A typical day for me consists of making between 60-100 outbound phone calls to prospective patients, as well as hearing aid providers.  Selling patients on the service they would be receiving from our hearing healthcare providers, as well as selling the patient on the device itself.  Used persuasive sales techniques to help uncertain patients make the decision to move forward.  I have learned a lot about the technical makeup of hearing aids, as well as a lot of general knowledge about the hearing healthcare industry.  The hardest part of my job is the paperwork associated with making sales.  Keeping all of the various documents organized is probably my biggest struggle.  The most enjoyable part of my job is getting a call or text from a patient thanking me for all of my help and patience during their journey to better hearing.

 But...they furloughed us for 2 months, came back and permanently laid off, 3 white women all in their 50's. 1 week after they let us go, they posted the same job positions as open. This was a global cutback, after they just did a product launch?? Now some of the other reps have double the accounts/Outside Sales Reps, which is way to many. My scores/calls/task were consistently one of the highest. I wasn't perfect, still learning after only 10 months there and 2 were furloughed so really being there only 8 months.I really loved my job/co-workers and tried very heard to complete every task they gave us to do. Was still in the process of learning and since we were remote we could not get any additional training, which did not help! I am very upset I really thought this was my forever job!

Good company to work for with good opportunities for advancement if you do well. Due to the nature of the job with hearing aid technology, you felt like you had purpose and were truly helping people to live better lives. Good training team that sets you up well to succeed. Managers were helpful and always available. Some parts of my specific job were frustrating due to overly confusing/complicated and frustrating processes for the customer with regards to school accounts that produced a high amount of extra work and errors to correct. Overall wish it had lasted longer but unfortunately was let go in corporate workforce reduction due to Covid-19. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Helping people with their own needs as hearing impaired.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Get a gol at ended up the day and supervisor was just rise up the number of the devices that we had to check out.
We were working with them on 2 or 3 minutes each one.
So much stress !! Very bad supervisor and management attitude!!!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Working with people from 28 countries.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
As soon as I get to work I’ll felt like a whole pressure from my supervisor that she always wants to be there to talk to me about my efforts and efficiency and she alway wants more and more it freaked me out!  My efforts were not enough for her.

I had my worse experience with this company, super stressful, you are micromanaged every minute of the day , the expectations are unrealistic, No breaks too many meaningless meetings, company does not care about patients, they just care about numbers and sales . When scheduling patients they ask you to give the priority for patients who are ready to purchase and push back all the repairs or cancel the repairs. A very high turnover no one stays with the company… a lot of time you are expected to cover more than one location cause there is no coverage…. Super Greedy company 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working with an organization that cares about making a difference at the individual level. Creating an environment in which I can grow personally and professionally along like minded individuals. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Navigating change at a global level has it's challenges. However, our ELT team is incredibly transparent and purposeful in communicating changes and what that means at an individual employee level. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great culture - you get to work alongside people who care deeply about the organizations purpose and the difference we make in our patients lives.

Audiology is an impactful, diverse career. As with most things, when large companies take over health care-the patient care declines.  It is disheartening to watch patients you have built a repport with just become a number and a dollar sign. They no longer practice the mentality of if you treat the patient right, the revenue will follow.
 It has become revenue first, patient last. Contrary to their upbeat and cheesy webinars, the culture reflects the instability and skeptisism.
There are still audiology practices that care about the patient and their care-this no longer is one of them.


Not much diversity here if you are black or white. The co-workers were friendly, management not so much. They didn't give me much training, even though they said you can get more if you need it. Younger people were given more help/preference. Yesterday my trainer couldn't help me, so I was given "easy work" to do by someone else and told to "take my time" because there wasn't much to do.
So, I took my time. This morning my agency called to tell me I was fired because of "performance." No wonder this place has high turnover.

The company closed 3 offices while I worked there and did not notify patients prior to closing.  They continued to pressure the provider to sell hearing aids knowing the patient would have no support after the sale.  They cut providers pay without reason or discussion.   They are painfully underpaying office staff and expecting an enormous amount of work for such a small salary.  When you bring up issues you are disregarded and ignored.  My office didn't have heat for 2 years. 
 Despicable company.
