Work load was great, Christmas Bonus is Great, some managers seem to be understanding of your personal life, but not sure if that's genuine. Micromanaging to the full extent, like I have never seen. It felt like I was in Middle School or High School all over again. Very intimidating managers at times. spoken down to like if your in the principas office, no matter how nice you are. Management automatically jumps to conclusions, because they think they caught you doing something wrong and is already ready to give out a punishment before even getting all sides of the story first, especially your side first. I think they have some kind of infatuation with writing people up, even if you go over your break by one whole minute, or speak up for yourself in a respectful manner, just simply stating, wait it didn't happen like that, and if you do that, you're being argumentative. like everyone else, including those who should lead by example, oh and you know how there are always 2 sides to every story?? Their side is the only one that's true and that matters. I have never had my integrity questioned so much in my entire life. And the way some of the managers speak to you is just insane, but expect you as a grown adult, not to respond to their disrespect. RETALIATION AT ITS FINEST. Oh and if your going through one of the hard and scariest moments of your life, outside of work, where you are barely hanging on, do not expect them to be understanding what so ever. They had no idea what I was going through and all they did was make it worse, let me go when they new I was at one of the most scariest unexpected financial issues of my life, with 3 children at home and they new this, and instead of talking like grown adults or asking me what happened, they had my final check ready to go, right then and there, no room to even reconsider at all, and then on top of them knowing the full extent of my financial crisis and letting me go during that time, they also fought my ony unemployment which makes zero sense. I am beyond disgusted with this heartless organization and anyone who works for them, oh but my work performance wasn't the concern lol lol lol. They didn't work with me out of the goodness of their hearts, when I had to miss time, they had too, because it was FMLA... 

Typical work days consisted of: Constant  high call volumes, giving staff little time to make our hundreds of required outgoing calls which is also has a 1 call per week protocol. Always being behind on job duties (causing liabilities) due to the lack of appropriate staffing. The work load vs employee member ratio was very unrealistic. Having more knowledge of your job than your own boss but still get questioned, micromanaged and written up over unjustifiable reasons. Refusing to sign off on a write up essentially gets you fired so you don’t have any choices in the matter. 
I did learn a lot of things regarding radiology  and obtained a ridiculous amount of knowledge by learning under technologist, radiologists and having longevity within my department. The best parts of working at the Salem Clinic was the patients, most of them at least. They could make all the difference in the world to you, unknowingly. And you go above and beyond to do the same for them!  The worst parts however end up eventually crushing your spirit and who you are. At the end of the day your a programed robot, continuously questioned over correct/justifiable actions. Only praised & appreciated if it saved the boss from either looking bad or staff volunteered to help under extreme/random/unusual circumstances.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The most valuable part of working at Salem Clinic is your coworkers. Management practices can create division, so it’s important to remain professional and support one another.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The physicians are kind and supportive. In contrast, management has increased oversight and monitoring of staff. This change has been attributed to budget constraints; however, new equipment has been purchased across multiple departments during the same period. There has also been an increase in disciplinary write-ups for minor infractions.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
At Salem Clinic, staff are expected to stay on task and keep busy throughout the day. Many employees have worked together for years and have built strong friendships. Most positions aren’t allowed to play music, and dressing up for holidays like Halloween isn’t permitted, which can be disappointing for some. There are occasional picnics during work hours, and staff are encouraged to participate, though it can be difficult to find time to eat and join in during a regular lunch break.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical workday at Salem Clinic begins with clocking in and being prepared to manage patient needs efficiently. During slower periods, staff focus on essential tasks such as scheduling appointments and handling patient call-backs to ensure smooth operations.

I enjoyed my time at Salem Clinic, in the beginning. Then I realized that there are people that love to tattle and get you dragged in to talk to management. I am used to my peers helping if they see I am struggling and doing something wrong; not here, they just go and tattle on you. There is a lot to learn here and you are told that it will take a good year to get everything down. Then they turn around and tell you that you will not get your first raise because you are not as far along as they hoped you would be. Yet you get conflicting messages from the people training you and the management, so it is really hard to know what you are doing right and wrong. Most of my immediate coworkers were amazing, and the patients were lovely. But everything else is so toxic. It's like being in junior high! First my lead was so excited that I was joining the group, and once I got there she hardly said a word to me. And if you have a relative that is high up in management, you are golden and can do whatever you want. When I handed the wrong paperwork to a patient, I was talked to , which I expected, and I knew I just had to slow down a little and make sure I was not compromising patient confidentiality. When a coworker whose mom is high up in management did the same thing, nothing happened to him, and he had already been working there for years so should have known better. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for employment.

