POD. However, the cross-pod relationships and collaborations are wonderful. All doctors have been a pleasure to work for. 

Another aspect that sets this company apart is the emphasis on work-life balance. The organization recognizes the importance of allowing employees to have a fulfilling personal life outside of work. Flexible work arrangements, some hybrid work options, and supportive policies enable us to achieve a healthy work-life integration. This balance positively impacts our overall well-being and contributes to our productivity and job satisfaction.

What is the best part of working at the company?
My amazing co-workers at the CBO. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They are very understaffed and don't like to hire more people. The more understaffed they are the more work they pile on you and have unrealistic expectations with you getting it done. The CBO has a huge turn over and they can't keep employees there. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The manager plays favorites and doesn't treat everyone fairly. Toxic environment. You are also not allowed to use your PTO and they threaten you with taking your PTO away. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Having more work than is possible to get done on top of answering phones which takes up a lot of your time on top of everything else you need to get done. Every Friday you have to write them a summary of why are you behind but they say all of your reasons shouldn't matter and they don't change anything.

"Apprentice" is defined by a person developing skills on the job. The time frame for developing these skills was completely unrealistic. Management has a very haphazard way of communication. Felt very stressed during my training and not given much positive reinforcement. My trainer(s) were very good, but needed more time to get the job expectations under control. A 90% accuracy and 95% production as an apprentice working for only a couple of weeks training was unrealistic with no former experience. This is NOT a position for an apprentice, or at least one wanting to succeed.

Typical day at work is 8 a.m to 5 p.m. During that time I answer the phone, help doctors and other providers with patient care, help patients with their insurance prior authorizations and scheduling of different procedures. 

This environment is fantastic to work in, there are great opportunities to learn from each provider and co-workers.

The most enjoyable part of this job is to take care of each patient as if they are your family. Being able to watch the progression of each patient from dealing with chronic issues to helping manage those issues and being able to live a normal life.

If you like to work in a place where you get punished for using PTO and micromanaged, then this is the place for you. This used to be a great place to work but now it boasts a toxic environment where everyone is miserable and overworked. They can’t keep the CBO staffed and their solution is to have everyone work overtime and take on additional tasks. They force good people out or scare them into leaving. Everyone is on edge wondering if today is the day they will be next on the chopping block.

My day would consist of verification of upcoming appointments for patients and calling them with a benefits quote.  I would then check hospital appointments for whether pre-authorizations are needed and attain them for the physician.

I would post patient and insurance payments in the afternoon while answering patient and insurance calls to deal with any issues that might arise.  I was available for questions from co-workers and deal with any projects set upon me by management.

Working part-time and then full-time was a dream opportunity for me.  It was unfortunate that what I was told my job would be daily and hourly wage did not happen.  The job duties keep changing and when I brought it up to supervisor and manager, I was told basically, oh well, you should be lucky to even have a job.  It is sad this happened because I believe in the service for patients and it does save lives.

Over the past few years the CBO office has drastically gone down hill. Leadership is lacking, no equality and you can not trust no one. Use to be a great company to work for, they truly cared about employee's. Now it is all about the bottom dollar. I would not recommend this company to any job seeker. VERY high turnover and their Dr's have no idea what going on in the CBO office.

CEO does not listen to common sense.and will protect the people that lie to him.  Everyone walks all over the CEO and takes advantage of him and he doesn't see it.  CEO IS NOT THE RIGHT POSITION FOR HIM

I was disappointed at the toxic environment. They leave their employees unchecked to run amok and harass others especially if one person doesn't like you. It's high school drama really. It sucks because I did like working for the company and the management wasn't bad expect for the harassment going unchecked.
