What is the best part of working at the company?
I’ve only been at Serengeti Care for a few weeks, but what stands out most is the company culture. The CEO genuinely cares about employees, and that shows in how the company celebrates everything from birthdays and work anniversaries to events like Administrative Professionals Day, etc. These gestures make people feel appreciated and valued.
There’s also strong recognition for both big achievements and small contributions, which creates a very encouraging environment. I felt welcomed from day one, my manager and colleagues are very supportive, and there’s a clear sense of respect and trust across the team. I’ve already had opportunities to use my skills and experience, and overall it feels like a place where I can grow and stay long term.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part is balancing speed and accuracy. There are often urgent situations that need immediate support, but I also have to make sure everything is compliant, handled correctly, and respectful. Working with a large amount of data while keeping everything accurate can be challenging.

I’ve had a really positive experience working here. The work feels meaningful, and there’s a strong sense that what we do truly impacts people’s lives. I appreciate the level of trust and autonomy, there’s no micromanaging, which makes it easier to stay motivated and take ownership of my role. The team is another highlight, my coworkers are supportive, collaborative, and genuinely great to work with. Upper leadership is approachable and easy to work with, which makes a big difference in day to day operations. There is also clear opportunity for growth and promotion for those who want to advance.

The only challenges I’ve experienced are more related to the nature of the role than the company itself. The 24/7 on call structure can be demanding, but that is typical for this field. Compensation is fair overall, though like many places, the cost of living and benefits, especially health insurance, can add up quickly. Overall, it is a great place to work with so much purpose, and a positive team environment.

Making a difference in the community by providing employment opportunities, earning clients’ trust in their care, and building strong relationships with both clients and caregivers are all meaningful parts of my work. I also value the opportunity to expand my knowledge and continue developing my skills as I grow in my role.

I’ve been managing a high volume of tasks with constant changes, which has made it difficult to stay organized and keep up. There have been frequent updates to processes without much notice or time to prepare, along with limited training and guidance, especially with systems like HomeCare Pro. At the same time, more responsibilities continue to be added to my workload without clear direction or prioritization. The instructions can sometimes be unclear or inconsistent, which makes it challenging to work efficiently and maintain accuracy. Overall, this has made it harder to ensure consistency and stay on top of all expectations, and additional support, clearer guidance, and more advance notice of changes would be really helpful.

A typical workday for me at Serengeti Care is very flexible and structured in a way that I set myself, which is something I really appreciate. It allows me to prioritize high-priority tasks and work my way down my list in a way that makes sense and keeps me productive. I feel like I am learning something every day, not only how to be a more empathetic and compassionate leader, but also growing in other areas as well. Management is very collaborative and genuinely listens to ideas, and I feel like my voice and the voices of my peers are heard and valued. The workplace culture is one of my favorite parts, it is inviting, welcoming, warm, and truly feels family-like. If I had to say there is a challenging part of the job, it would be navigating different personalities, but even that comes with growth and learning opportunities. Honestly, I wouldn’t say there is a “hard” part of my job in a negative way. The most enjoyable part for me is the people, the work that I get to do, and the fact that I can work at my own pace. I am very self-motivated, so that structure works really well for me, and the most rewarding part is being able to help others every single day.

As the Staffing Coordinator, no two days are ever the same. A typical day includes coordinating caregiver schedules, assisting clients and employees, answering calls, and solving last-minute staffing challenges. The position has taught me a lot about communication, organization, problem-solving, and staying calm under pressure.

Management is approachable and supportive, and I feel comfortable asking questions or bringing up concerns. The workplace culture is team-oriented, and everyone works toward the same goal of providing quality care to our clients.

The hardest part of the job is handling unexpected call-outs and finding coverage while making sure both clients and caregivers are supported. The most rewarding part is building relationships with caregivers and clients and knowing that the work we do has a positive impact on people’s lives. It’s a busy role, but it’s also a great opportunity to grow professionally and make a difference every day.

A typical day at my office consist of a loving, caring and compassionate environment that I am able to learn whether it be something about the Caregivers or clients to learning how things run within our entire company. I am so blessed to be a part of the Serengeti team and especially the Sandpoint branch. Our clients and Caregivers are like family to me and the CCM. We take pride in representing Serengeti Care. We do have days where it seems like we just can't get ahead but that is not too often. Our Clients and Caregivers always bring such joy to us, and we couldn't be happier assisting them. I find the most enjoyable part of my job as a scheduling coordinator is the interaction I get to be involved between Client and Caregiver. Making a match between the two that everyone is happier is so rewarding.
