This job has given me so much stress. You Have to meet a quota every day or you can get a coaching and after so many you can get terminated. Its a high stress job that requires you to do so many tasks in one day plus go out in the community to see clients, among other documents. People come and leave quickly in this job most people dont stay long in this job for the reason that this company has unrealistic expectations from the higher ups-yeah because they aren't the ones going on to the community and having to meet these dumb quotas. On top of that Sups require us on helping clients with many tasks such as applications for gov services, housing, transportation, doctors appointments, medications, doing their financial assessments because the financial dept already has "too many clients to take care of." Oh and yes we sometimes transport clients in our own vehicle or company to their appointments, or when they might need to go somewhere but guess what that doesn't go towards you quota that you need to meet. And also having to be on call every once in a while is stressful, HR doesn't tell you that during the interview but all case managers are required to work an on call day/s to attend to people who are in crisis. Be prepared to have no life outside of work because you are basically living for your clients and your employer that you are required to do everything for these clients find them housing, find them govt assistance, take them places like their appointments, take them shopping. Plus they are always short handed, you need to meet your quota, finish your documentations, finish your notes that day, among other tasks that need to be completed. 

Pay & benefits
Great benefits, not so great pay for all the work & demands. High turnover rates increase work load.

Management
You'll be successful if you're lucky to get a good supervisor. Unfortunately a lot of supers have too much pressure which leads to not enough time with workers to help them be successful.

Culture
Meet your quota or you'll be fired on strike 3. Its not personal. It's just the rule.

Overall
I've worked in a few different positions over my time with Tropical and I really do tend to enjoy my job while working with the clients. My role in the community is what has kept me drawn to Tropical and returning. Most people see Tropical as a stepping stone which I can see as true since they hire people with limited experience to give them a shot, which is commendable.

The pay is alright, the benefits are great, the workload is high & fast-paced, management is good until they are not, anr your experience will strongly depend on the position, the supervisor, and the people you work with. The expectations are very high to wildly surpass any state requirements, which in turn means that when employees fail at meeting their quotas, they at least make Tropical look good to keep getting funding. BUT... that's what keeps Tropical around long enough to weather the storms.

Overall, You get experience, they provide a ton of trainings, you do get benefits, and they hire a lot of people. If you want in, you have to harass HR because they historically won't get back to you. So don't get discouraged. They will train you to be quick, and it will help you be productive in future jobs. At the end of the day, you get paid to work and you have to deal with different problems in any job anyways.

Most horrific experience. Went in there thinking I would be helping people and getting experience. Got out of there, stressed out, sad, humiliated, mistreated, and feeling like a fraud. This place is all about the money. Case Managers are pushed to meet minimum "client treatment hours" and document "collaboratively" which means you need to be typing while a client is talking to you. All this is done to free up time to see more clients and you are billing for the services you are providing. 
As if that was not enough, I had the worst supervisor in the history of supervisors. She did not care about being rude or condescending to the team and everyone avoided this supervisor like the plague.
If you are looking for a place where you will have the chance to provide quality, honest, care to your clients, Tropical is NOT where you want to work. You are like a workhorse, being beaten every day to increase profits for this terrible place. 
The pay is also NOT good for the amount of work and stress you are under. You are also required to work after hours and even some weekends if a client cannot meet you at any other time. 
It is no wonder this place has over 40% turnover rate.
Went in a happy, cheerful, optimistic person, got out a stressed out, depressed and humiliated human being. Not worth it for 500 dollars per week. 
Disgusting how this company pretends to care about people when all they really care about is making money. Sad, sad situation.

