This company is a place where your coworkers can come and go but the clients always stay the same. Some people you can work with for a long time and build great bonds with but there are others who can leave very suddenly and a few years in you realize you are one of the only people at your site who remembers certain things. There's a lot that needs to be communicated with a lot of different people and sometimes that can be hard to do. I tend to want all the detailed information so I never feel that I get as much information as I want while also usually feeling I'm telling coworkers way more than they wanted to know. It's very important to get along with your close coworkers as you spend a lot of time with them and go through a lot and it can be really tough if you don't. But it's all really about the clients. I love them, they're great. Granted, I can think "yeah not an eventful day at all" and then tell someone about it and they usually say "Oh, are you okay? That sounds stressful!" but most of the little things slide right off your back. Many of the clients will love you if you just talk to them and don't do absurd things like tell them they can't watch what they want to watch at their own house. Even when there is a bigger incident it's pretty rare and you're trained in de-escalation strategies before you would ever need them. 

I love the culture and the mission. 
My coworkers and my boss have always been one of my main reasons to stay. Working here you will meet such incredible people that will make leaving so difficult.

The clients you meet will touch your heart and the work although can be difficult it is very fulfilling. 

Some cons would be #1 the pay is incredibly low, annual review wages don’t exist. I have a degree and make less than some ILCs.  
They will load on extra responsibilities without compensation or negotiations. Job roles are not clearly defined so coworkers will often pass their own work on to others.  
Being in an admin position it’s difficult to see people on the team come and go. We hire so many talented people and let them go if they are not catching on quick enough. 
There is not enough supervision being done on all levels. Which leads to some people being reprimanded while others are not. Bosses, Leads , Directors should be checking in more on their staff. 
Trinity & Directors are constantly incorporating new policies, systems and rules however often they are not enforced or clearly defined. When creating a “new way” of doing things we don’t enforce it enough to actually see it through before creating another new way. 
Understaffed. High turnover. This negatively affects all positions and more importantly the clients. 

Management can be awful, constantly being asked to work weekends, holidays and whenever you just got off of a shift. Half of the time reliefs don’t show up on time but nobody does anything about it. You feel as if you aren’t appreciated. Most staff are lazy but you do have some good ones. Clients needs aren’t 100% met. You do not make nearly as much as you should when it comes to this job. The clients are absolutely amazing and it’s very rewarding working with them. But, eventually everything changes. After covid happened it’s like nobody cares anymore. People are sleeping on the job and it’s not being addressed, people are being forced to use sick hours and such because they just need a mental break from everything. When you try to get a day off because of an appointment, being sick, family emergency, etc; it’s always “well, I don’t have anyone to cover you. Are you sure you can’t come in?” Or there is a ton of attitude given.

The most challenging part of the job is navigating complex behavioral situations, but the comprehensive training and team support make it manageable. The most enjoyable aspect is witnessing the positive impact of our work on the lives of the individuals we support.

A typical day at Trinity Services, Inc. involves providing care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, ensuring they live fulfilling, independent lives. I learned valuable skills in person-centered care, patience, and effective communication. Management is caring and supportive, offering training and feedback to help employees thrive. The workplace culture is centered around respect, teamwork, and a shared commitment to making a difference in the lives of the people we support. The hardest part of the job is managing the emotional demands, especially when clients face challenges. The most enjoyable part is seeing the progress clients make and knowing that you're positively impacting their lives.

Unfortunately, the workplace culture and environment has degraded impressively during the last several years. A typical day consists of multiple emergencies which is understandable due to the nature of working with special needs' clients. Management, though, is hostile, rude and unsupportive. Communication is poor to nonexistent. No raises, BTW. Ever. There is no Medical Director, no Nursing Officer anymore, and Nurses are left to endure every whim of the ignorant leadership and their faves who are untouchable, no matter how little they do. Neither supervisors nor HR department would protect you from false accusations. Helping people in need is the best part of the job, but it is not appreciated.


A typical day at Trinity Services, Inc. involves working closely with individuals with developmental disabilities or mental health needs, helping them achieve greater independence. I learned the importance of patience, empathy, and individualized care. Management is generally supportive and provides training and resources to succeed. The workplace culture is mission-driven, focused on respect, dignity, and person-centered support. The hardest part of the job is dealing with emotionally challenging situations, but the training and peer support help a lot. The most enjoyable part is seeing the progress and joy in the individuals we support—it’s truly fulfilling.

The executive and leadership team cares about all employees and are so understanding and accommodating. You won't meet a kinder group of people. The work itself is very rewarding. You really become family with the people you support, your fellow co-workers, and the Trinity community as a whole. The organization provides excellent training and opportunities for staff to collaborate. There are multiple committees within the organization that represent and celebrate all groups. You really feel like part of a bigger picture working at Trinity Services and like you're making an impact on the world around you.

I was an intern at Trinity for six months, which then led me to my current role now as a full-time employee. Trinity values your hard work and recognizes you for the impacts you make. I feel uplifted and supported in my current role, with my supervisor always being available for help or questions I may have. Trinity is also very client-centered, always looking for the best options for every client and their needs. I hope to continue to excel here and grow for years to come!

The work environment at Trinity School is very fun, upbeat, and positive. Everyone who works here loves their job, and it is a joy to come into work and be with my coworkers and students. It is a very fulfilling and rewarding job to see the impact we make on students' lives, but special education can be hard work at times. Everyday here looks different, and we are always laughing. This is a great school to work at.
