I was hired as key holder. It started off okay but as time went on I noticed I was not even being trained for key holder position. I felt like a sales associate and everyone thought I was. They did not let me have access to anything. As summer approached and sales goals not getting met, they kept cutting my shifts to the point where I would get a 4 hour shift a week at most. Absolutely ridiculous. How am I suppose to train for key holder position when I’m barely working? Not to mention they never sent me schedules via email even though I told them multiple times I wasn’t receiving them. Very frustrating. I also got talked to multiple times for violating dress code, which is SO STRICT. You can’t even wear jeans or sneakers, and if you’re wearing leggings you have to wear a shirt long enough to cover mid thigh. Who has a shirt that long?? They just have a lot of weird rules and are so uptight about them. I lasted not even a month because it was that bad. I didn’t even come in for my last shift because I was so fed up, and they didn’t even call me. They haven’t called me since! Don’t know if they were trying to get rid of me or just don’t care but this place is a joke. You’ll get screwed in hours, won’t get sent a schedule, and not be trained how to be a supervisor. This place was a total waste of time and I do not recommend to anyone.

It is a fun place to work. I have learned quite a bit about Jewelry and all of the wonderful products we have.the interaction with customers is great. I work in all departments.help new sales associates learn the store. I open the store or close at nite depending on my hours. We have a chat in every shift to go over new promotions and new products.and the goal that is expected for that day. We also have a zone chart that we mark our figures every two hours during our shift. The most enjoyable part of my job is helping a customer find an item that they need for a certain function coming up ,or finding a different item that would also be suitable.

I am so thankful TPS was my first job. Not only was every day fun, but the position allowed me to get the works of retail confidently and give me the chance to improve upon myself. All of my fellow employees were so welcoming and kid, and my management went the extra mile every time to ensure I was doing my best. Never was there a down moment while working- everyone kept busy doing something they enjoyed, which gave the entire workplace a positive atmosphere 24/7. I highly recommend TPS for anyone, no matter what your passion is. There is a little bit of something for anyone.

The typical work day at the paper store was to walk in circles in the same 10x10ft space for 4-8 hours and occasionally getting to speak to a customer or work the register. I learned customer service, as well as the best ways to entertain oneself inside their own head. The management of the specific store was not the most kind or accommodating. However, the other employees tended to be very kind and everyone suffered together. The hardest part of the job was just how boring it was, time goes by very slowly when there is nothing to do. The best part of the job was the other employees and the flexible hours for part timers.

I worked as a seasonal employee and was treated as such. I tried to fit in with the clique there but it was rough. Only a handful of decent managers. If you don’t want to be appreciated, or treated with respect this is the place for you. Not worth the horrible pay and attitude of the managers or store manager. Don’t do it!!!!!

Just watched what you say to others and just listen don’t say anything back also manager could be better I like working there very much wish they give more than 8 hours a week

Good company, above average turnover in multiple departments. Wonderful company outings and employee appreciation. Promotion timing and amounts could have been better 

While working at the paper store I learned how to be very efficient in retail and I had good learning opportunities like how to help costomers find products or where to send them if our store didn't carry or have any left.

They only gave a few hours one day a week. They also promised to help expand learning of other regions of the store within and never did. They then got a little upset when i didnt know it when i was never trained on it.
