Case load too much. No Support from management with case managers on decisions with discharging pt. when no longer appropriate for home health services. SN nurses would go to Upper management instead of working with Case Mgr. in regards to recerts vs Discharges because (they) were friends instead of co-workers. There was one Field Nurse co-worker that would go to DON to report wrongful things. DON, and Branch Mgr. would not talk to me about these things, shunned me. We did not have internal office meetings to keep updated, info was past thru grapevine or very casually while standing over you while you were working. Also, the Marketing Co. would override what case mgt. would do to provide care for pt. or when discharge was expected. The hardest part of the job was keeping up with the heavy caseload. I loved doing the duties of the Case Manager, and I do consider myself to be very thorough and organized in my job tasks, and I take pride in that my Knowledge base is very strong. I was let go for no real cause as I was told by the DON " I did nothing wrong". I learned that two nurses were hired that did not have any case mgt. experience and split the case load that I had been doing. I would like to work there again because I enjoyed this type of Case mgt . if I were treated respectful and fairly since the DON and Branch Mgrs. are no longer there, but I feel the Marketing Director would still override what the nurses would feel is the better decision. We (case mgrs.), I, was also told that if I had to work overtime to get work done on time, that I could use it as comp time when needed, but when I was let go I had 56 hrs accrued but was told I would not paid for it when I was let go. 

During a typical work day I would arrive about 6:45am, recieve report from the outgoing nurse on my patients for the day. I would then obtain MAR and review patient's charts. I would then make my first rounds on my patients and do a full head to toe asessment. After seeing all of my patients and addressing their needs, I would then chart using MediTech. After charting was complete I would pull out all my morning medications and make my morning med pass. I would address any needs with my patients as they came up and made hourly checks on my patients. I would obtain vitals again at 12:00pm and 4:00pm. Often, I would act as charge nurse for the shift. Dutites included assissting staff with any duties or procedures as needed, keeping up with admissions and discharges, room/nurse assignements, checking the crash cart for expired meds/supplies. My co-workers all supported each other. We all worked together very well as a team. The hardest part of my job was talking with families of children who were severely or terminally ill. The best part of my job was caring for a patient from a time of near death, when all the doctors gave a patient no hope to survive, then a few weeks later see the patient taken off all lines and walk out of the hospital. That was amazing and made my job so rewarding.

I enjoyed working for STAT for about a week then it went downhill from there. First of all I was hired as the scheduler but my first day on the job I was given the title of Clinical Manager. The field nurses and clinicians were very nice but unprofessional at times. They pretty much did what they wanted to and by passed the CM and would call the Executive director or Office manager to get what they wanted. No communication between office personal. I had a very heavy work load that was overwhelming. No help from Ed or Office manager even though they smiled in my face and stated they had my back. Both Ed and Office manager came to work late around 9am and left early. They talked all day on their personal phones. The Executive director talked openly about how she wanted to get rid of nurses and to just do what they say until we get rid of them. One nurse she stated that she was incompetent. Just overall a very unprofessional work place. So I quit. Come to find out that they go through employess like a revolving door. That same ED quit she found a job that she couldn't pass up.

During my first year at this job, I remained positive and focused on my patients and I was very involved in their care. I was constantly harassed  by my boss but I hung in there. Her constant nip picking and reprimands were always done in front of my CO-WORKERS,  usually during monday morning meetings or in IDT. The more I gave, the more she demanded and she was seldom in a good mood. It was so bad that no one wanted to be around her. I assume  that this is just the type of manager this company wants. But I will tell all of you right now,  I was a supervisor at one time,  I did not sit in an office and dictate and gossip about other employees and stir up trouble ,& rumors and keep employees stressed,  I ran my unit with a positive attitude,  I helped everyone and when they did a good job I Congratulated & thanked them.  In turn,  my nurses came to work with smiles on their faces and they didn't quit their jobs. I dont know where this boss that I had got her skills, but the stress she put me through was totally unnecessary and un professional.

