I have been with Sapphire for 2 1/2 years, and I can honestly say this has been one of the best professional experiences of my career. From the supportive leadership team to the collaborative culture, it’s clear that Sapphire values its employees and invests in their success.

One of the standout qualities of this company is the commitment to work-life balance. Management is understanding of personal needs, making it easy to maintain a healthy balance between professional and personal life.

The opportunities for growth and development are also fantastic. The company encourages continuous learning through training, development programs, and opportunities to take on new challenges. I’ve personally benefited from these opportunities, and it’s been incredibly rewarding to see my skills develop over time.

The team culture is second to none. Everyone is friendly, respectful, and always willing to help. There’s a real sense of camaraderie, which makes coming to work every day enjoyable. I feel valued and supported, and that motivates me to give my best.

Overall, I’m proud to be a part of Sapphire Health Services. The positive work environment, excellent leadership, and focus on employee well-being make it an amazing place to grow professionally and personally. I’m excited to continue my journey here and look forward to what the future holds.

I absolutely love working here. I have gained so much experience and the residents are fantastic people to be around. There is even a facility dog that is very friendly. 

A typical day for me is taking the resident’s orders and bringing them their food and drinks. At the end of the meal I clean up the dining room and reset it for the next meal. 

The management here is very good and supportive. The staff is very friendly and very kind. If you have a question about PTO or something they will always try to answer it. The manager for my position right now is really helpful and very supportive. Basically everyone is very helpful.  

There really isn’t anything hard about the job. The most exciting part about the job is that I get to interact with the residents and see them everyday when I take their orders. 

Overall I would highly recommend working here if you love taking care of others in Assisted Living facilities. This is also a very good first place to work if you are not sure what to do. You will gain a lot from working at this facility. 

This facility was opened and accepted residents before they had the stock they needed such as shower chairs, walkers, beds, wheelchairs, diapers, wipes, chucks both cloth and plastic, food, and many other items. The management team is having a difficult time retaining employees due to their lack of confidentiality for employees who come to them with a concern. I went to one of the managers to inform them of a co workers work and they told the employee that i had made the complaint which in turn led to my co worker calling me to confront about what was said.. They never give direct training, it is always changing therefore caregivers are being told to perform a task one way by one co worker and a different way by the next co worker. Management continues to ignore their staff concerns. Management allowed employees to work under dangerous circumstances without coming in to handle themselves. DO NOT WORK HERE IF YOU WANT A LASTING JOB

Another little shabby retirement facility that doesn't get much attention from its parent company. A lot of structural problems with the facility itself (plumbing, heating & ac) and pest control make it appear neglected. Labor budget seems far too low for size of facility so it always appears understaffed. 

Management has poor communication skills, so solutions to chronic issues are not properly implemented and go unresolved. They also do not believe in getting their own hands dirty, so if there's a call-in and they cannot find someone to fill that shift, they will just let the rest of the team figure out how to work understaffed for that day. This happened on average almost weekly.

Workplace culture just boils down to people trying to get their own work done and go home. Low morale.

On the other hand, the pay is alright and the schedule is consistent. Almost never have to do overtime so if you value good work/life balance, this has that going for it.

Sapphire, the company itself, I have no problem with. My peers were good, supportive, and looking for each other's success. When I get up in the morning, and I do not dread going to work, I know it's going well. Unfortunately, it changed. The top two leadership teams of the facility talked but did not walk. As leaders:
* Respect your subordinates. Do not talk to them like they're children.
* Be consistent with your message. Don't give praise and then question their methods within one hour apart from each other. 
* Don't expect greatness from new staff when the training plan falls apart and there is no follow-through. 
*Deliver your message carefully, especially to new staff and graduates, by stating proudly that there will be micro-managing. Do your research, the majority of the time, Mirco-managing is not a very successful method. 
Many will agree that these four listed will cause any employee to leave. That is why I could not work here if this is their established culture.

I'm a LPN that worked at this facility through a variety of management staff turnover. I've weathered 3 different directors of nursing. 2 administrators and the company changes hands completely.  After getting hurt on the job I applied for Workman's Comp and quickly got put on Admin Leave (a trumped up situation), then about a month later I was wrongfully terminated. FYI, if your in a Workman's Comp claim it is 100% again labor laws to get fired! If this happens get a Lawyer ASAP.
This company does not have a culture of inclusiveness nor do they value their employees and see their residents at "the paycheck". They get sub-standard care and always left in larch for care. When Nurses advocate for the residents they always get push back from management and it is a terrible culture at this facility. The food sucks and the housecleaning disgusting. Very few of the nurses can listened to unless they are brown nosier. 
I wish the State would shut this place down, it's that bad....

Memory Care is challenging and employees need to know this before applying to work at Bridgecreek.  We are caring for loved ones with memory difficulties that create behavioral issues.  Work is constant, but in a relaxed atmosphere with time to share and love this specialty group of people.  Staff are supportive, challenges arise but as a team we help, support and keep residents safe.  Due to the challenging nature of this type of health care, it can be very rewarding at the end of the day, because you really made a difference in someones life who needed your support.  Its a great feeling!

Overall the work place culture is great.  There are a lot of people that work here that care for the residents and other staff members. As in every long term care setting there are challenges, however, Sapphire has tried to do a great job of supporting the staff with resources to overcome those challenges.  There are a multitude of resources that other long term care companies don't provide staff.  They want their care providers to professionally grow and offer memberships to professional organizations such as the American Association of Post-Acute Care Nursing. None of my other employers have done that.  They also have unique benefits such as your birthday being a paid holiday. Some times mistakes are made, but they are solution based and don't finger point blame.  

I would clock in around 4- 4:30pm depending on the shift. Before the dinning room was open the servers would set the tables, lie out silverware and pour glasses of ice water. We would open the dinning area at 5pm and assist the tenants to their chairs and would move their walkers/wheelchairs. We would then tell the tenants what the main meal of the day was while taking their orders for drinks and appetizers. We would give the order to the cook and proceed in getting the drinks the people wanted. After serving dinner, we would list the various kinds of desserts ranging from pudding to ice cream. After the tenants left the dinner area the servers would clear the tables and one of us would wash the dishes while the other two would continue cleaning the dinning areas. The napkins and dirty table clothes were washed in the laundry area where we also pressed and folded them.

When I first got hired I was excited about the job but the director has a very bias way of doing things and honestly you’ll learn a lot about the place . But a big red flag is the Executive Director actually is at fault for a resident passing here by giving them the wrong meds. Employees here are hit and miss , some of them actually like doing their jobs for the right reason but others are lazy and maybe changed people once a day. But ultimately what drove me away from the building is that it is not a positive team place to work and to much drama in the work place. On a serious note you will be asked to pick up shifts a lot and people will no call no show and still have a job just wasn’t the place for me and I don’t think it will be for you.
