Well I really wanted to grow a career here the management did a good job of killing that dream. Simply put they overwork and force you to complete tasks that are the jobs of other departments because everybody in the company dislikes having to speak to their demographic. The members are rude and the management is just incompetent. I could not tell you how many times I went to a supervisor or management only to get little to no help or even at times misinformation and wrong answers….. Ultimately they will make you deal with things like collections and tax forms despite having departments you should be transferring callers to instead… I personally would not recommend this job. It was very clear they had no real knowledge of how to operate a call center.

Just do yourself a favor and keep looking for another job. If you are looking for a contact center position. DO NOT WORK HERE, management is horrible, they don’t know anything, and they EXPECT you to know. You don’t get promoted within, unless the manager knows you personally. And other departments, they don’t hire you unless they like you, it does t matter whether you are capable of doing the job or have all the knowledge. HR is worthless, you bring issues up to them, and they ignore it. Just stay away from this place. 

My reviews keep getting rejected! Stanford CU is a okay place to work overall. However, some of the management is lacking. Meaning a lot goes on that HR and the CEO have no clue.  You will find there is a lot of favoritism and one VP in particular is a bully. HR is aware of this VP but their hands are tied. You will work among a great group of employees! People that really care and will become lifelong friends. 

- Working in a big company with a big IT department allows me to interact with people with various areas of specialization - networking, software development, user support, project management. I have never seen such a dedicated cadre of staff - they are a very hardworking and dedicated bunch of individuals.

Generally a good place to work, as with any company, management is hit or miss. Many of the veterans are a pleasure to work with, and due to the customer base being smaller than larger institutions you are apt to build more relationships with members. I do feel that I've learned an aptitude of things when it comes to lending, financial planning and the like.

The best part of this job was our members. They were intelligent and very giving at the same time. The Team at the branch were all highly trained and skilled in their jobs. They were experts in customer service and job knowledge. It was a daily team effort we all helped each other when needed. Great Team!

A lot of face to face interaction with members, solving problems, and collaboration. Great culture and leadership takes time to celebrate everyone! Could not recommend it enough.

I had the opportunity to grow with a small company. Learned all there is know about retail banking.

I worked for SFCU for more then 5 years. It was a great  place to work until new management came aboard. If you plan to work there you will see A LOT of office politics and back stabbing. There is a high turn over for some reason and its OK because it the norm.
