I worked at two different offices and both managers were extremely rude.  Vacation requests were constantly denied.  Company stressed that they did NOT do pay raises EVER.  My check was shorted hours several times and when I raised the question, I was not compensated until the following pay period, which put me in a bad position considering I live paycheck to paycheck.  When I put in my two weeks after working there for three years, the manager told me to gather my things and leave right away.

Southwestern is a third generation,  family owned buisness, which means the people in charge are qualified for their position because ....they were born. Luckily,  greed must be genetically transferable, because there is no shortage of that. If you've been considering grifting the elderly for personal benefit than this is your best shot to do so, somewhat legaly. 
If you wanted to help your fellow neighbor. Look elsewhere.

The ability to help change peoples life with fitting hearing aids is fulfilling but the company is sketchy. It does not pay for hardly any insurance, 401K or allow for a  work and home life balance. You might get a couple days off but will get questioned anytime you take days off. Management often lies. Owners expect you to do a lot of work for free as they get richer off you.

Everyone in the company is friendly, and always willing to help anyone. The patients are so sweet, and I enjoy going to work everyday. Knowing that you are improving the quality of someone's life by helping them to hear better, is a great feeling. This company takes care of its employees, and they are always expanding. The hardest part of the job, is when someone really needs a set of hearing aids, but can not afford to keep them.

I have worked for Southwestern Hearing Centers for more than 10 Years as a Hearing Instrument Specialist.  I enjoy working for this company because they care about our patients and about their employees.  It is a family owned and operated company and they treat employees like family.  The pay is more than competitive and benefits are fantastic.  I have no intention of ever leaving this company.

Working by yourself was great. Gave me confidence I’ve never had and I was able to really create a back bone for myself.

Management was always available if you needed help with ANYTHING! Always available in email, phone or chat boxes always very convenient  

I love this company!  If you are passionate about what you do, you will fit in perfectly!  This is a family business and they treat us and patients as if they are part of the family as well.  All the specialists have been with them for over 5 years to 20 years, they are solid, honest and loyal company and I could not imagine any other company to work for.

As large as this family owned company is you feel like you are really part of the family.  Reaching out to any of the owners is always encouraged at any time, and they really do listen and always find a way to fix any problems.  No matter what position you are in, they relate to it and always help.  

This is a wonderful company. Helping people hear is by far the most rewarding part of my job. But the people we work with a truly kind and care about the patients and the employees. They are flexible and understand that we also have things that come up and lives. It's nice to work for a company who cares about people.

We work hard but also have fun .  Friendly  coworkers , easy place to work , employees enjoy being around each other in and out of work.   Benefits are good .
