I've worked at Team Rehab for 6 months now as a DPT. Its genuinely a very great place to work. The company offers substantial benefit packages that outright beat most competitors, free courses multiple times a month for CEU upkeep, bonus incentives, and 20 PTO days starting out.

While the expectations are 55-60 patients per week, this isn't very unmanageable due to support staff available. Rehab technicians are vital, and extremely beneficial in this company. While they're predominately available for charting exercises, cleaning tables, and basic upkeep, technicians are also somewhat responsible for exercise instruction. (Which seems to be the growing norm in outpatient setting).

The EMR system is extremely streamlined, and very easy. Daily notes take 3-5 minutes, progress notes 5 minutes, evals you can generally finish during the 1-on-1 time you have with that patient.

Overall, enjoyable place to work. I just wish the compensation for outpatient settings was more reflective of the patient loads you have to see. (This isn't Team Rehab's fault)

After four rounds of interviews over a month I was chosen to take the PAC (front desk) location at a very busy clinic. The culture is great, my coworkers are overall quite supportive, and patients are lovely as well. My only major CON: In my opinion this shouldn’t be a one person department- as while PTO is generous, it puts great stress and guilt on the PAC taking any deserved time for themselves. There should be two fully trained people in this position and yet I’m the sole person to sign up new patients, answer phones, check in, verify insurance, run reports, etc. I’ve never seen another medical office so poorly staffed at a desk.

Benefits are by far the best of any competitor. Pay is just okay. If you’re in a single income household this likely won’t be adequate. But for a married person or someone living at home getting started in the medical field it’s a great jumping off point. I likely will only stay a year. Only due to it not being enough to comfortably live on as a single person, but I have few complaints otherwise.

I have worked within Team Rehab for 14 years as a tech, PT, Second in Command, and now as a Clinic Director. Team provides an upbeat patient care atmosphere allowing you to treat patients the way you want to.  Team offers a great continuing education program with internal courses and an allowance for external courses to develop the techniques you are interested in. I enjoy the comradery between my co workers and friend working within other clinics. Overall, this is a great place to provide excellent outpatient orthopedic patient care for patients. Opportunities for career advancement and management are available and supported in addition to mentorship opportunities within specialty tracks like sports, parkinsons, mens/womens health.

This company has AMAZING Benefits. The joke is don’t drink the water, everyone ends up pregnant. The insurance benefits are better than anything I’ve seen. 

The bonuses are also a nice incentive. Almost all employees are eligible for monthly and semi annual bonuses. 

There is room for growth in the clinics, but unfortunately the clinics only. In Admin, there really isn’t any opportunity. 

With that being said, the compensation is poor. Things like bonus and benefits are said to be factored into wages, but not everyone needs benefits, and bonuses obviously aren’t guaranteed therefore should not be factored into compensation. There are supposed to be increases for everyone in the company, but again, that’s only for those in the clinics. 

It’s hard to work for a company where the benefits are amazing enough to expand your family, but that only does so much when they aren’t willing to compensate their employees with a wage to support that growing family. 

This company is amazing in every other aspect, but the compensation is a big thing. 

Great Benefit packages and HR support team: Always made me feel important no matter what they had going on. For the many years that I worked at Team Rehab, the HR department was always there to assist me.

Great place to receive physical therapy, would recommend to anyone needing PT. The majority of the staff are super nice, care very much about your improvement and are very knowledgeable and listen.

They do not offer the work/life balance that they promote. People always taking home work or working late (in all departments)

Upper management needs to take their own advice. They need to take care of their staff's needs, just like their staff takes care of their patients needs. None of the offices have people who maintain the office itself, which takes away from their patient or staff time. When I say staff time, I am referring to departments that do not see patients. I don't think the upper management knew what the administrative departments did while I was employed there, all focus was always on the clinics.

As a PT, you will be worked hard. In a 8-10 hour day, expect to see 15-20 patients minimum (and if you don't you're almost shamed). You're more than likely taking most notes home (but again, if you can't find a way to get them done during the day they'll make you feel like it's your fault). 

When you're seeing 3 patients an hour, quality will suffer and that's undeniable (and not unique to Team Rehab). If this is something you're okay with, then work for Team. If you'd rather have time for critical thought, to decide what your patient needs on that day, and to spend more than 10-15 minutes with each patient, you should look elsewhere. 

Sure, the people are nice. Your coworkers will likely be nice people, management is okay, but that's hardly enough for me to recommend taking a job here whether you're a new grad or seasoned vet.

It is a great way to gain experience and find out if this field is for you, but as a technician, it felt like the only true reward was gratitude from patients. They try to justify the low pay with bonuses, experience, and benefits, but it doesn't mean much if you're part time. I always worked just below 40 hours and I was still always struggling. Not only are the techs overloaded with patients, but so will therapists depending on where you are. Your clinic director will praise the staff for achieving record breaking numbers, but you will never see it in your own paycheck. They can't expect college students to work there when you can earn more at grocery store next door. When I first started, I loved working there. But as we got busier and everything changed BUT how much we were paid, that's when I realized that this "busy and fast-paced environment" is just toxic and exhausting. 

Working for Team Rehab has been my most memorable and enjoyable working experience to date. The team that I was a part of was very collaborative and supportive, and made it a very fun and enjoyable environment to work in. It can get fairly busy as a tech, sometimes bouncing between patients when busy, but it was never too overwhelming as the therapists and other techs are always willing to help out when possible. Working hands-on with patients has been tremendously beneficial and enjoyable. You get great experience with a wide variety of conditions from sprained ankles to torn ACLs to stroke patients and everything in between. Playing a role in the recovery process of the patients is a very rewarding and priceless experience, and makes everything else well worth it. Would 100% recommend to anybody remotely interested in the field.

I am a former employee. I loved working to assist patients and give access to healthcare. Your entire experience is purely determined by your clinic director. My clinic director did not know how to do their job, and then piled it on me. I was constantly asked not to take things "upstairs" and in the times I thought about reaching out, HR wouldn't even respond for 2-3 days. I loved my coworkers and my patients, but the mental tole this job took was not worth it, especially since my CD was making money while I did their work and mine, and took all the heat for it. I'm also slightly concerned on how we do patient insurance, but I'm not an expert. If I had a different clinic experience, I bet my time would have been a lot better. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
The connection with the clients is the best.  So many stories and seeing them accomplish their goals is amazing.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I find that there is no stressful part.  Frustrating on trying to discipher between the terminology of different therapist is all. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The company is the cleanest building in town and the culture is definitely unique.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Greetings patients as they come in.  Showing them their set of workouts and watching them to make sure they do it correctly.  Charting their workouts.  Cleaning, laundry and answering phones.  Helping therapists when needed.