Chaotic environment, day in and day out. Good place to get experience but management is horrible. Too much favoritism, unrealistic demands, high turnover. Management has no empathy for staff no matter how good a worker you are. No recognition by management for being a good, hard working employee. Not worth the dedication and sacrifice you endure. Management is never satisfied and difficult to please. Only time you get recognized is, if you make a mistake no matter how small it might be. You will not hear the end of it and they will not let you forget. You will probably advance to higher position but you will be required to be either snitch and brown nose or both, depending on management. Only then, will you be part of their clique and only then, will you prevail. Too much back stabbing between supervisors. Complaining to Human Resources will get you nowhere as they will not believe you because by the time you decide to say something, your manager has beat you to it and has trashed you and your reputation to the max. You will be labeled as a trouble maker or disgruntled employee. Human Resources WILL NOT back you up. I really feel sorry for upper management, as they might be oblivious to what goes on at their facilities and think that everything is just fine. PLEASE NOTE THAT NOT ALL OF TTBH IS BAD. THERE IS ONLY ONE FACILITY I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND FOR ANYBODY TO WORK AT AS PER MY PREVIOUS WORKING EXPERIENCE.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Client treatment hours put a lot of stress on the employees to meet metrics they have little or no control over. Also they say more pay for more responsibility in their policies, but won't actually pay you extra for working multiple programs. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It's pretty harsh. Some people are nice, but a lot of them are snakes and will try to set you up for failure to make themselves look better or to increase their yearly bonus. 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Chasing clients to meet your client treatment hours and trying to provide a service with that in mind. Very few people feel as though they have any job security here, and it feels as though that is by design. You will be overworked and underpaid, and if you try to get more they will simply replace you. A lot of people stay because they feel they have no where else to go.

As an administration employee, duties varied highly and changed on a daily basis. The responsibilities ranged from processing TB tests, mailing fingerprints to FBI, answering calls/emails, running background reports, preparing requisitions, processing advance travel forms, taking meeting minutes (and typing them), sorting incoming mail, stamping/mailing it, to being phone backup person to CEO's executive admin asst...among other duties.  There surely was a lot to be done, and no time for breaks!  The manager strived at her position, but lacked management growth towards certain employees.  It's very difficult to meet deadlines when being overwhelmed with duties, given insufficient time, and no additional manpower present in the budget.  Client service, satisfaction, and their great responses always made me smile.

Tropical helps kids in some aspects but the majority of the time case managers have to overload themselves to meet requirements and targets instead of helping the kids. Targets make supervisors look good to their boss so, they will encourage you to keep going without regard to your stress level or proper care of the clients. The interventions used at Tropical are useless to kids unless it is therapy. The supervisors don't help when you need it and always look for case managers to do the extra work so they don't have too. There are no advancements, I've asked and I get the run around. Its been a year and I have yet to meet the manager.  One thing I like is that we get 12 holidays and you will need it. Not a professional environment, the team meetings are pointless, not productive. A lot of gossip. The pay is horrible for the work being done.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working with a supervisor that tries to use their position to threaten staff and is very disrespectful even in front of clients. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Too many young staff spending too much time talking and joking during work hours.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Recently it's has been bad. Since we got the new supervisor, things are so different and not in a good way.  It's kind of upsetting that TTBH hired a person with such a bad attitude and so much disrespect to her staff.  I know TTBH can do better than that.

Pros: 3 month training, good benefits, nice annual bonus, get to be in the community seeing clients instead of cubicle. Friendly coworkers.
Cons: daily quotas. You need 4 hours of documented session time with clients a day. Which can be stressful when a client cancels their scheduled session, then you are struggling to call your other clients on the spot and see if they have time to meet so you can meet your 4 hours for the day. Also if you are in a mandatory training for half of your 8 hour shift.. you are still expected to document 4 hours of client time.. which is impossible when you need time to drive to your clients.

The job would be nicer if there was not a daily quota or if they would provide days in the month where no quota was expected and we could focus on documenting/organizing caseload

My current case manager position gives me the privilege to work with, assist, and enable patients with mental disabilities function to the best of their abilities. With frequent assessments, medication monitoring, and acting as a referral agent, I help clients and motivate them to achieve their goals as stated in their person centered plan. In cooperation with psychiatrists, co-workers, pharmacy staff, and clinic staff, I help clients manage their daily life, including managing daily stressors and accessing resources. The most enjoyable part of my job is the sense of accomplishmet I feel when my clients succeed and reach goals that they thought they could not.
