What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part of working here is the opportunity to continuously learn, grow, and be part of a strong team-oriented culture. With SPAN under new leadership, there has been a noticeable and positive transformation within the company.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of the job is the initial training, which can feel overwhelming at first, like any new role. However, once you learn the products and processes, it becomes much easier. The team is incredibly supportive and walks you through every step, helping you adjust to the day-to-day responsibilities. It truly becomes a fun and rewarding place to work, and the company genuinely lives out its core values.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The culture at SPAN truly reflects its core values — Create, Commit, and Connect. The company encourages innovation and new ideas, empowering employees to create better solutions and continuously improve. There is a strong sense of commitment, not only to the work but also to supporting one another and delivering quality service. Most importantly, SPAN fosters meaningful connections between team members, leadership, and customers, creating a positive and collaborative work environment.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day starts when we arrive at the office and clock in. Most of us grab a coffee and review our agenda for the day. While each role has its own specific day-to-day responsibilities, the expectations are always clearly communicated, and you are given the tools and direction needed to be successful.

I would not recommend SPAN Enterprises for a job or career to anyone.  

They boast in the local news, and on their websites about how they're a local company based in Rock Hill, SC.  While they are based here, they employ far more people in India than they do in South Carolina.  

A typical day at work was a roller coaster. How it went all depended on the owner's attitude and mood for that day.  Agie was one of the worst managers/owners I've ever worked for.  One day he would feel you were doing a good job, the next he would be literally yelling at you.  There was no coaching, only yelling.  

The co-workers were the best part of the job.  I really liked who I worked with, but that was the one of the few positive takeaways.  

Yes, there are special lunches and other team activities, but these fall very short of making up for the atmosphere you're in the remainder of the week at SPAN. 

The pay is not competitive, the vacation time is extremely limited, and they expect you to have flexibility, but do not give any flexibility to employees.  I originally took the job because I felt that there was a great deal of opportunity to advance and learn...but, it's simply not worth it.  The economy has improved so much now, I hope that SPAN cannot continue to take advantage of their staff as they have been for so long.

Fantastic culture, great benefits, and great pay. They are hands down one of the best places I have ever worked thus far. They have had such an impact on me that goes beyond just the career aspect. I've learned so much here that its really hard to name all it all. Alot of my learning came from the fact that they push you outside of your comfort zone (not in a bad way). In the end, it pays off. I can honestly say they generally care about its employees. They invest time and efforts in every one of its employees which is rare to find most of the time. The atmosphere here is fabulous. We have alot of fun events together such as after work meets or egg drops- not because we have to, but because we want to. They are like a family away from home. That is not to say you can come here and slack off. We all have goals and anyone here is willing to help you acheive them. We all work to make the products better for the company and the clients. Some may be asking why I leave if its so great? Well, the short answer is for personal reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with the company or the employees. I wish Span all the best and will truly miss my Spanies!

The work is engaging and fast-paced, offering opportunities to support customers, solve problems, conduct product demonstrations, and collaborate with various teams.

Management is supportive, approachable, and provides employees with the resources needed to succeed while trusting them to take ownership of their work.

One of the things I appreciate most about SPAN is the benefits and strong work-life balance. As a parent of young children, having a workplace that values family and flexibility is incredibly important. There are also opportunities for career advancement, making it a great place for individuals who are looking to grow and build a long-term career.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The culture at Span is great! You are not limited to one role, input for all aspects of the company is welcomed and valued. I've learned so much about technology and business development here.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Tax deadlines initiate increased call and email volume which can be stressful but my team works together well to accommodate all of the additional calls.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
We are a very diverse group of people but we all work together to create the best product and offer the best support to our clients.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
In addition to supporting our clients via phone calls and emails, we have daily designated training time, so everyone is up to date on form changes and filing requirements. We also spend time daily testing and providing feedback to our development team.

This place is nothing but empty promises and 3 jokes for bosses. If you want to hate yourself 8 hours a day and work at a pathetic excuse for a business, then this is the place for you. Absolutely no respect from the upper management and they will watch everything you do. You will be doing something completely different than what hired for and given no freedom.

At Span, management trust you to take the initiative and create value. The organization is pretty flat, so when you do show promise, it's noticed and rewarded. However, because management normally takes a hands off approach, it's up to the employee to create direction and purpose - which to some could be a pro as I later found out.

Be very careful. This is an extremely toxic place work. Be prepared to micromanaged and demeaned by management. They will constantly threaten to take away benefits like health, pto, etc, as well as let everyone know in their company 'meetings' that they can terminate your employment at will and that they can easily replace you.