There is always work to be done, and if the day is slow, a motivated person can still find work to do.
I learned to keep my opinions and my personality to myself as it was not accepted in the culture of the management there.  Basically, there would be no discussion about a different way to approach a matter.  They were not flexible about new idea's.
When I first interviewed for Salem Clinic, I asked them what their turn-over rate was.  They said, "we have people here that just started, and people that have been here for 30+ years."  I have now learned that they have a very high turn-over rate, and now I have a better understanding as to why, as it highly depends on the department that you work in.  The Patient Services department that I worked in is the largest department, has the highest turn-over rate, and that doesn't surprise me at all.
The most difficult part of my position was keeping quiet when a patient would share a difficult and personal situation with me, and it was protocol to not comment due to a possible HIPAA violation occurring.
The most enjoyable part of my job was knowing that I made a difference when I was able to successfully manage a schedule for a patient, or get the outcome a patient was looking for.  That was very rewarding.

Every day you don’t know if you will get called into the managers office. It’s like a sorority. They do not appreciate hard work and will find a minuscule thing to use against you. In their culture they expect you to tell falsehoods to get each other into trouble. 

Teamleads and nursing leads will make up lies even about other coworkers and claim they are true. Management will only believe them. You cannot speak of anything but they do interviews daily with other workers to get their false collaborations.

They say to come to them for anything when in reality they want to use that against you. 

No matter how hard you work that is not important to them. They do not care of the relationships with patients but rather the bottom dollar. Their compassion is that of snake venom no matter what. 

So many employees have experienced this throughout the years once they disfavor you. They smile while the scheme and connive which is their biggest specialty.

You are not allowed to speak to patients or coworkers except work related things. They do not want any good working relationships.

Most team leaders are very encouraging. The job is fast paced with a lot of expectations. Unfortunately you don't get a raise for training new staff and the annual reviews are time-consuming. Being here for several years with no errors, I still got the same increase in pay as most everyone else. You only get a few cents increase in pay every year regardless if your job performance was exceptional. I found out after leaving that I was being paid just 15 cents an hour more than the new person I trained even though I was with the company almost 9 years and had experience in multiple positions. It was very disheartening. Also, their policy is strict with references so if you decide to leave, your supervisor and colleagues can not be put down as a reference. HR can only confirm your employment and how long you worked there. 

I worked with Salem clinic for many years, if you are hired under a good/educated lead it is great. After Covid they began to treat staff like they are all replaceable but in reality they are so short staffed and do not have the employees to treat people so badly. Literally so short staffed! While the benefits are great they have no place for a medical assistant to advance and have this idea that a brand new LPN is more valuable then a seasoned MA. Raises are so low, people say to leave the clinic and come back to get a better raise. Very toxic. If you are not liked by the team you are hazed and it’s ok with leads and admin. Don’t try to bring it up because you will get it worse. 
Very cliquey and employees are just mad with how things are going and it gives the office bad vibes. 
Worse place I’ve ever worked!

Busy answering phones, schedules appointments for different modalities, MRI/CT’s, Mammograms, Ultrasounds, etc throughout the day. Work environment is full of drama, supervisors play favorites. Management: they don’t want to deal with conflict and confrontation so things just get swept under the rug majority of the time. 
When a new position gets posted they end up giving it to someone who has been there longer than you (seniority) so interviewing is a waste of time but it gets documented to HR. 
Enjoyable part of the is getting those really kind, sincere patients on the phone that truly care and it’s almost like you wish you can just give them a hug! 

You will never work at a location filled with more positive people. Everyone has a smile and is pleasant to be around. The company throws all sorts of company appreciation parties and picnics as well as a HUGE Christmas party that is PAID. Your team will be like a happy family. There isn't much room for advancement, but you do get yearly raises and on rare occasions there will be a team lead position that you can apply for. If you get a new degree you may work up the ladder.

Salem Clinic has really high standards for customer service and patient satisfaction. The patients are generally cheerful and enjoy coming in to the office.
