Working in a role with limited on-the-job training has been both a challenge and an opportunity for growth. On one hand, it pushes you to be self-reliant and take initiative. You learn to solve problems on the fly, adapt quickly to new situations, and develop skills through direct experience. For those who thrive under pressure and enjoy hands-on learning, this type of environment can be rewarding.

However, the lack of structured training does come with its difficulties. The learning curve can be steep, especially if you’re new to the role or the industry. It can lead to feelings of uncertainty about expectations, inefficiencies, and missed opportunities to grow important skills. In my experience, this makes clear communication, mentorship, and access to resources absolutely essential.

For me, the key takeaway is that jobs like these are best suited for individuals who are proactive, resourceful, and comfortable figuring things out on their own. But I also believe that organizations have a responsibility to bridge the gap by providing clear guidelines and fostering a supportive work environment. These small efforts can make a big difference in helping employees succeed and feel confident in their roles.


I had a positive experience working at this firm. It's a great place for anyone who is new to the industry or looking to gain some valuable experience in the legal field. The team is supportive, welcoming, and enjoyable to work with. One thing I noticed in my brief time there was that several employees had built long-term careers within the company and grown into new roles over time. They do value professional development whether that means advancing in your current role or exploring opportunities in a different department. Overall, I would recommend the firm to those who are looking to learn, grow, and build strong foundations in the legal industry.

I worked at this firm for nearly 3 years, and the management from the start was horrible. Favoritism is an issue here, and so are the power hungry directors. It is an unprofessional environment, where you a micromanaged to an invasive level. Your whole day is monitored and you are watched on the cameras daily. You are expected to prioritize your job over your health and personal life, so asking for days off is not easy. There is little to no room for growth within the firm. They have a director with no education, or supervisory skills appointed to train and look over employees. You will ultimately be left to learn your job yourself. People are hired and fired on a weekly basis, the retention rate is a joke. You are overworked and under appreciated, and if you ever raise a concern you will be retaliated against. 

They have no professionalism. 

They don’t have a set training schedule, (for example 8am - 5pm for 3 set weeks) no they tell you one thing yet do another. Their director has little to no knowledge but likes to control your job, they don’t know how to control calls, very unorganized and unapproachable, it’s more like marketing trying to refer cases out. 

There’s no room for flexibility, or outside life out of working. I agree that the work-life balance could have been better. Since then, I’ve sought roles with a clearer focus on balance, and I now prioritize that aspect in future positions. 

Overall, it was a valuable learning experience that helped me understand the importance of feeling confident and wanted at a job. I’m excited to take those lessons into my next role. I wish them the best of luck. 

As a receptionist I have been able to receive a job that was entry level and I was able to move up to Case Manager Assistant and then Case Manager. I honestly love my coworkers and feel like this is a great environment that has made me stay for years and will continue to make me stay for future years. This is a very demand ing job as this is a fast paced job, as all jobs are in the legal industry. However I have worked at other law firms with attorneys who have never respected my ideas.  I have moved up and have always enjoyed collaborating with my team.

Where to start? This was easily one of the worst work experiences I've ever had. There was always gossip, little groups, side comments, and way too much drama for a place that is supposed to be professional. Training was all over the place, and half the time, you were just trying to figure out which version of the process people wanted that day. The managers were not easy to talk to, and getting clear help depended a lot on who you asked. Upper management felt completely removed from what was actually happening. How are people supposed to get better when nobody can give a clear answer.

I've worked other places, and what a breath of fresh air.  Shawn and Shervin are generous ($$$), kind and understanding. Yes, they have expectations, and yes they want you to do your best, but they aren't asking you to do this for them. its for our clients. To hear how you played a small role in changing someones life is an incredible feeling. 
The office is also fun and I truly work with some of the best people in this industry. If you're looking for opportunity, growth and developing a career, not just a job. I HIGHLY SUGGEST APPLYING HERE.  

Once I submitted my application I heard back right away to schedule my first interview.  Hiring management was enthusiastic about my previous work experience to align with a position here at the firm. Overall my experience at the firm has highlighted my skill set and allowed me to grow and learn from my peers and management. The Law Brothers fosters a collaborative work environment that encourages teamwork and overall success.

I like a lot of things about my job. Great communication between departments to keep everything running as it should. I love the feel of knowing our job is secure there is always work. There is room to grow. I love how as I’ve worked here you do get to learn a lot about how the process of cases work. I honestly love it all and our bosses are very nice people that always go above and beyond. 

Working for The Law Brothers has been such a great experience . I cannot thank The Law  Brothers enough for the guidance and support throughout my career. The mentorship and insightful advice has shaped my profession path to a different level.  A very fast paced environment and a place to definitely have strong work ethic!
