Major layoffs in April and June. 1/2 nursing staff let go. People were laid off through voicemails on their day off. No transparency. Said they were going to have annual review for pay increases in February which then turned to March and then April which then let to a company wide meeting saying no pay raises - also layoffs are happening but they stated it was coming from the administration level. That was a lie, it directly affected 5 NPs. Constant major changes. Very turbulent atmosphere. NP resignation at an all time high. Work is extremely busy, no downtime. You will be scheduled visits every hour due to short staff. You have to be on your computer at all times because you can be given a patient at any moment and expected to take them instantaneously. High turnover rate. Low morale since chief of HR hired. They offered retention bonus due to so many resignations but it is insignificant. Just be weary, it is 100% remote job but you have to be by the computer 100% of the time. Most days you have a visit every hour that you only get a few minutes to quickly go to the bathroom or get water. Poor work life balance. You’re expected to finish and submit your charts within 24 hours. If you have a patient in the last hour on a Friday, you have to finish your chart before you sign off or you’ll have to log in on Saturday to finish. No OT since salaried. If you don’t finish charting , oh well, you leave when you’re done or come in early the next day to submit on time and not be behind. You will have to get approval to travel outside of the state you live in and it can only be for a max of 2 weeks. 

Where do I start? I had orientation with a good group of people that were hired for different roles. We are told to shadow different employees to see how the day to day function for each role. By week 3, they expected us to understand the job and meet your daily quota. I worked for the pharmacy department and the expectation was never enough for the company and my manager. I was advised to do 9-12 patients a day by calling them to do medication reconciliation and then booking there biannual visit with the ARNP. The expectation from us was to meet a goal 384 minutes of CCM time. I did at least 9-10 patients a day and still it wasn’t enough time. I barely got out of my chair the whole day and I never met my goal. I was micromanaged all the time and was given a weekly report of my metrics. I was constantly questioned and nicpick by the pharmacist on grammar and how to word things on a daily in the progress notes. It was quite frustrating. I tried to keep a positive attitude but it’s really hard dealing with the pharmacist always on your case on how to word things in the progress notes and trying to do CCM time. It was never enough. There was no work/life balance. You get two 15 minute breaks and 1 hour lunch. Some of the coworkers didn’t take lunch until 5 pm because they wanted to work all day and get there CCM time and patients done (that’s out of choice) I respect that. The stress was too much for me to handle. A lot of the same people I started this company with, half of them quit. There’s a high turnover of employees. I was glad that I quit and I have no regrets doing so.  

I was recently let go from Vesta Healthcare, along with several others, under the explanation that it was due to economic reasons. However, this decision felt unfair and misleading because shortly after, I observed that the company continued hiring new staff, and before as well. This contradictory behavior was disappointing and made it hard to trust the management’s communication and intentions.

The lack of transparency and respect for existing employees during layoffs was disheartening. I hope the company takes a closer look at how they handle employee relations and layoffs in the future, as fair and honest communication is essential for any organization.

I used to truly enjoy working at Vesta Healthcare. It was once a company that cared about its employees and created a positive, collaborative environment. Unfortunately, that has changed significantly in recent months. Upper management decisions have taken a sharp turn for the worse. The leadership that has recently taken over has created a culture of confusion, poor communication, and instability. It was incredibly disheartening to see a company that once felt like a great place to work become one that leaves loyal employees feeling blindsided and undervalued. I hope they take accountability and rethink their leadership direction before more good people are pushed out under misleading circumstances.

They use eClinical Works - among the worst EHR systems ever made, takes weeks to understand how to do the basic notes, but before you can grasp one thing they throw another thing at you to learn, and then another, and then another. By the 4th time they said you have to learn this too, I almost quit on the spot.  Then suddenly it was, well only if you have time.  
Leadership gave 3 meetings in my first week (since they had just restructured and over 30 NPs quit) saying how they hear us, and they listen and they want to know how they can help us, but each time I asked my manager about something, there was some excuse why they couldn't.  So after the 2nd time I just stopped asking.  
The company is in the red and only cares about grinding the NPs to do any and all kinds of encounters for any reason to make a visit that can be billed, and the schedulers basically dictate what the NPs do.  
Moreover, the orientation is all about how to do all the types of visits in the chart and how to respond to tasks to add billing time.
Never have I heard once about what services the company actually offers to patients, so I had to rely on my preceptor to inform me of what I could do for patient.
Basically, I think I'm going to use this job as a backup while I find a new job.

Started off great since we could work remotely with a flexible schedule. Now it’s become a nightmare!! Their focus seems to change on a monthly basis it seems. Initially they only cared about how many monthly calls you made, no interest in the quality of the calls. Then, briefly the focus pivoted to the quality. Now they want both which is hard to achieve. The management is horrendous. They promote people and hire people that have no business being managers. Their idea of motivation is to send daily reminders that you’re not achieving your goals yet they keep adding barriers to keep you from these goals. The only good part of this job is the patients. It feels good to be able to help people try to stay healthy. If it weren’t for them, I would’ve left long ago. The idea of this company is great, it’s the management that is going to destroy it. It only seems to be going downhill. We have tons of people getting hired but that’s mostly to replace those who have left. You have to wonder what is going on when a whole department disappears. Stay away!!!

There were no typical days for me as I was always putting on a different hat and tackling whatever came up and needed to be handled.
I learned sadly enough, that employees are not your friends, they work for you and are friendly enough, but unfortunately they really don't want to be friends with you.
The management we put into place worked well with us and were on the same page and had great goals set.
My co-workers did work hard for the company and we rewarded them greatly for the effort they put in.
The hardest part of my job was putting in so many hours as we grew it was 24/7
The most enjoyable part of my job was helping our patients get pain relief by providing the medical equipment they so desperately needed.

I worked here as a temp and was blown away by the positive work environment. The managers really help you and everyone's input is valued. It's a tech start up so it is a somewhat close quarters work environment but I never felt too crowded and always had my own personal space. I met the CEO my 2nd day on the job, he's very down to earth, intelligent, and judging by his hires a good decision maker. I've never felt afraid to ask for any kind of help from managers or fellow employees. It is a welcoming place to work, but it also can be fast paced. Everyone seems to be very capable at what they do and they have a good culture of work hard play hard.

Cold calls,lots of the members didn't remember signing up or want to be part of program. As an initials team case manager the expected you to only Intake the members. No continuity of care. It's not about quality of work it's about quantity. Must meet productivity metrics which is difficult with cold calls. Management was good and they are supportive however it's all about productivity. Great pay and benefit package. Being able to help members and teaching was great, especially Spanish speakers as they had someone that they 
understood and understood them.  

Hometeam has been my best job ever. 

We're building something that is very meaningful and necessary for our country today, and we've brought together wonderful, energetic, innovative and principled people to do it. 

The most enjoyable part is working with the people in the company who have a deep desire to provide better home care for older adults, and CAREERS for caregivers. The hardest part (which I still think is what make the company is great) is the sheer level of performance you must execute every day. People here want to succeed and want to innovate, and bring it every day.

This job advertised a certain role in a completely different light. It was said to be one and ended up completely different. Cold calling sales job that targets vulnerable population. Micro management is top notch. There is no support to help employees do better or help meet quota. It became so toxic and unpleasant. People stopped sharing opinions. Management does nothing but point finger back at you. It’s all about the $$ no integrity or values. Benefits aren’t worth it, insurance will cost you your entire paycheck. No maternity/paternity leave. No education support. Run from this toxic place. If I knew better I wouldn’t have taken this job, such a deceiving lie.
