My job is fast paced, requires attention to detail, excellent customer service and good time management skills. I talk to many different people throughout the day while assisting in the claims process. Excellent customer service is key in this role, in addition to being able to work with attorneys and medical providers. I have learned and continue to learn all aspects of the claims process by continued training opportunities and continued assistance with peers and management. 
The hardest part of the job is not being able to make everyone happy, but if you provide excellent customer service, the customer can see through and understand the hard conversations. 
The best part of my job is the work life balance, flexibility and continued support I receive from my manager on a daily basis. He trust us to make the best decisions and give guidance and support when needed. 
Great Company, great people and a great place to work.

While every workplace offers a unique experience, I would advise caution when considering employment at Safety Insurance. Based on my observations and feedback from current and former employees, several concerns have been consistently raised:
• Management and Leadership: There appears to be a lack of transparency and support from upper management, which can hinder professional growth and morale.
• Work-Life Balance: Many have reported unrealistic workloads and expectations, leading to burnout and dissatisfaction.
• Career Development: Opportunities for advancement and skill development seem limited, which may not align with long-term career goals.
• Company Culture: The organizational culture has been described as rigid and resistant to change, which can be challenging for those who value innovation and collaboration.
While some individuals may find the environment suitable for their needs, I recommend thoroughly researching the company and speaking with current employees before making a decision.



First job after graduating from college. A typical day was endorsing auto policies per the insured/customer request, reviewing policy renewal and claims activity and taking appropriate action within binding authority, developing and maintaining positive broker relationships as well as ensuring adherence to all department processes and complying with all regulatory requirements.I learned what it was like to work in an environment among professionals who taught me how to be a professional. Great experience along my working journey.

A typical day at safety for me: investigating claims, setting up auto claims, fighting fraud, listening to the customers and resolving issues and tutoring the new hires. I learned how to work independently working as a telecommuter for 13 years taught me how to take control and make decisions on my own. The hottest part of the job was trying to keep up with the daily test when the company was understaffed. I enjoyed resolving problems and taking care of the needs for the customers. 

Overwhelming workload, micromanaging to an extreme, management cares more about the phone queues than the employees. They say that they know working claims is tough, but they don’t care the toll it has on employees.  During winter times there is a skeleton crew working because vacations aren’t monitored, but as employees fall behind with work management tries to monitor and cap overtime, working at safety took a toll on me mentally and I hope no one else has to go through this. 

A typical day at work alway is focusing on work flow, and getting par level done for that day.  I have learned to be more organized and accurate giving my best.   The Management team was an excellent team to work for.  I enjoyed working with my co-workers, we work well together to get the job done.  There was nothing that was hard about my job. At the end of my work day when my assignment was completed it brought me much enjoyment in solving issues with the banks.

Safety was once a great place to work for until the owner passed away, now it's run by a greedy management bent on the bottom line, most of the employees feel they are to good for the work, shifting the burden to those less experienced, and don't expect any help especially from HR they are beyond useless ADP would do a much better job of handling their responsibilities HR is only good for management 

Safety Insurance is a great place to learn in insurance industry. Management cares about you and your career...treated and an individual first. Great place to develop your career.


Very laid back place to work with awesome opportunities to advance your career. Management really wants to help people advance and they always promote from within. There is a good work/life balance and most managers are flexible with your schedule or allow you to work from home. Also, you can't beat the downtown Boston location.

-taking witness statement
-using Massachusetts guidelines assess liability and at fault party
-negotiating and settling damage claims
-helping customer with filling out paperwork in order to be compensated for damage vehicle.
