As a medical assistant with this practice, there was high turnover, an overload of work for M.A.'s. Lack of communication regarding day to day important news from management. You discuss issues with management, you get a lost look and nothing happens. You try to be a team player and they put even MORE on you to do. If you are in the front office or admin, you are good, because you will move up in the company. If you are an M.A. don't think your going to move up, because you will need to be good friends or related to management or admin.
Doctors are down to earth, though they are too busy to deal with the chaos. 
There is no teamwork here. The call center needs to be trained as well as most of the front desk. 
If some part of your team doesn't know how to do something or just doesn't do it, they are not held accountable, you are as the M.A. 
If you are a hardworker and passionate about your job as an M.A. do not work here. They will burn you out . If you are new to the position and want to learn, you will learn a great deal. I would not recommend staying too long.
 Work life balance for M.A.'s with a busy physician, well, there is no balance. They will not help you achieve that balance though they will say they will. The manager will just put all of it back on you to deal with. There is no organization, SOP's constantly changed , if someone is out, you will not know, you will see new faces and not know who they are. They got rid of most of their seasoned employees so if you have a free day to catch up, you don't. Management will smile at you and conspire behind your back. Company had great potential for employees, starting out it was a family environment. Somewhere along the way that was forgotten. Recommend take the job only to learn as you will burn out long term.
The patients are awesome and require a great deal of care and patience. Clinics are steady few physicians with 28 + patients a day. Consistent mistakes with scheduling, you will find yourself doing alot of double work and there is no clinical person in the front office so, you will have to instruct them consistently as well. At one point the most enjoyable part of the job was being with your pod, but, since the high turnover, it is hard to get to know anyone. 

There’s really not much to say other than they make you feel like 5 year olds. The company as a whole isn’t bad. It was just this department. Nit picky. Didn’t really care about anything else except you answering calls. We’re humans, not robots. Didn’t like when you took a restroom break or you would get asked why’d you take so long and they’d ask you to do a time adjustment for it. Didn’t like for you to have “outside conversations” on down time while waiting for calls to come in. Constant nagging all the time. “Put yourself on available.” “Do you need help? You’ve been offline more than the required time.” “If you’re not on available, make yourself available.” They can literally see who is on calls and still say get on a call. In the interview process, management tries to paint a pretty picture. Makes it seem as they help when call volume is high, but they don’t. They sit in their office having “outside conversations”, laughing, being loud and turn around and say they’re having meetings. They don’t communicate important information until after the fact. 

When I first started, it was okay, but after a couple of weeks, I noticed staff dropping like flies. Ppl were quitting in the middle of day, being fired left and right.  Micromanagement is horrendous and you are only called into the office for correction, NEVER a job well done. Management of the call center is underhanded and untrustworthy. I have no plans of being here longer than 6mos (based on experience, I won't come back one day or be fired.)

What is the best part of working at the company?
Mean and rude supervisor. Act like she don’t care about anyone problems but her own . 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Not given a chance , will pretend that they like you just to throw you out after a few days of work cause they was short handed 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Small and crowded everyone is working on top of each other 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Long overwhelmed . Doing everyone else job while those go and hang out elsewhere

Unrealistic metrics and expectations.I've watched new hires start and not come back.Training is unorganized.There's no good work/life balance with this company. At all.They need new management. Don't do it.

Great practice HORRIBLE CALL CENTER TRAINING. Seems like when they say across the board it does not include their call center in that. The training they receive or lack thereof is simply answer the phone, transfer the call, do not look for any notations to assist the patient. The agents will argue with patients and staff and there is no discipline or accountability in the whole department. 

You have to know someone to advance. If you are an outside employee that got organically hired then that’s it for you. There is no opportunity for advancement. Depending on which team you are on you will be overworked and under appreciated. Front desk has it out for the back office. The call center makes your job worse. You might go mentally insane but they give you free shirts and food

I love it, all of the doctors and managers are very nice and easy to work with.  Training is above par and everyone wants you to succeed.  It is up to you to show up, do your job and do everything you can to support your doctors and managers; if you do that you will go far. It's a great place to work, I see myself here for years to come. 

Unrealistic job expectations, management is unorganized, petty and unprofessional. You can’t trust management as they are always in the office gossiping. Back to back calls , limited restroom breaks . 

I'll be here all say explaining everything.  Management is horrible. They gossip like teenagers and provoke their employees.  There is no such thing as work/life balance.  Just don't apply for the call center. The pay isn't worth the headaches you'll get. Seriously they don't pay enough.
