I worked at the allentown facility. I started as a line associate and moved to quality. I have seen associates work there way up from the production floor to better paying positions in quality, batch record review, office, and lead/supervisor roles. They do not promote/hire female supervisors very often. The floor lead (female)  that I worked with on first shift in building 4 could have ran the building by herself and done a much better job than the two men they had as supervisors. There is little to no communication between production supervisors and quality. No one is on the same page and production supervisors only come around once a day or if there is a problem. This company focuses on quantity instead if quality. The more finished goods produced the more money this company makes, and they are definitely growing and making money. Job security is good and you are expected to work mandatory overtime every other weekend unless you can find someone to cover your weekend. If you work in production there will always be someone who will cover you because they don't pay much and the only way to make money is to work overtime. If you work in quality you have to come for your scheduled overtime because there aren't as many people who can cover you. When I was in quality we had to start at 3 am 4 times a month instead of our normal 6:45 start time and we worked one weekend a month. When I was in production I worked almost every weekend back when it was voluntary and not mandatory. But after I had my baby I never came on weekends and no one ever said anything to me about it. The line leads are overworked and underpaid. They receive very little training and are held responsible for anything and everything that goes wrong. Line lead is by far the hardest and most complicated position in production. They also know more than the supervisors but are the ones the supervisors blame when something goes wrong. The turnover rate is extremely high and the agencies send over people who don't want to work. A line lead will be lucky to have maybe two or three people out of 20 working in their room that actually care about the job. I have seen line workers get nasty and even threaten violence toward line leads just because a line lead told them to do their jobs and not stand around doing nothing. 

Upon hiring this company was in the middle of huge projects and plans to expand business. In the two years, they accomplished more than these ambitious plans and grew tremendously. These plans not exactly prepared well and staffing was incapable of supporting the daily Monday-Friday operations. Causing minimal people to cover the extra workload leading to a very toxic and demanding work culture with little respect for the employee. Financial compensation for this job is above average and with excessive overtime can be rewarding. The management consists of new and inexperienced leaders and continue to suffer from communication issues. This leads into an unfortunate ineffective method of getting things done the first time. 

There is much improvement to be had at this company but this company is going places. The growth here is outstanding and there is plenty work if you want at a decent wage and good benefits. There is newer technologies arriving here daily for those interested in a field of electronics and automation. If waiting through until this company finally allows its staffing and personnel catch up to these newer thresholds and you are looking for growth then this place is a nice fit


Most of the people working at Sharp Clinical Services are very nice to work with, and there are a few people in Analytical and Research Services who are not the best co-workers, making life difficult for the people who do want to do a good job.  There is a lot of stress created by some, and there does not have to be any at all.  Some of the directors are constantly pushing to get reports and CofAs out the door for billing, not really caring about the overall quality of these reports - just as long as it gets out the door, so we can bill the client.  The timelines and deadlines that are set are unrealistic, even when you try to explain that sometimes science is not that easy or 100% predictable.  The pressure put on people, especially as it approaches the end of every month, is unbelievable.  I would not recommend anyone to work at this company, especially in the Analytical and Research Services department.

This facility has the potential to be good. The logistics inventory department manager in this site is inexperienced in running a receiving warehouse department lacks knowledge of pharmaceutical cGMP regulations, compliance and skills to operate a successful running warehouse. This has completely Cause a dominoes effect thru every department in this fairly new facility, consequently creating backups due to his inexperience, poor judgement and lack of guidance leaving those under him to figure out assignments for themselves subsequently making them out at fault and dishonest to superiors. Many former employees have left and moved on due to the overwhelming stressful environment this rippled effect has caused in this facility. A full-investigation conducted would reveal this and much more.

They fired me for catching Corona at the beginning of the pandemic, as if I KNEW I had it and it was during my probation period where you cannot call off for 3 months because you're brand new. They decided they were going to fire me long before they even told me which was around the holidays so they waited for the end of my quarantine to fire me. That sorry excuse of a person that called me treated me as if I committed a crime. Saying I disregarded CDC guidelines so I couldn't get any unemployment. my manager knew too and didn't say anything either. I'm glad they fired me because I found a much better job. SHARP IS SKETCHY and you're better off not working there. Not good people.

Everyday was a challenge, juggling repairs on the production floor as well as scheduled PM's and also building repairs. I enjoyed the challenges that everyday held in store. Our department was the first response for break downs, safety violations, and building alarms. Monitoring the burglary systems as well as temperature and humidity in critical areas.
  I believe the hardest part of the job was the lack of support from management making the day to day expenses difficult to budget. The most enjoyable part constantly learning new procedures and machines as I advanced from a maintenance tech to a packaging mechanic, responsible for various packaging lines.

It is the classic "Money come first" ideology of the Management. Just about everything can be sacrificed in order to make money, and sadly Quality has very little value as compared to Money. 
This starts at the top, and fighting the system does not give any results.
 This does not mean that it is impossible to do good things. Expect though that big time compromises where Quality and GMPS come last and money come first will very probably be required. This has happened before and more likely it will happen again as management people are the same, with the same ideology.

There is a total lack of communication and respect across the board with this company. 
Advancement is minimum unless you are in upper management.  
Temp to perm is how they get you in and they will keep you at that level without a plan in place to actually make you a perm employee. 
The idea that everything that everyone does within the company affects everyone associated with the company. There is no understanding of teamwork.  Everyone is out for self.

A typical day for me at the company was crazy and chaotic.

Overall not a place where you can advance. I've been there for over a year and Im not a full time employee. When I arrived there they only had 11 full time employees in my department and now they have 12. The rest are temps and we sometimes don't work for months at a time. I need a full time position that challenges me to be a more complete employee. One that allows me to display my total worth to a company.
