The property in Pinckney is not an ideal place to work. I have worked here for quite a while. You will be micromanaged, reprimanded by HR, Executive Director and Nurses in front of the guests periodically. They will throw away your belongings such as expensive water bottles if you accidentally leave it by the call light display. You have to walk half the way across the property to have a dink, yet you are always so busy and makes it almost impossible. There is so much drama here, to the point that some nursing employees post their issues on Facebook, and ED and CEO, Nurses join in the conversation. These executives pick and choose their favorites just like a flavor of the day. Nursing can do no wrong here, two set of rules or even three! So many contradictory standards. If you are a CNA you will also be a full time server in the dining room, taking care of the guests requests every time you go by, and you are always working understaffed. When state surveyors come in we are put under pressure so much it is unbearable, and at that time they make look like the place is hopping with staff mandating all managers to work the hallways. Yet in normal mode every department here struggles, with some managers working 50 hours plus weeks. Obviously they won't report their hours properly to the state, because they will say they work 8 hours days. The ED is extremely rude sometimes and a two faced liar. Only acts empathetic for the guests in public, then in private she would make comments such as wishing some guests she does not like should run out of oxygen when the go outside the building. She a vicious individual.  I have to pay for my own meal on a pay that is not that great, yet she and  the HR director and other managers take their meals in a to go box at home, even for their spouses; this happens on a regular basis. I am totally displeased with the way this property is managed. Good bye

I would get to work I would clock in and then collect all my cleaning supplies, get assigned area I would be cleaning and then go from room to room wiping all areas down, clean bathroom, sweep and mop bathroom, then vacuum the carpet, then move onto the next room and repeat the process until all my rooms were complete. Then I would clean the dining room, cleaning all the tables and getting the tables ready for lunch, straighten the tables and chairs and then sweep and mop the floor. after this if my rooms weren't done I would continue working on my rooms until done. I also vacuumed the main halls and business offices. after lunch I would re due the dining room to set it up for dinner.  

I learned by keeping the rooms and building clean and tidy this helped the residents to heal faster and help keep them happy and healthy.

Well Bridge of Brighton has some of the best management and helps make coming to work happy every day. They were interested in how your day was going and because they showed interest in how I was doing, this made you want to come to work happy and ready to do a good job.

Foe most part co-workers were very nice and willing to give a helping hand when and if you needed it. Its like a big family there.

The hardest part of the job was getting to know the residents and then they would go home, that is hardest to me because I would get attached to the residents and then miss them when they were gone.

The most enjoyable part of the job was the residents, getting to know them and seeing just how happy I could make them knowing I enjoyed my job and loved getting to know them.

Here at WellBridge of Brighton the dietary department strives for the highest quality in food service.  All recipes are prepared from scratch with the finest ingredients; resulting in the overall success in our food preparation.  By utilizing the latest garnish techniques the department has successfully made their food look as good as it tastes. The Executive Chef oversees taste, presentation and overall quality of food that comes out of the kitchen.  The Dietary department serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily.  Each service highlights a specified entrée of the day; we also have an extensive alternative list for our guests if they prefer something different than the entrée offered for that day. 
The department also has a fully functional Bistro.  The WB Fresh Bistro offers a line of Starbuck’s coffee and specialty drinks. With the use of our state of the art kitchen the WB Fresh Bistro creates a unique flavor throughout the menu; highlighting a line of signature sandwiches, burgers and flatbread pizzas.  These Items can be prepared for guests, family members and staff at any time; offering a unique social gathering place for the community.  The WB Fresh Bistro is happy to serve.

There are very few employees that actually Care about the residents there. After dining hours many are left to fend for themselves to get back to their rooms. They are told that it's "part of their therapy" to wheel themselves. Really?? 93 years old & told to do it on their own?! Just pure laziness on the employees part & really does it take that much time to assist an elderly person. Sad part is that mgt. lets this happen. 
Pay scales are according to who you know, not your length of time there(seniority). Told raises after 90 days & again after 1 year. Don't believe it.
Mgt. documents everything that they can against you, but never shows appreciation for the great things you do or acknowledge positive feedback for comments from patients. 
Personal Cell phones should NOT be allowed while on duty. Most distractions & carelessness are a big cause from this. 
There is alot of unstructured time where employees just do what they want & get away with what they can. Mgt seems to be asleep at those times. There should be more Rules and oversight to ensure that these Patients get all that they pay for! You can do better Wellbridge! Walk the Epic Talk!!

