You will:

Work 55 to 80 hours a week trying to manage a poorly worked route, in stores that could care less if you're there or not.

Have to organize and maintain at least one full storage unit worth of sunglasses, car and cheap Chinese consumer electronics and be ready for audits on the cleanliness of that storage unit and your company supplied van quarterly.  

Run into endless problems with stores closing, inventory reclamation, and a plethora of other routing problems that will guarantee that you will hardly ever have a normal work week.

Have upper management that has no footing in actual reality.  They expect, but offer absolutely no solutions because they are 100% inept.

You won't:

Ever have free time to spend with your wife and kids or even manage the things around your own home you need to manage.

Have secure bonus structures for all the hard work you do to score well on your audits.  The company will change pay terms and bonus structures at will and avoid pay raises and paying out agreed on bonuses saving themselves thousands of dollars a year.

Ever be able to score well on your vehicle and storage audits because you'll be swimming in years of neglected stock that would take a team a week of working a solid week or more to sort, count, box and keep clean.

Have much energy or ambition after six months or so and will eventually quit as a result, unless you have a hillbilly route that is easy to schedule.  If you are offered a city route you will not find parking for the oversized commercial van, nor get any help in trying to finding solutions to this issue.  You will be left to figure it out on your own, and will be told that it's your problem to figure it out.

I've never encountered a job that has such poor management in my life.  If you take this job, you will eat and sleep the job, and you will only receive criticism no matter how hard you work, how well you score on your audits, and you will find that your pay structure will change so you don't ever succeed.  If you really need a job, keep looking.  SRP Companies is a dumpster fire of an organization, and you will get burned if you stick around long enough.

I cannot express my disgust with this company in a short paragraph. THIS COMPANY TREATS DOES NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR EMPLOYEES.The pay is a slap in the face, raises are rare and so small they are offensive, bonuses are so small its pointless to give them, no cost of living increase, worst medical coverage ive ever heard of, no room for growth or learning. The only thing you get out of working here is a tiny paycheck and constant attack on your self esteem. Promotions are only for friends of the people who matter, so don't even bother.. The only guarantee you get with this company is that you will be treated like you are worthless and reminded of that often. Belittled, intimidated, and emotionally wrecked after getting spoken down to for an hour every week during department meetings.This company is so greedy its shocking and appalling and they make no attempts to hide it. They will take advantage of you any chance they get as long as they can save or earn a penny, even if its at your expense. The jobs are demanding timewise and physically, but the emotional toll is the worst. Turnover is high because some people are intelligent enough to recognize the dozens of signs that this company is headed downhill too fast to stop. Most management 
Seems skilled at pretending that they are contributing, but cant or wont communicate, train, lead, or pretend that their employees matter.. They will throw you under the bus if they can.  All departments are chaotic, IT cant keep systems up and running and payroll has a hard time paying people correctly. This company is a train wreck  and I have no idea how they've stayed in business. The chaos in everyday aspects of the business only gets worse and I believe that they will be shut down in a few years. If you have any shred of self esteem or dignity,  do youreself a favor and DO NOT APPLY. Everything sounds like its going to be great during the interview process, until your first week on the job.

I've been away from the company for awhile now, and based on conversations with current employees and what I’ve seen firsthand seeing the embarassing condition of their displays in the stores, absolutely nothing has improved. The same issues that existed when I left are still happening today. That’s no coincidence—it’s the result of the same ineffective people still holding management positions. Everything people are complaining about now has been true for over a decade. Way too many managers have no business being in charge of anything. They don’t get it, and frankly, they never will.

As for the route driver role—it's not a bad job in itself. It could be great. But SRP has a knack for taking something that should be very simple and making it unnecessarily complicated, to the point where no one wants to deal with it anymore. No matter how hard you work on your route, it won’t make up for how poorly the company handles planning and execution, and managing their business. Nothing has changed for the better. You will never do a good enough job to compensate for it. 

And if you're working there, don’t speak up. Seriously. The moment you do, they’ll turn on you. Keep quiet, trust nobody and focus on finding your way out. 

As far as pay goes, it's always been mediocre at best. What they don't tell you is that your ASM will be the only beneficiary from your hard work—raises, bonuses, even commissions, supposedly. I was told directly by a current ASM that they get a cut of the route sales they oversee, on top of their regular pay. Wouldn’t surprise me at all. 

Bottom line: stay away. If you’re considering this company, find something—anything—else. Working here will be a stain on your resume. And if you’ve already made that mistake, do what I did: pretend it never happened. Make up another job for that time. Trust me, you’re better off. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Working on my own with very little supervision.  I’m a self starter so I really enjoyed the independence.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Routing was done out of state.  In the same day I would pass a store twice and then back track 20 miles to service that store later in the day.  It happened everyday and in the daily accumulation of extra time caused unnecessary hours of overtime.  Smart phone routing system would not allow working stores out of preset route order.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I liked the job.  The scheduling of FaceTime meetings was awkward.  Different time zones at the same meeting.  Convenient for some, not for others.  Having to stop in the middle of route with some stores with delivery deadlines still scheduled.  Not saying meetings weren’t important, Fridays afternoons most every route was complete and would not have affected delivery schedules.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Worked out of my house.  Usually started between 3-6 am depending on delivery time policy of my first stop.  Followed the assigned route for that day.  Usually back home and clocked out by 6-8 pm.   Fridays, usually did not include delivery unless I was behind.  Fridays I cleaned the storage warehouse, checked in and put up product and ordered for the next week.

