For the most part, at the Urology Group, the physicians are great, but that is the only thing the establishment has running for it. They think that because they are closed on weekends, holidays, and no call, they are the most important center on earth, and you should be grateful that they employ you. There are other opportunities with the same benefits that don't haze their employees based on whether they are "part of the clique" or not. The amount of unprofessionalism by upper management and senior staff members is mind-blowing. It is a revolving door for a reason. A few people will be there forever because of the dirt others have on them and how management rewards them for throwing others under the bus to protect their precious clique. Patient safety is forgone because they are always short-staffed, and they can't afford to lose staff members who are a danger. People get in verbal altercations where they are verbally and almost physically abusing each other, and these people are rewarded with promotions. Incredibly, this establishment is still functioning on its forever glued together, the last leg of the people breaking their back to hold it together. If you want to be appropriately compensated for your hard work, you have to put in your two weeks, and then they will give you what you ask. 

Packed surgery schedules despite being short staffed. Management refuses to help staff even when directly asked to because we’re re overwhelmed with the continuously increasing workload. Management ignores staff when issues and concerns that are brought to them. Absolutely no support. Pay isn’t good, especially for the amount of work that we’re asked to do. Benefits are very expensive and almost not worth it. The hours are nice, but that is the ONLY positive of working here. Favoritism seems to be an issue in most departments. It speaks volume that HR/upper management hasn’t become concerned with the amount of turn over in the past year alone or become involved with addressing the situation. I would not recommend working here. 

I worked at this company for a total of 5 years. They do not care about you, or their patients. The office is millions of dollars in debt, so badly that they did an across the board pay cut and 50% lay off and blamed it on COVID. I will say my fellow coworkers have become life long friends but it was not worth staying is such a hostile environment. Clinical management will stand in the halls and smile as you suffer from being behind in clinic due to being short staffed yet as soon as 4:30 rolls around and overtime starts they are more than happy to take your time and a half pay from you after all the work is done. Front desk manager loves to throw you under the bus by name not to mention to all the patients and the physicians. If I were you, it would be in your best interest to bypass this place of employment no matter how desperate you are. 

To start, unless you’re a professional butt kisser keep looking this is one of the worst jobs I ever had, the experience was daunting.its very catty and clicky the environment is so depressing you’ll find yourself questioning why am I torturing myself to go into this place, you almost feel like your working in an encampment where you need to find an escape route it’s horrible , they break every healthcare rule there is to break by manipulating and forging paperwork as well as finances, I would never ever allow a love one of mind to go here it’s not the Doctors it’s the supporting help behind the Doctors.  Nursing care is questionable and in many cases you won’t have a nurse but she’ll be pushing meds or performing treatments . They need to revamp this place with all new management.

I had a very busy day at The Urology Group from the moment I clocked in until the moment I clocked out.  I managed 4 different doctors schedules/calendars.  Scheduled patients for surgery in a timely manner. Coordinated all appropriate testing to be done prior to surgery.  Spoke with patients family members to help them through these trying times. I answered phones and scheduled follow up appointments.

 I enjoyed my job thoroughly, but my favorite part was getting to know my patients and their family members and helping them to feel comfortable in a not so comfortable situation.

This was the worst environment I have ever worked in my entire career!  It is run with a high school mean girl mentality which is actually encouraged (from HR to DON to RN Manager).  It is definitely ageist.  Don't be fooled by the fake smiles.  Management will smile to your face and set you up if you don't fit in with their clique.  Their high turnover reflects this.  There are so many RN choices nowadays.  Run as fast as you can from this one and don't look back.

Management is a joke!  They play favorites and there were times I didn’t get my schedule until 6 am and was expected to be there at 7:45.  My sons teacher came up positive for covid I was called and advised to come get him (while on intermittent FMLA for covid bc my son has chronic lung disease) I was terminated via overnight mail due to lack of work.  I could go on about how they stole my vacation and I have proof- they sent me half “to appease me” let’s see expired meds being used for sterile procedures like the lidocaine with epi- there’s so much I could go on for days it was the worst year of my life!

What is the best part of working at the company?
They do a lot of ice cream trucks and lunches

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They are extremely inflexible unless you are a favorite.  The supervisor in my department actually told me I was too nice and that I shouldn't compliment people. They treat you like you are a 5 year old child

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The rank and file people are awesome but management is terrible 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I do claims Followup and generally enjoy it but the supervisor is constantly nitpicking and is never happy with anything

I worked in the Customer Service department and I would highly recommend to steer clear. This job was terrible on my mental health I was always at work on time and doing my job but was watched and monitored like I was a criminal. And when asked to leave due to a family emergency and take off for 2 days for a funeral I was written up. If you’re looking for a job to balance the unexpected balance between life and your job this is not it. 

I assisted in bathing, dressing and preparing lunch for day center. Administered medication to resident on a daily basis. Planned outing 
for residents. Kept daily log of complete activities of full day on kiosk machine.Co-workers would be hired after me and will get the weekends off. They were lazy and liked to gossip. Clearly not the place for me. Management wasn't a morale buster. It felt like a dead in job. I enjoyed the smiles on the residents faces when I took them to church.
