charting is non-stop  almost 24/7 and no paid time for charting after hours. Nurses don't get their schedules until the evening before, than you have to rush and call patients to confirm a time for the next day and sometimes no answer than you have to call the office the next morning so they can try and call from the office number, than you might finally get a call back later in the evening and you are expected to still see them, no regards for your valuable time and family.

Supervisors were receptive to issues experienced and assist to find solutions.

Traveling throughout the boroughs.

The work environment was helpful and professional. Extremely conducive to learning. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Traveling from home to home to assess clients and reassess clients.
Call doctor  to inform of visits  and update on clients health status.

Private care I like working in a non group home setting…

Not having enough clients to work for in my area…

It wasn't friendly and very much task oriented.

Summit is decent. I love my client they’re who make me live the job. The only thing I had an issue with was pay. When it was time to get my pto they lost the paper I filled out. You can’t get in contact with hr. They took a whole month to even get back to me. Had to go to the office after a month to fill it out again. But other than that it’s fine. You can get overtime and stuff which I love. 

Initially I was very happy with this company. However broken promise after broken promise has left this employee damaged and actively looking for a better company. Work home life balance is extremely poor. 

Because of the nature of home care hours may fluctuate at times leaving your check a bit short. Other than that it's a great company to work for and probably the least toxic nursing job I ever had. Management is fully supportive and always quick to compliment!

Pay is per visit and is very low compared to other agencies.  They have NO loyalty to employees.  Use and dispose.   They over hire so to have coverage but do not offer equitable work to employees.  It's a farce like ALL OTHER HOME HEALTH  Agencies.  Horrible profession.

They do not provide thier nurses with health insurance until a year of full-time work. They also only provide very few benefits  if any. It just seems to be an agency that don't care for thier nurses.