The pay is decent for most areas of the country. It is a little low for Florida and bigger cities. You get paid from the minute you get in your truck at 5am to the minute you park at 6 or 7 pm. You get paid every week. The benefits are affordable and among the very best in the industry. You get a company credit card for travel and work related expenses. The per diem is a little low for when you’re out over night which is an average of one night every other week. The routes can be insanely large and in my area there are way too many stops that move way too much product to have any degree of work/life balance. Pretty much kiss your family goodnight on Sunday and kiss them hello on Friday afternoon. Friday is usually a shorter day to give you time to do a load on your truck. Busy routes like mine need to load daily. Management respects the employees to the core and when the peanut butter hits the fan rest assured your managers will have your back. I have never felt so respected or valued in any route sales job. PTO comes out to 2 weeks a year and 2 floating holidays. You can “Sell back” PTO around Christmas for cash to use for the holidays. Closed with pay most years between Christmas and New Years. 

Do NOT apply to an HR position here, you will be overwhelmed and overworked, lead by (and I don't say this lightly) an incompetent leader. To put it into perspective, this time last year (End of 2024) the HR team had 13 members. Today they only have 6 members, 3 are recruiters, and the other 3 are specifically HR. 

Same workload. Weird. 

So with the Sr HR Director: Feedback and communication is one-sided: you’re expected to respond immediately to their requests, but you can wait weeks (or forever) for answers or direction on your own work. I hope you're also prepared for this director to claim your work as their own. And if you do poorly, well, that's all on you. 

The HRBP: Just started a month ago from this post. She claims to know everything, but you'll quickly find out that's not the case. Also quick to assign you work they don't want to do themselves.

Coordinator: Does admin work for the HR team. Why do they need another coordinator role? How much admin work could there be?

If this sparkling team isn't enough to put you off, just know that your work hours likely won't just be 9-5, or any variation of the window. You'll be expected to manage to manage across all US time zones. If your counterpart isn't there, that will be the case. So expect calls as early as 3-4am to as late as 11pm. Like I said, same workload.

I say all this to genuinely warn you against working for this HR team. 


Day starts by 5 am you are driving their trucks. These trucks have cameras that run non stop. Could be positive or negative. Training is out of state depending where you are and is not what you will actually be learning on the job. OJT is aggressive and demanding. You are expected to work a minimum of 52 hours weekly but you actually work 60-70 hours weekly. A lot of nights away from home. Trucks are filthy and you are expected to clean up the route mess from prev employees who quit. (Numerous people) upper management doesn’t care if you have issues. They never return emails or phone calls. If you have issues don’t expect help. They push you and throw you into the route no guidance or help you are expected to “do what you can”. The displays are extremely dirty on lost routes but they don’t want you cleaning if it takes extra time. Products are cheap made    You can’t eat your lunch in the trucks. Vehicles are not maintained. I had a truck with bald tires and axle issues. They told me I had to deal with it. They do not care about their employees no matter how much they tell you they are there for you. I don’t recommended this to anyone who has a life.

I was very grateful to be somewhere like SRP for a first warehouse worker.. No micromanage &
they definitely allow you to work OT whenever you’d like or when it was offered.. rare when it was “mandatory”. I really tried my best and I still feel I gave it so much of everything I’ve had, just for someone who barely knows me as a person or yet an employee alone sabotage the opportunity for me to advance in the company will never be okay to me especially a person in a leadership position. if you start in the back good luck because you have no specific job title so that department alone basically scrambles up things for you to do on a day to day basis and some of it is honestly too tedious or a waste of time. SRP I think is still a good company it’s just management is definitely unprofessional on so many levels… it’s been taken up to corporate recently because they were letting go too many good people over miscommunication firsthand.

A typical day at work? 
Wake up at 4 am to leave by 5 am so you can start your day by 6 am. You get home about 8 pm. 
 What I learned? 
No matter how hard you worked or hustled it’s never gonna be enough. 
Management? 
ABSOLUTELY SUCKS.
Workplace culture? 
Unprofessional. 

You have to push cheap, worthless sunglasses and electronics to meet a sales quota. Too many Indians and not enough chiefs. They don’t care about your safety. The first truck I was given I was told not to walk on the soft spot. I pulled the mat back and could see the asphalt under the van. Higher management sit at a desk not even knowing what is going on out in the field but expect you to meet their expectations. You are supposed to pack a rack with 300 items and have room for 100. They go behind your back and have people follow you to make sure you meet their expectations. If you’re thinking you want this job, think again. You will be run in the ground and terminated when you speak up for yourself.  I wish I’d never gotten sucked into this sorry company. They most definitely do not care about the route representatives. 

The warehouse is filthy and only gets cleaned once a year.The managers are rude and have no concern for your safety.You could fall right in front of them almost breaking your knee and no one would even ask if you are okay.If you are temp they treat you like absolute garbage.You try to speak to them and they will ignore you. They think they are above you.They lay out most of the rules while you break them.It's piddly stuff like you can't  take the tape gun or pallet Jack from this area or that area.They expect you to have your speed down the first day you start pulling orders.They block the numbers and if you miss where it is at they make fun of you for missing it.There is no ac or heat..the floors are cracked and most of the pallets they use are falling apart.Managers are unprofessional talking about alcohol and dating and jokingly saying "I'm gonna kill you".