I have worked at my job since it first started opening being a part of watching it grow. It has been an rewarding and educational experience. I have been proud to be a part of a team that works well together providing epic care to a variety of patients. A typical day includes medication administration, head to toe assessments, critical thinking of acute and chronic medical conditions, implementation of care in these situations, admission and discharge processing. I've learned to be confident and knowledgeable as a nurse.  We implement care to all types of cultural  backgrounds. The hardest part of my job is working with less than expected staff members. The most enjoyable part is that we work as a team to make the best of each situation and provide great care. I pride myself on my bedside manor and the impression and friendship I create with my patients. I enjoy making a difference in someone's life when they're in need. This is why I wanted to be a nurse and my job thus far has allowed me to feel accomplished at this.

At first working here was nice, they made it seem perfect during orientation as well. The facility was beautiful and the work was fairly easy compared to other facilities but ever since the COVID pandemic every flaw about this place has come to light. The way they handled it was God awful. They refused to provide masks and PPE and were not doing any screening initially. There was no strict isolation unit so people working on the COVID hall were still in fairly close contact with those that weren't. And they were constantly taking new admits/patients from the hospital even after they said they weren't going to do so to minimize possible exposure.  There was also no hazard pay WHATSOEVER even though the Governor mandated it they danced around our constant questions about it, thus we never received it. The place is ALWAYS understaffed and management will blow your phone up even on your off day to get you to come in to work because they have no staff.

If you’re looking to be underpaid, verbally abused and over worked, this is the place to go. Make sure to pick up as many hours as you can so you’re a favorite, otherwise you’ll get pulled on hallways, have pto denied and points tacked on your attendance if you call in when you’re sick. 
They make it impossible to balance outside life, because they constantly call you in on your days off, beg you to work 16 hour days all the time, and come in when you are sick. Doctor notes aren’t listened to, and any days you miss you must make up to keep your job. 
The don and hr, are the most unprofessional people you will work with. They make buko bucks and don’t listen to any of your concerns as they’re more worried about what uniform you wear, and the money they make.  any concerns of the patients  or your means of income aren’t cared about. 
They never step foot on the floor and live in total bliss of the unknown in the facility. 

It's really difficult  to leave a place when you absolutely loved your co-workers! The facility itself, is beautiful and appealing to the eyes.  Scheduling is flexible.  On the down side, Wellbridge offers zero training upon hire, setting nurses up for failure, causing unnecessary stress and frustration. Management is sure to acknowledge and point out everything you DO WRONG, but never offers kind words ever of support or gratitude for going up and beyond. It's difficult to respect your superiors, when they don't respect their employees. The turnover rate of staff is high, making continuity of care difficult. I wish the CEO would get involved and fix the problem, it would be an amazing place to work! Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend this place to patients or peers. Don't let the appearance fool you.

I was recruited into this company with high hopes and it started ok. But as I worked more within the company I’ve come to realize it’s quite the headache. Staffing is horrible; they make and alter the schedule without notice and after it’s been made. Then tell you to work it or find another job! Always short staffed due to people leaving. Management is not supportive, they do bare minimum. They do not stay and help, even when short staffed. They make sure to leave on time even if your behind. Some of them are good but new and do not have enough say so to turn things around. If you call in one weekend, be prepared to work the next! They punish you, multiple times for call ins, even if you have a drs note or rarely call in. It’s their way or the highway, and many of the nurses there are very hard workers...so to be treated like that is really appalling.

To those considering to apply, the relationship between peers of the same staffing level is great. I find I have many work friends of many ages and in many positions (nursing, kitchen staff and housekeeping all alike). I do not find this same relationship with the management. The nature of working in a healthcare building requires substantial work ethic and focus; that of which I feel the management enforces. 

The most difficult part about this job is the frustrations that come with working in a job in which I’m caring for others. Unavoidable things such as accidents, falls, cleaning up messes. I get frustrated when my hall partners or nurses for that day are not working as hard or with as much sense of urgency as myself. Another frustrating aspect is communication. Despite being very clear and proactive with my schedule, I often find miscommunications or mess ups in what I am scheduled for.
