The benefits are better than any I've found at other companies however there is still a culture of clique-ism at this company.  It started out small, as most small businesses do, with a tight knit group of folks who knew each other and has grown through primarily a "who you know" type system with many of the people working there, particularly in management, being friends outside the office.  If you are not in that group it makes it very difficult to not feel left out and somewhat marginalized, especially if you work offsite and don't have the time to drop by the corporate offices all the time.

I feel appreciated, valued, and welcome at Thompson Gray. The management genuinely cares about you as an employee, and your family. TG invests in their employees. Management is easy to work with, and takes the time to get to know you, and will help you be successful in your position. This is hands down the best company I’ve worked for since serving in the military. Benefits are superior to other contract companies. There is room for growth within the company, and everyone works as a team, and shares the common goal of everyone being successful. 

I have worked at many companies over the last 25 years, and TG is the one I wish I would have found early-on as I transitioned from my life in the military. Hands down the most employee-oriented company I've experienced. The right combination of youthful enthusiasm and business savvy coupled with experienced technical personnel. Highly recommended.

They’ll send you a lot of swag but the team leaders are not great at all. One in particular will police you like a hall monitor and when they finally push you out will try to not pay you for the time you worked. 

The 401k match is only 3% and the benefits aren’t that great. They don’t care if you get outstanding performance reviews, you’ll still get the standard 3% pay increase. The Christmas bonuses suck too.

A lot of Nepotism and favoritism.

Nepotism doing everyone else’s work. Supervisor treating you like you’re garbage

Hostile, stressful, favoritism, nepotism 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful, belittling, more work than others and less pay than others

Pros:
-Company offers competitive compensation and benefits package. 
-Quarterly clothing allowance, employee incentives and the end of the year bonus are also nice perks! 

Cons:
-Project teams are under supported and lack sufficient expertise to support requirement
-Poor leadership oversight
-Employee rights/HR process faulty

If there were 6 stars, I would give them six stars. The pay, work hours, staff, and work culture is top notch. Thompson Gray makes you feel like you are family. They genuinely care about their employees. If you’re thinking about applying, do it!  

Thoroughly enjoy being a Thompson Gray employee. They take care of the little details for their employees. They support and encourage you to grow. The management team is the best I have worked for in my career.

Everyday  brought a new experience which enriched my level of experience. Company had a long term contract but eventually lost it through a bidding process requirement.

Thompson Gray Has a lot going for it.  A small company with a lot of potential once contracts are expanded.  As the company grows it will have growing pains, but what company doesn't?
