My team and 5he support I recieved from my direct leaders on the corporate team.

Meeting the changing needs of the senior living industry but these changes opened up opportunities to serve my teams better and my residents and families as well.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A close and short corporate ladder that made me feel seen and heard. The tenure of the community leadership .

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Changed depending on the community and corporate needs.

I had worked for this company once before and I loved how positive and management, I wanted to return back to this company at some point after raising kids. When I went back to work, I went back to this company and the atmosphere is still positive and uplifting. Managment is easy-going and accommodating to my family schedule. The entire team is helpful and friendly which makes an enjoyable work environment. Management cares about furthering education and moving up in the company. I am grateful to call this company by workplace.

Residents and families are the best part!

Micromanaging  and unrealistic expectations 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
High stress with minimum employees to do the job.   Large amount overhead but in the trenches workers not enough to do the work.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful, meetings, changing expectations frequently like trying to hit a moving target

Being a part of this family-owned business means your treated like family. The management team is approachable, supportive, and invested in the success of their community directors and staff members.  Top management does not just guide, they teach and inspire. It's rare to find a workplace where you feel valued and heard. and I am thankful to be part of such an amazing team. 

I have been able to grow in my senior living career at SLS, and I firmly believe that growth will continue. We have an extremely supportive administrative and corporate team that see the best in you, even when you don't see it yourself. SLS is a family-oriented company which is often hard to find. I love working for SLS and look forward to the continued growth there will be within this company.

Employees at the community sites and corporate are all very welcoming and friendly. They have been updating some of their practices to keep up with the times and improve company culture. I have found that employees most often say that corporate is very supportive and they like the changes they've been seeing.

Amazing community based teams. Great incentives and chances to advance. Locally owned and operated. Not a turn and burn company. You directors have a lot of say over the communities they operate.  

You can pick your hours and days your availabe. Supervisor is easy to talk to and friendly. He will listen to your ideas for change/ improvements. Individuals need are priority for patients as well as staff.

every day is different, different challenges different opportunities to learn or to make someone's day, love spending time in our Dementia areas, training new care staff, implementing new ideas etc.  

There are too many assisted living places that are organized and competent in Mesa to waste time interviewing or working here. Residents deserve staff that know what they're doing.
