I dedicate  12 sessions a month  to them this is both new and return clients but they are growing their network and reach with great speed 

They have good rates and pay for no shows aw well

I have had direct contact with many important people in this start up 

I find the values of removing barriers of mental health service strong and I have been with them for a year and they have done everything they have said they were going to do

They have allowed me extra opportunities to connect and present for some very important fortune 500 companies. 

Spring health has treated me with respect and dignity and are serious about their company culture with no pretense.

getting paid by them has been easy and they are dependable 

If you are looking for a telehealth option for EAP and also growing out to a commercial insurance plan without having to credential (They do it for you) then this is your place 

Also, the psychiatrist that works for them are very good and the care team that supports the clients on the phones is great. I feel very supported  

Most important they base their performance ofn the metrics that the client reports and they let you see what your overall performance is. There are incentives for great metrics. After being a therapist for over 20 years it's the first time I have ever been rewarded for my performance on top of the rate

I am fairly new to Spring Health as a contracted provider.  I enjoy the clients I meet with and documentation expectations are reasonable.  Pay structure with Spring Health is greater than it was when I worked for another provider being paid 50% of insurance reimbursement. 

Communication and policy implementation from Spring Health has been inconsistent and full of discrepancies.  They recently announced a change in policy from reimbursing providers 100% for late cancel/no-show appointments (within 24 hours of scheduled appointment) to reimbursing only 50%-75%.  Many contracted providers emailed the CEO and expressed their concerns about this change and asked for a rate increase to defer some of the loss of income that will happen due to this new policy.  Within hours some providers were offered a rate increase, no questions asked.  Some heard nothing.  Others were sent an email saying all rates will be reviewed in 2024.  And some were asked to fill out a form for official review of their rates.  

While I experience a small portion of late cancel/no-show appointments and probably won't see a huge impact on my income, my respect for and trust of the company has waivered since experiencing their response to my request for a rate increase due to their upcoming policy change.

A typical day felt like trying to hit a moving target. Expectations, workflows, and priorities changed constantly, sometimes from one day to the next, but employees were still held to extremely high metrics that were difficult to meet even when working hard and staying organized. The level of micromanagement made it hard to feel trusted or supported, and the pressure to constantly perform created an unhealthy work environment.

I learned how to manage a high-volume workload, adapt quickly, and advocate for clients under pressure. The most enjoyable part of the job was supporting clients and working alongside colleagues who genuinely cared about the people they served.

Unfortunately, management often prioritized numbers over employee well-being. The hardest part was the impact the job had on my mental health. By the end, I felt completely depleted. Employees deserve clear expectations, realistic workloads, consistent communication, and leadership that values people as much as productivity.

Overall, it seems the better you perform, the harder you are asked to work, and the less you are compensated.

Spring health strives to be the mentally healthiest place to work. I’ve worked at the company since 2022.  Every performance review I have received, has been filled with positive feedback, and highlight my contribution to the team- such as reducing A/R by 90% in some instances. 

I have applied for 5 internal roles at Spring, and have been passed up on each and every one. At some point or another, it appears that biases are at play. Specifically,  the opportunity has always gone to someone who has worked here less time than I have. Someone who I ultimately have to train on the role that I myself have been passed up on. 

I am asked to lead team syncs, create presentations, provide project analysis and work on Ad Hoc projects. I feel overlooked for my achievements and contributions to the company and company goals that I’ve accomplished. It seems the larger the company grows, the more the original goal of being the Mental healthiest place to work is lost.



I have been a contract therapist for two years and have been mostly happy up until today. They provided a less than two weeks notice that they were dropping compensation for late cancels/no shows by 50%, and of course they did so right before the holidays. We have a contractual obligation to provide 30 days notice and an ethical obligation to terminate appropriately with clients, so we are forced to accept this reduction in pay without recourse. There have been other recent changes as well that don’t fit well with 1099 contract work including mandatory unpaid trainings. I used to recommend contract work with them to therapists but will not be doing so any more. 

I chose to move onto other ventures when they were hiring full time as their starting salary was decent, but had no bonus opportunities. After speaking to colleagues about their transition to W2 and the micromanagement, I chose to move toward other W2 opportunities. I strongly disliked the clinical director as she presented as rigid and not friendly. The interview with her solidified my decision to leave as it seemed she didn't put any effort into knowing my work ethic or tremendously high KPIs (I was scoring in the top percentiles consistently during my time there). I couldn't see myself working for a company/supervisor like her, so I left and it was the best decision of my life. Overall, their attitude towards contractors was terrible, and the attitude in the interview was also terrible.  

Beware there is nothing clinical about the clinical manager positions. You are checking stats, schedules and having meeting to dee how your team can keep customers happy and meeting their KPIs. That’s it.
The motto of removing barriers to mental health comes at the cost of the mental health of those doing the admin work. The demands don’t stop and when you point out things need to improve you are invited to be “reenergized by their mission”. Unilateral decisions are made about culture and employees are told the decision is made, keep working. There is a worship culture re:  the co founders that feels cultish. 

I enjoy working for Spring Health. They have filled my schedule with clients I enjoy working, most of which say they were aligned with my profile. I am paid for no shows and late cancellations. Pay per session is fair to me. I asked for a $10 raise and it was honored. They communicate fairly quick. When I reach out they always respond. I am allowed to be autonomous in my work. I love that I can open up 40 slots or 1 slot a week, and I make my own schedule. 
Cons are no benefits or PTO, but I am 1099 and I have a full time job so I don't need these benefits. I see myself with Spring Health for many years to come as long as things stay the same. 

I can set my own schedule, clients can schedule with me up to 24 hours before their appt so you have to keep an eye on your schedule. I feel like I can be as busy as I want to be, my schedule fills up quickly.

Quick responses to any concerns and I feel like the case presentations are always really interesting.

The pay is good but no benefits for therapists, they do offer an incentive bonus twice a year that can be 10% of your pay.

The clients I have had so far have been great to work with and you get paid the same rate for no shows as you do regular sessions, it would be great if they paid more for intakes though. 

I am a 1099 contractor with Spring Health. It has been a wonderful experience! They not only pay well, but give performance bonuses twice a year. They send assessments to clients, have psychiatrists and doctors on staff, and are very quick to respond to any request. They are very professional. Business has been great until the past few months. My caseload has recently dwindled.
