What is the best part of working at the company?
Great people to work with!  Super friendly and you are helping people to get their needs met.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Getting reports done on time can be a challenge.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Pretty laid back but friendly and accountable.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Reports and phone calls in the morning and meeting with clients in the afternoon.  But you can always change that around if you like.  Every job is different.

Senior Services provides a vital service to seniors and the disabled in Kane and Kendall Counties. The management at Senior Services is excellent. They are sympathetic, caring, understanding and well informed. Unfortunately, there are no raises and room for advancement is limited, but not impossible. The salaries are generally sub par.

Management is stuck on the past and few changes are being made for the agency to progress.  Second tier management unable to make decisions making it difficult to see movement into the future.  Services offered to seniors is essential and with improvement in management/leadership many more may receive these much needed services.  Enjoyed staff and clients but did not feel I had the ability to recommend or make changes necessary for future growth.

Typical day is like you're a cog in a machine. 

The caseload amount is above 150. When you share this amount with any other organization, they think you're insane, and lying about how many people you are working with.

But the coworker environment and local offices are great. A supportive team and fun group of people. It was the biggest up side to working here, but you need to be stone cold to seniors work here.

Having little contact with my supervisor and allowed to work independently

Being blind sided by administrators

Depends on which office…each had own unique qualities

Busy and interacting with seniors

Senior Services is a great place to work, the coworkers are always willing to help you and answer questions you might have. I enjoyed working with seniors and helping them live as independent as possible, respecting their decision, as well as making a difference in their lives

Agency is supportive regarding those who have family obligations

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Lack of staff which makes fpr higher caseloads.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Professional, management is approachable.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Phone calls, home visits, data entry.

Definitely not worth the stress. Sneaky people and terrible management. The pay is not worth the amount of paperwork. Inadequate training and help. Most of the time, management doesn't back you up and throws you under the bus. Seriously rethink before you apply. Not worth it. 

Terrible agency!!!! HIGH TURNOVER RATIO. Very bad management that steals hrs wfh and order things on company computers. Lowest pay ever. No advancement. High caseloads all care coordinators are unhappy and stressed! If I could I would leave a .5 star not ever worth one star. 

The work was always meaningful but management was horrible. They don’t care about their employees. They don’t pay equal salaries and your salary was based on how much you sucked up to the executive director. The only positive was the few decent people I worked with.