Constant Case Manager turnover due to lack of training and communication for new hires with no experience in home care or hospice care leads to poor patient satisfaction. There is no clear training program for new-hires once they start in the field. It’s very much a “sink or swim” mentality. Micromanaging from non-clinical management is constantly happening. Management in non-clinical roles questioning decisions made by college-educated nursing staff and higher level nurse practitioners leads to a poor working environment. Decisions and policies are made that directly affect the field nurse without asking long-term dedicated field nurses their opinion which leads to a hostile workplace. The company is very cliquey and if you aren’t comfortable working in the clique then the management feels that you aren’t a team player. As a Hospice company, the field nurses give compassionate care to patients and families but receive no compassion from management staff.

It’s starts at the top of the corporate leadership ladder! 

If you’re considering working here, please think twice. There’s zero consistency from corporate leadership. You never feel secure. It always feels like you’re one mistake away from being let go  even if you’re giving your all.

I’ve never experienced a more emotionally exhausting work environment. One day, you’re being praised for how amazing you are. The next, it’s like none of that ever happened and you’re being told you need to “do more.” It’s a constant rollercoaster, and it starts to mess with your head. honestly, it felt a lot like being in a toxic relationship.

What made it worse? Boundaries don’t exist here. There’s this unspoken expectation that you should be available 24/7, go above and beyond your role, and do extra work without extra pay. And if you try to protect your time or speak up, you’re made to feel like you’re the problem.

I wouldn’t wish this experience on anyone. Please value your peace this place won’t. There is a reason this network has high turn over they do not value their employees 


Thoroughly enjoyed working with the therapy team and thrived on the opportunity to use my management skills and talents. Left most days feeling very accomplished and satisfied with the tasks I completed. Appreciated the respect the therapist demonstrated to me.  Management started taking a different view point and often times  disagreed with the direction the company was going. I made a commitment to pt first, staff second, and then to the company thoroughly believing that if you do the right thing for the right reason it would all work out. The owner and director on the other hand became too focused on charts and grafts and put the staff last demanding more of them and taking benefits away and also had a raise freeze for yrs, Patients ultimately were sacrificed in some of the decisions that were ade

THE WORST PLACE TO WORK !!!! They are unorganized on top of understaffed those two do not mix well in a company. They can't keep people because they bring them in under false information. If you like this kind of environment go right ahead an work there. Its the department heads verses the inpatient nurses/nurses aids. They expect one person to do a two person job with little to no help from anybody and that's not going that's why people leaving soon as they come. The patients not the problem the patients family isn't the problem. The work not the problem everybody know working in this field you going to work by your self/short staffed 98 percent of the time. It's when the department heads  do not care about there employees.

I have worked for Stat for over a year.I love my job coworkers are great.This is a company that the 1st time I came through the door I knew this was where I belonged!!!There are good day's I enjoy seeing my patients,and sometimes it gets hard when it gets busy because I know that my patients need to be seen ,I love providing wound care. And nothing makes me feel better when a patient hugs me and says how much it means to them to have someone provide 110%and treat them with kindness and respect.If you have a question reach out to team and they will gladly assist with any questions or problems.I Love my job !! and I believe that professionalism and always be kind makes this my favorite part of my job.I don't come home until my work is done,but that is me I do put my patient 1st.I have a huge heart and a lot of compassion for what I do and I would not do it any other way.

first all this is a great job that you definitely can make your own schedule. That was the biggest perk! I was able to make my appointments, my kids appointments, run in the store, stop by the house.. you name it. You may get lucky and get a company car but you lose your mileage. What i did not like was i felt like i was never off. Because if you didn't finish your charting in the pt home then you had to do it when you got home. Plus call your pts for the next day to schedule a home visit. Then somedays you don't finish seeing pts till 6 or 7. But sometimes I felt like they were giving me all the pts because no one would take them or the RN told them no they were not going so i was stuck with all pts getting off late. Me and the girl in the office never got along so I know she intentionally would give me all the pts.
