What is the best part of working at the company?
When you clock out and leave this horror of a job!

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Getting yelled at daily, being watched on cameras, being questioned why you got up from your desk, constantly being threatened with the remark “this is the last time” and write ups.  No holiday pay, no vacation pay, mandatory Saturdays.  Promise of bonus pay…which is used as a negotiating tool when offering salary I.e “your salary is a lot less then you’re looking for but your bonuses will more than make up for this.  Nobody gives 2 weeks notice they usually just walk out.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Culture is millions of dollars spent on art work so the owner can impress his friends and outside colleagues, drive very expensive cars and a state of the art security cameras pointed directly at the employees.  Also forget about getting a cookie, candy cane or even a holiday card from the owner during the holidays.  Moral is low and it seems like everyone is always looking for another job.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
You must arrive by 7:00 use a security scan card to enter the building, then you must clock in…if you’re even a little late, then you have to wait until 8:00 to clock in.  This is another form of micromanaging they use.  Most of the upper management yell and scream at each other in front of everyone in  their native language.

I’ve had the pleasure of working at Solar Optimum for the past four years, and I can confidently say it’s one of the best environments I’ve ever been a part of. I started as a receptionist, and within a few months, I transitioned to customer service, with opportunities to explore various departments throughout my first year. This kind of growth is encouraged and supported here, making it a fantastic place to build a career.

The workplace culture is incredibly friendly, and management is always approachable, which fosters a positive and collaborative atmosphere. The flexible hours have also been a great benefit, allowing for a healthy work-life balance.

Working in the solar industry has been an eye-opening experience for me. I never imagined how fulfilling it would be to help homeowners and contribute to the community in such a meaningful way. I highly recommend Solar Optimum to anyone looking for a rewarding career with plenty of opportunities for growth!

Over the past year with certain changes to the solar job market and field here in California, the attitude and work culture of the company shifted more towards performance based reviews vs. developmental reviews. Solar Optimum was a company that helped me grew in a fields where I did not have that much experience in but as time when on, development stopped and margins for tolerance were reduced tremendously in the wake of a declining market. 

Staff and teams that were once praised during the busiest points in company's history during the end of NEM 2.0, were now being unfairly "put under a microscope" as the company has had to restructure due to the decline in sales. 

No harsh feelings or blame can be put on the company. Maybe in the future, if the solar market improves, the company will be able to go back to growing itself internally as it was when I was first hired. 

Working at Solar Optimum has been a wonderful experience, filled with opportunities for personal and professional growth. The company really fosters an environment where moving up the ladder is not just possible but actively supported by management. I truly appreciate how approachable leadership is when it comes to career development, whether it's through training or helpful feedback.
The pay is fair and matches industry standards, which makes you feel valued for what you bring to the table. I genuinely believe that if you put in the effort and take advantage of the growth opportunities available, you can really advance your career here.
Overall, I'm excited about my future at Solar Optimum. I look forward to not just contributing to our team's success, but also continuing to enhance my own career along the way.

Solar Optimum is not a bad company to work for, if you are just seeking stability. You will always get your paychecks on time and you do get some decent insurance benefits. 

However, I must say that the pay is very bad for the amount of work they expect from you. They always set some unrealistic goals for their employees, and pray they do not reach it so that they do not need to pay out bonuses. The managers are always on your back and watching your every move. The work environment gets more and more toxic every year and management claims that they are weeding out the weak and keep the strong ones around. 

Like I said it's a good place to work at if you just want stability. Not a great place to stick around for too long.  

What is the best part of working at the company?
Wages are decent. Co-workers are for the most part really great.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The CEO is a megalomaniac piece of garbage.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Oppressive. Even if you can make descisions, they are all berated by the CEO.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
10hr days + Saturdays every other week. No chance for remote work because the CEO is a megalomaniac and wants to watch everyone work.

Everyone plays a big roll in customer satisfaction. Always learning and always active. Being able to ask questions shows the interest of company's growth within the solar industry and helps management with bigger goal of being #1 as a team. All employees are welcoming and willing to help. The hardest part of the job is when customer are delayed due to circumstances beyond our control. Nevertheless, getting the customers projects completed and reducing their utility bill is a great joy! 

The  most enjoyable part of this job is knowing we're doing some good for the environment, our customers and their family lifestyle. Working hard and working smart are the keys to success here at Solar Optimum. If you are NOT willing to put time and effort in these two aspects, this is not the place for you. Expect taking full ownership of your role and responsibilities. 

Was a great place with a great team of co-workers. Plenty of work and great place to build a career. The owner is very proactive and likes to promote from within. Good benefits and great place to learn different aspects of the business. Fast growing, strong and very stable. Highly recommend for some getting into the solar industry.
