You sit outside in a tent and sell cell phones, you get paid by the hour plus commission but you have to hit 80 percent of your quota to make any commission at all and they are completely unrealistic for Bakersfield.  The top salesman in Bakersfield BARELY made even made 80 percent of his quota last month and this guy is the definition of a go getter.  All it takes is a few slow days for you to be so far behind that you don't even really have a chance to catch up.  The manager doesn't know anything about the city she is managing in and it's rare that you can even get them on the phone and even if you do that you got about a 50/50 chance that they are even going to be able to help you with whatever the issue is.  Still, when the weather nice (like it is in December) it's the easiest 40 hours a week you can get but it's far less desirable in 100+ degree whether (which Bakersfield has at least 3 months of).  Also keep in mind that the people who qualify for these phones are all gonna be in lower income areas so if you are easily scared by poverty, homelessness and just plain old hood insanity then this probably isn't the job for you

It’s a great company for a MLM. The onboarding process is very simple and easy. The offer not only TruConnect Lifeline and Pre-paid but also Spectrum home internet, tv, voice, and mobile. They just are about to launch for advisors ADT home security with the potential to earn $150 to $300 per sale. Yes it is a MLM that you have to do Door-to-Door or set-up a pop-up shop somewhere busy but you can and do make money from your sales. The only downside is they don’t offer the free phones to our team and we have to buy SIM cards at $25 for 25 SIM cards. The pro side of the job is you can work from home and run Social Media Adds in different states and direct responding messages to your personal TruConnect website to sign up for services or buy a phone, tablet, or hotspot.

It is going down.the company needs to do something about the poor management in Sacramento Ca.in the way the employee is treated is like we back to school 2 graders..write up after write up.in they make you late but you helle at like a child.talk to like a dummy.I am the one who get the job done.school started in I have to pick up my kids.if I explain I can start early because I leave early.trying to get all the hours why no one communicate in the office.that was a week ago.in this week is almost over.now people want to work.what happened to all the other days.

A typical work day at TruConnect consisted of reviewing numerous reports for accuracy.  Preparation for the weekly sales meeting was 30% of the job, Reviewing and correcting data errors consisted of 20% of the job.  Monthly filings consumed 25% of the job on a monthly basis.  Multiple audits and preparation for audits consisted of 25% of the monthly workload.  Maintenance of dashboard, adhoc requests and support of sales efforts consumed the rest of the work load

I did really well when I had phones on hand. Then my sponser moved and I'm no longer able to get them. Makes no sense. If I had 200 customers or something I could. I could get 200 customers if I HAD phones. Or I can pay to change my sponser. They do have great incentives where you get paid well. And their customer service is on point 95% of the time (your customers). They have grown and expanded quite a bit the 5 years I have worked there. Due to lack of phones however, I only place an order every month or so.

If you want to work for a company with extreme attitudes and tension in an open office then this is the company for you. They are all talk and no action on getting things done to help you do your job efficiently. Horrible company to work for!! Management is clueless in what needs to be done and when suggested they only want what they want not what is suggested. Too many egotistical people walking around this office!!
