I have genuinely been extremely happy and fulfilled with my experience at Strategic Factory, and after reading several of these negative reviews, possibly from disgruntled past employees, I felt compelled to offer a different perspective to future candidates.  

Strategic Factory offers a dynamic work environment with an upbeat, optimistic, and enthusiastic company culture. Team members are friendly, the building is modern and clean, and the fast-paced environment is energetic and creative. 

Due to the busy nature of the business, the work is very diversified and that opens the opportunity to constantly learn different business aspects and participate in additional training and inhouse education.

I have found all of my direct managers and the leadership team to be reasonable, rational, approachable and furthermore, any work place issues that have arisen, whether directly or indirectly affecting myself or the departments I have worked in, have been handled in an efficient and unbiased manner by upper management and where necessary, Human Resources or the CEO. 

The workplace culture is very friendly and pre-COVID-19 several social team events and initiatives would take place both within the workplace and out. There are also several environmental, charitable, and social responsibility initiatives that I have enjoyed being part of. The camaraderie among the employees has resulted in development of many friendships that go far beyond the workplace. 

While the work hours can occasionally be long, outlining my exact role and management expectations has allowed me to use my work hours efficiently and effectively, which has avoided the need to take work home.

Throughout my time at the company I have never experienced or witnessed any illegal or unethical business practices and have always felt like a valuable part of a successful team. 


Lack of clear directions and no resources to succeed. Low pay. Very high turnover. No opportunity for advancement. No pay increases, or performance evaluations. Nepotism.
Strong culture of mistrust, always assuming employees were dishonest. Actual dishonesty/unethical behavior not punished. Unethical leadership. Mission statement was preached, not followed. No respect for anyone time: late or rescheduled most meetings.
Executive team spent most days planning expansion, mergers, future structure instead of real work. Meetings about meetings to plan meetings, yet overall poor communication and scapegoating. Each executive would jump on an email to further berate the employee. 
Employees would be hired for their contacts, then fired leaving them in a noncompete within a small market and specific industry. Others offered roles with promise of advancement only to be terminated after completing large projects that executive leadership could not or would not do. Whistleblowing was squashed. Any dissent was investigated and rooted out.
Many very nice people hired. Many events planned to pretend to be employee friendly. Cake and games don't  outweigh being timed on a restroom break. Same employees recognized or complimented. More clubhouse than company. Outside events often accompanied by poor executive behavior and excessive, excessive alcohol consumption.

This is all in fairness and honesty based on both experiences and observations. Don't be tricked by the fancy decorations, upbeat company posters, flashy lights, and social media gimmicks at all. From the outside all looks clean, fun, and nice but after a few days or less you will likely soon realize what you got yourself into.

You deal with so much unnecessary stress and it always tends to fall on your shoulders. It will truly test your limits and I recommend to not take this very lightly.

The Graphics role pretty much felt like it was set up to fail, drive you crazy, or drive you to quit in all honesty.
-There is tons of unnecessary stress everyday that pushes you to your core.
- Projects or tasks you have no knowledge of are thrown at you left and right.
- Processes switched up constantly leaving confusion and chaos.
-You are fixing and held responsible for issues that should not even occur and were due to poor planning or the error of others.

You suffer from the results of leadership, poor planning, and lack of company care. This place WILL show it's true colors shortly after they get you signed on and you WILL see the true atmosphere firsthand.

From the outside it's projected as pretty nice on Facebook or by HR. Once you start the role you'll quickly see how it is. The interview was very vague, ambiguous, reserved in details, and rushed.

I worked there for three weeks as a CSR. I thought I was doing well and learning quickly. I did one week of shadowing all the departments and only two weeks actually learning my job. After two weeks they fired me because I was not meeting their expectations. I asked for specific instances and they did not answer it directly. It was slow at that time so I assumed they fired me because there was not enough work and couldn't afford to keep me, but instead of telling me the truth they lied. Also I was told to always look busy and have a messy desk so management thought I was working to keep my job, this came from my supervisor. Wow. Anyway they have a HUGE turnover rate and expect you to work your butt off for bad pay and they they will fire you after 3 weeks, this was extreamly common which is why none of the current employees got to know me because they knew I probably would only work for a couple of weeks so there was no point. Dont work for them, there are way better print companies put there that know how to run a buisness and treat their employees well.

The typical day is very busy - the nature of the work can make the day very demanding but it flies by quickly. Other employees are knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. There are a few bad apples just like every other company - new ideas are highly encouraged but people who complain just to complain without offering suggestions aren't tolerated. Communication is worked at a lot, but can always be improved. The CEO does really make an effort to know everyone by name and ask how to make their jobs easier or resolve concerns, as do a few of the other managers.

Wonderful place to wake up and go to work to. As an HR intern I work closely with the HR team in maintaining confidential employee personal, participate in onboarding and new hire process, phone and resume screen candidates, and assist with any administrative tasks. Lots of fun working with HR team and other departments to ensure company's success. Great culture that's always planning exciting company events for employees. Awesome CEO. 

Pros:
Networking, Freebies, PTO flexibility, fun events culture, inspiring CEO

Cons:
Mid- Management needs leadership & communication training, no diversity in upper management roles, favoritism among team, ineffective performance evaluation, nonexistent department goal setting/success measures, unclear mood based expectations, gaslighting, and more. 

Strategic Factory seemed like a breath of fresh air at first but the longer I was there the more it felt like my hardworking nature was being taken advantage of. After my interview I was told an admin position was being created for me based on my experience. Said created position had no clear structure or outline of the job expectations and tasks for me. Management is little to no help in terms of advancement and training. Also stingy when it comes to raises. HR can't be trusted if you're having issues and will use that against you to fire you.

Being made to feel Iike you haven’t done enough.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work hard and long hours. The Good Culture is a facade. Real culture is that you’re just another number out there to make the owners more money while you are well underpaid and under appreciated 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
12-15 hour days filled with emails, meetings and closed door conversations about other employees

Bad workplace culture for people of color. The non-diverse management does not seem to pay attention to any subordinates of color. There did not seem to be any chance for advancement or idea channeling for people of color. I felt that there was a segregation between management and subordinates. The company requires you to go to 3 "New Hire lunches" of which they never tell you about what's going on in the company. The same mantra is preached at each of the 3 “New Hire lunches.”  Once again, I would not recommend this company for people of color.
