I worked at the Meijer Heart Center (specifically 7 Heart) and LOVED it! Everyone is absolutely amazing. When I had to leave work in the middle of a shift due to illness, the entire floor rallied together to cover my patients so I didn’t feel obligated to stay. I loved the people and the work. It was also a build-your-own schedule, and you did it in 6 week blocks, so that was super nice too. 
BUT
You will get pulled to other floors, and sometimes even to other facilities. Almost regularly (like once a week). Other floors/facilities definitely don’t have the same level of support and care as 7Heart. The nurses can be much more difficult to work with, and there is a much higher turnover rate for nursing techs because of it. 
Also, required overtime IS actually required. There is no getting out of it. So if you signed up to do a part time job, say, two 12.5 shifts per week, there will be at least one (but usually two) 2-4 month blocks per year that you will be REQUIRED to pick up an extra 12.5 shift, often weekly. There is no way out of it. So the part time job becomes a full time job. Granted, they usually compensate you pretty well for that extra shift, sometimes up to double pay with a huge bonus, but it’s still a lot to require of employees. 

I have never worked in such an innovative and advanced employer. In my first week, one of our presenters talked solely about the importance of work-life balance. You're encouraged to take PTO, and the culture is so refreshing. I've observed and personally experienced the ease of moving job positions and moving up in the company! They promote from within regularly, which is something I'm used to hearing at former employers, but I've never seen it actually acted on until now. Additionally, Spectrum offers college cohorts without making you work there for a set period of time, Spectrum pays for it AND once the courses are complete, they provide a raise and a bonus! In addition, their tuition reimbursement program does not have to have any relation to your job or Spectrum in any way. They pay for your education, regardless of the field. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
This organization has an honest work-family feel. Employees are treated with respect and dignity. Team members are dedicated to helping people navigate difficult life challenges. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The limited amount of additional assistance the organization is able to provide when other resources are not available.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Open-minded, accepting, and truthful people trying to fill in assistance gaps to deliver superior, client-centered care. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Some days are crammed full and others may be slow but very productive.

I assessed government workers and performed physical exams, immunizations and first aid care. Responded to emergencies in a timely manner and communicated with physicians in a productive manner. 
    The workplace culture was extremely diverse and everyone had a postive attitude. The hardest part of the job was when an emergency took place and you had limited resources and support. I enjoyed the people I worked with and caring for the client base at spectrum. Being able to understand the entire organization and their mission was the most enjoyable part of the job. I also like the autonomy that was given to me as an experienced nurse.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Horrible customer service to its employees . Treat nurses like 2nd class citizens . Benefits costs are put back on employees . Operations extremely unstable !!! 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Its Instability and horrible treatment of nurses who are the company's bread and butter . 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The Government Agencies are the best part about the job  who are the clients . Such a fun job except for working for  Spectrum 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Occupational Health to Government Employees was so much fun and the highlight .

Conflict of interest throughout the company

To many hands in the cookie jar
To many needs from the higher ups
The lower people on the command tree don't get appreciated nor do the employees who are actually doing the work for the company to still maintain to stay in operation
Care more about the income of the grants then helping the clients in need of help. The clients are just a paycheck for the upper management
Upper management is the main problem throughout the company of Spectrum

They seem broke. Always cutting things, positions, programs, vehicles, office supplies, wages., hiring. They have been doing this for more than a year.

Not especially. Everyone is pretty stressed about being let go next

Meetings where you hear about more budget cuts and leaders being let go

Great working conditions. HR works well with their nurses. Great communication with management.

As a prn traveler the most stressful part was flying to and from assignments .

The culture was pretty supportive overall.

Interact with federal employees doing well exam physicals at a reasonable pace.

I currently work for Spectrum and absolutely love it!

Honestly no stress which is odd..lol

It's fabulous .no chatty drama, everyone is friendly enough but not too much

Well I get to meet all kinds of people and get to give them hope.Its being part of someone's journey to a better life that gives me much joy.
