The Behavioral Wellness Center At Girard

The CEO / Exec Team implemented providing lunch periodically when the company does something well (inspections etc). They recognize employees service, veterans, have a meaningful morale committee, and the CEO communicates via 'all staff' meetings.  This is positive morale building.  The Exec Team is competent and effective, however, some staff does not disseminate info whereas they should.  There is pay disparity; most companies would recognize education, certification and experience;
if only a minor difference, a difference for that reason. Who you know, not what you know is apparent in some departments.      

If your looking to work somewhere that is professional but isn't overly heavy with micromanagement, this ISN'T that type of company. If your looking to work somewhere with an open and mature environment, this ISN'T that place. The atmosphere here is very cutthroat and reminiscent of the "Crabs in the barrel" syndrome. Although there isn't any real "material merchandise" there that could be considered likely to be stolen, the cameras installed are for the purpose of watching the Employees activities as much as they are for any other purposes they serve there. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Local commute between daily routine. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
A lot of nepotism with management, which doesn't allow for fair discipline. Not much has changed since somewhat of new leadership.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
A real s%&t show! Lack of professionalism, half of the staff should be patients in some capacity.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It varies. It can be straightforward,  or hectic, depending on what's happening on campus.

At one point, this was a great, family-oriented place to work.  Financial problems occurred and that feeling was replaced by layoffs, insecurity and instability, which created disgruntled and angry employees.  Old administration is gone now and the new ones are trying to improve relations, increase morale, and make the new successful and secure...all while trying to change the previous narrative. It's difficult and it's going to take time because people haven't forgotten and are afraid to trust.  But I see the changes, I feel more secure, and I'm along for the ride, because this really is a great place to work.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Best employer I ever worked for.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
For me getting a real lunch break was impossible. I always ate my food while doing my notes but I enjoyed it because I enjoy writing and eating .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Unionized. Proper. Empowering!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
They service a large group of participants and it keeps you busy.

I have been working in the Mental Health Industry for around 6 years and this company is by far the best. The Be Well Center cares not only about their clients but their employee's as well. I always feel heard by my team and manager. I also love that the company has started a wellness initiative for their employee's. It really shows how much they care and understand the importance of listening to their staff. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Laid back my department can get very busy at times  nothing that can't be handled. 


What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
When the fax or copiers doesn't work!

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Work environment is good an culture is Great!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Work helping other's  get the help they need to move forward.

It’s not what you know ,it’s who you know.or how you perform your duties  some administration doesn’t appreciate your efforts to try and create structure and be consistent with clients as well as staff double standards are well known at the wellness center 

Enjoyed working with this team of professionals. Managed caseload of participants in the Detox unit at The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard, providing biopsychosocial assessment and evaluation, Treatment Planning, Individual and Group Therapy, Discharge Instructions and Summaries.

The Behavioral Wellness Center at Girard is a great facility to work for and  really cares about clients and staff. I highly recommend their services.
