What is the best part of working at the company?
They are a great company with a great mission and really really smart engineers and developers.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
They do not tell you that 50% of your 8 hour day (in technical support) will be on calls with customers and remote sessions directing them how to use the software.  I was told during recruiting that phone work would be 2 hours per day and that is not the case. When I left they were pushing for more than 4 hours to 6 hours per day of constant calls. KPIs include keeping a ticket count that cannot be sustained properly when your calls are 1 hour or longer. My longest call was 4 hours.  If they had told me that phone work would be so heavy, I would not have taken the job. When they say oh no we're not like that, don't believe them.  They are deceptive about that and I highlighted that practice in my exit interview.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment is positive and the team and managers are very accessible. Benefits and pay are top notch.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
booking 4 1 hour remotes and trying to meet SLAs on incoming cases and follow ups, escalations and inter team issues. Very very busy.

Company did not prepare for sustained growth and is struggling to pull everything together while experiencing high pressure and large number of new employees.

Management is really quite awful in my area, brought in through nepotism and protected through it as well.  Sr. management treats all employees as high-school or college graduate level, even though our department is all seasoned experts.

Support is beginning to fail and causing a ripple throughout all areas of the organization.

New ownership is leading to changes to position the company for IPO without understanding that there are many underlying failings that need to be addressed quickly.

I worked at Veeam for three years. We had a team environment with everyone pitching in to meet the team quota; we all became a family. The bigger more extended family was the rest of the teams. The environment is pretty relaxed except for month end, quarter end or year end; then it is pretty hectic with all the teams trying to make quotas. The hardest part of the job is working with partners to close deals, since we didn't sell directly to the enduser. The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to travel into my sales territory once a quarter.  The culture is pretty young but very competitive and very engaging!

You have an opportunity to represent a well respected and trusted brand in the data backup industry. There is lots of room for advancement.  Trendy work environment that breeds success. You are challenged daily with numerous targets that can be a bit stressful but Management is supportive and does everything to set you up for success. Your hard work is noticed and rewarded. Training is plentiful.  I greatly appreciate how the company has handled covid enabling a comfortable transition to remote working.  I can see myself here longterm!

Very old school management has been put in place trying to facilitate growth and grow Veeam to a $1B company.  They are ruining the culture that made Veeam a great company to work for its first few years.  Lot's of layoffs, new sales management is running off long time employees and old guard to replace them with their puppets.  Morale is low, and the company is struggling to grow.  Business partners are focused more on Veeam's competitors, and Veeam has been slow to react to build a go to market strategy to really incentivize its partners to drive new and renewals business.

The company has changed drastically since several years ago. Very KPI focused and could care less about the people who work there. A couple of years ago they started letting a large number of people go due to this, which ruined the fantastic culture that was in place. At that time, we were crushing every KPI that was set. Now the KPI's are unrealistic and unattainable. The new management does not have a clear vision, or if they do, it is an unrealistic one. Stay away unless you want a stressful job!

Veeam is only a tiny piece of business' overall project goals.  A sales rep connects with the right contact at a business to hear a long term (12 + months) where Veeam might be involved.  All the opportunities I found had no sense of urgency.  Management, at least the one I reported to, always offered to help, but I never understood how this person could help.  Also, I had very little guidance on best practices so every time I pressed a key or clicked a mouse, a co-worker tattled on me for some reason or another.  Insecurity, I guess.

The best part of working at Veeam Software is that you can work remote from your home office.

The most stressful part about working at Veeam Software is that there are too many meetings.

The work environment and culture is very inclusive and collaborative.

Very easygoing with at least 5 or more meetings per day.

There is a reason they are constantly recruiting new employees!  Promotions are based on who you socialize with at work and if you aren't in the proper social circles you won't get promoted regardless of qualifications.  Many higher positions are not posted internally and friends of hiring managers are tapped for positions.  Most of the management has limited management training and there is an anti-training culture due to most of the employees having no formal IT training at a college or university.  All of the bad millennial stereotypes seem to be celebrated here.

I dread coming to work. The environment is toxic and management creates a " if you arent a favorite you arent anything" mind set. No career growth. No promotions internally unless you are friends with management. Zero trust and get micromanaged. Job gets threatened once a month and have been told by management its their job over mine. No leader ship. Accounts that should be in my territory wrongly assigned saying nothing they can do about them staying in other verticals. Been here almost 2 years and havent learned or done anything other than pay my bills. No growth. Stay away.
