I worked for The Village of St. Edward in Wadsworth for 11 months. I was a very hard working diligent employee who cared about my residents. I showed up to work on a timely manner every single day. I worked through the COVID-19 pandemic without missing any days of work. I am a single mother. One day my elderly caretaker who was watching my son so I could work through the pandemic fell very ill and had to be admitted into the hospital. With that being said, my son has special needs. I asked the company if they would allow me to work 36 hours a week for 10 weeks just so I could transport my special needs son to his summer day camp and back. They were pretty rude about the entire ordeal, upper management even made a comment as to why "I don't have a husband" to care for my son. Bottom line if you need to ask for any flexibility within your hours they will not care. They would rather loose a good dependable employee than work with a quality one they have. I quit this job over the disrespect from upper management which is a joke by the way.  It is ok for my supervisor to "go home early so he can go to the bar" But not ok for me to leave early to get my special needs son.

Management at this organization follows a highly mechanistic approach, often failing to recognize employees as individuals. This culture creates significant job instability; furthermore, financial shortfalls within the company frequently result in reduced employee raises.

While the residents are wonderful and the quality of care provided to them appears adequate, the internal treatment of staff is poor. Because of the leadership style and the lack of support for the workforce, I would not recommend this organization as a place of employment.

Loved helping the residents, forming positive relationships with them, and the pay was decent. Scheduling is hit or miss but they try to work with you. Management plays favorites and ineffective. Will sweep things under the rug if they dont want to deal with it. Like most places, some coworkers are great, some are the WORST. no such thing as loyalty to long term employees. The bigger they get, the less personal they are with employees. Aggressive points policy for absence/tardiness

The administor cares about the employees about as much as the dirt on her shoes. They place residents where they need to fill not if they are best there, which makes it much harder for staff. There is zero respect or appreciation from upper management, mainly the reason for high turnover. The upper management doesn't pull extra hours but the staffers have to change their schedules on a dime regardless of their family situations or prior commitments.  Give up all holidays no matter what department you work in. The administration is the worst.

Pay is ok….Nice social worker and reception staff…

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Floors are not structured properly in order for the nurse to provide adequate care…mixing a skilled unit with Memory care patients does not work. They won’t change it therefore high turn over in nurses…

Stressful no help…wound nurse mot very knowledgeable or helpful….

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful environment. Stna lazy

This is the most negative environment I have ever worked in. I actually enjoyed going to work at first, it was a good resident to NA ratio, but management is practically nonexistent if you aren’t a favorite. This is not a Christian facility who wants to give back, this is a sad facility with greedy people crawling all over it. If you actually care about the residents & do your job right it won’t even matter in the long run  This place is filled with backstabbing and insensitive people

New management team is not taking the short staffing seriously. Says things lie “we are not short staff I better not hear anyone say that.” “We are all burned out” “ we have it good other places are worst” they don’t cate about the people anymore. Have not seen corporate in a long time I can’t believe they still say they are “non profit” I loved my coworkers but most of them have gone away to other jobs. Residents ate everything but they are getting frustrated and tired of not getting help.

It is not black and white just because you have time doesn't  mean you can ever have it off

Bad and stressful ready to take on the next task and it's bad also

Basic fix it type work old buildings just need repair

The residents . All the coworkers I was around was wonderful.

Having a chance to advance higher.Growth!

It's fair. Needs Diversity in Management.

Overall A Great Place  To Work.

Assisted living is not TRUE assisted living.  MANY residents should be in a SNF and should have never been admitted.  Pay is great!  But it will not replace your back!  ED and Marketing lie!  Only care about THEIR bonus.  Staff doesn't get bonuses. If you are going to work the floor, go elsewhere!  If u have an office, u will have it made. You also have IL to watch over.
