I had a decent experience. The pay was lower than what I expected. But the problem was with the billing department management. They only hire and keep friends and family. Definitely favoritism. The assistant manager on the interview tells applicants that the she is very blunt, and asks if you could you handle that. Instead she is very rude, lacks patience and lies to find something wrong with you. I came in on time, as well as met my daily goals, and always dressed according to the guidelines.during my probation, I was there every single day. yet that didn't stop her from getting me laid off. Lord forbid you to be a minute off on your breaks, the management will try to get  you in trouble. Not to mention their systems are totally outdated. The employees were very nice and fun to be around, always willing to help. The billing department is a revolving door if your not related or close friends with the manager and assistant manager. I found out the reasons why the last people whom I replaced we're laid off and it was all because of the assistant manager. Whom is quite young, clearly doesn't know how to manage. Good luck to those of you who are interested. I for one am glad im not still there. Beware of the excuse "not a good fit" please if this happens to you make sure to elaborate. HR was very sweet and she'll try her best hear you out.

I am currently a full time physician working for Skilled Wound Care. I originally started part time looking for a new career with more flexibility and regular work hours while still getting hands on patient care and procedures. After I started with SWC, I appreciated working independently with full autonomy seeing patients and doing procedures while still feeling like a part of a team with an emphasis on quality of care and internal continuing education so that I can feel confident that I am providing the best care for my patients. A typical work day includes rounding from ~7am to 2pm on an average of 20 patients at 2-3 skilled nursing facilities plus ~2-3 hrs of charting in the afternoon or evening depending on my schedule. The EMR is user friendly on the iPad and directs the user by prompting for a majority of the information required to write a good note. I always have support from colleagues and management when I encounter challenges or difficult cases. I was also pleasantly surprised to have found working with the skilled nursing patient population very rewarding especially with the long term patients that you see week after week and feel very fortunate to have developed great working relationships with the various nursing staff. I strongly recommend SWC and look forward to growing with the company.

Working at Skilled Wound Care (SWC) has brought me many new opportunities and advancements within my career. I continuously learn and work on various tasks that help maintain my excitement and interest in my position. Every day has new challenges that push me to be confident and knowledgeable in what I do. Management has always been and continues to be very supportive, uplifting, and educational. I consider myself very lucky to be surrounded by highly intelligent and hard-working executives, managers, and staff. At SWC, they don't expect their employees to be robots, they understand that their employees are people with feelings, families, and lives outside of work. They are great about honing in on inclusivity and working in a team environment; everyone's opinions and suggestions are taken into consideration and acted upon as needed. The hardest part of working at SWC is keeping up with the growth of the company. Growing pains can be challenging, but overall worth it for future opportunities for advancement! The most enjoyable part of the job is the people I get the daily opportunity to work with. I have learned so much from every employee and developed some wonderful working relationships. 

Coming from a company where I was micromanaged for over 14 years and never respected or valued, to enter SWC where every conversation with admin starts with "How are you doing today? How is everything going?" has been such an overwhelming positive experience for me. I am told on a constant basis, by not only the admin but by fellow colleagues as well, what a great job I am doing and how valued I am in the company. I am reminded how much of an impact I can make in the company as well.  The flexibility of admin to allow a work-life balance is above and beyond. They truly are invested in their employees and make sure they know that they are appreciated. Everyone, and I do mean everyone, goes out of their way to help and make sure that you never feel alone and that you are supported. It has been the best change in my career and helped me not only professionally, but emotionally as well. It is an atmosphere of positivity and teamwork every day that I work!

I've thoroughly enjoyed my time at Skilled Wound Care from the friends I've made in my coworkers to the compassion and dedication I see from upper management. I started in this company doing IT Support but through hard work, have been promoted. The company culture truly offers great opportunities and pathways for those that put in the work and that work is recognized by the CEO. One of the most inspirational things is that upper management and our CEO truly care about an often forgotten community, and this truly inspires the company to work hard. They also offer remote work from home which few companies do nowadays and fun activities annually where you get to see your fellow co-workers and bond. We have achieved great place to work certification for several years, and I can clearly see why.

SWC has a thorough onboarding process which comprises of a didactic program and intense clinical shadowing. There are a lot of educational opportunities including continuous wound training, an all expenses paid bi-annual wound conference which provides CME credits, and frequent webinars. 

The company provides a great support system for the staff by having regional teams and administrative staff to assist the providers.

The EMR is very user friendly and up to date. The documentation is comprehensive and detailed which is very important in this specialty especially in the nursing facility. 

The work life balance is great. The schedules are flexible with no night calls or weekend duty and reimbursement is adequate for the position.

Overall, my experience at SWC had been very positive and I look forward to growing with them. I highly recommend the company.

During the day, we are empowered to plan and complete our duties in a way that best works for us. We have a general chat room where all critical information can be found and a random chat where we can celebrate, support, and recognize each other. We have team-building activities and holiday events that allow all workers, especially remote workers, to feel included and part of the organization even though we are not onsite. The quarterly meetings, two online and two in-person allow us to come together, build tighter connections, and learn about the organization and employees' progress and goals for the future.

I'm a physician provider and have worked at this company for one year. I have worked in various medical fields and I have never felt like part of a family, until joining SWC. I have full control of my schedule and I am finally able to enjoy a balanced work/lifestyle. The compensation is fair and I make as much as I want, based on my goals. They never pressure you into working more than you desire. The company is very ethically and their sole goal is to improve patient's lives by eradicating pressure injuries.This is a long term career and I am very happy I have found a place at SWC.

I am a full time physician assistant, and I have been with SWC for a little under 3 years. I have really loved the job and the day to day rounds. I do drive to nursing facilities and see patients who are mostly elderly with wounds. I have a lot of autonomy seeing the wounds and performing bedside procedure like debridement. As a  PA I enjoy being out on the field, making my own decisions, and getting to work alongside nurses. My day starts early to drive and beat traffic. I round at a number of facilities with nurses. Then I come home early in the day at around 3 or 4 ish. I do document at night for about 2 hours on the EMR System.

I can honestly say that SWC is the best organization I have ever worked for. We have clear mission as a company, and we have core values that are exemplified daily by each employee. Management is always available to provide support, guidance, and encouragement. Our employees come from diverse backgrounds. Each department with SWC strives for excellence because we know that as an organization, we improve the lives of the patients seen by each one of providers out in the field. I enjoy coming to work and knowing that I am creating a positive impact in the communities we serve. Since working for SWC I have learned many different things, that have made me a better professional.
