I had been an employee of WSI since 2018.  Job placement provided initial good opportunities.  Most recently, the main Recruiter very surprisingly and unexpectedly, unwarranted, was disrespectful, sending a demeaning text to me as I readied for a temporary job placement within their office that would replace the person who just walked out on them. Maybe that was why she left! 
 
Some company cultures have disrespectful and abusive environments, which is a debilitating. The demeaning message I received was cause for cancellation of a temporary placement, yet I was held responsible.  But I refuse to work in any debilitating and abusive or disrespectful work environment. The main Recruiter/Job Agent was instrumental in causing employment damage as well to me by also pushing an opportunity that was very misplaced, which I hesitated but later accepted, yet placing me with a disorganized and very sloppy practice manager, who listened to lies about other employees working there to demean them, so very terrible placement in some cases.  

The nasty text received on the day I was to work in the WSI office to replace a person who just also walked out on them was cause for decline of this temporary placement within the WSI office so cannot afterall give this staffing agency a good rating for the job agent/recruiter's irretrievable, nasty, demeaning communication with a foul word text--not only highly unprofessional, but unwarranted.  Avoid this staffing agency and go with another one.   

I was hired by this company with no experience in the field of recruitment.  They took the time and showed me everything about the business and I absolutely loved it.  My typical day would be going into work, calling anyone back that had left me a message the night before, calling all new applicants that were qualified, and completed a  full interview over the phone and then set up an interview to have that candidate come in face to face if they would be a good match for any of our clients.  I also worked with the clients by finding cadidates that best fit their facility and placing those candidates in a facility that they would love and the client would love.  There was very little micro managing, and I was able to hit all my  goals each month to commission off my hard work.  My co workers kept to themselves for the most part but we did all go to lunch together and helped each other with work if needed.  The hardest part of my job was leaving and not knowing why.  I was never given and explanation which really bothered me.  I enjoyed everything about the spositions.  I loved finding a candidate, finding the right client, and placing that candidsate in a facility where they would flourish.

Personnel within WSI all very pleasant and send out available jobs regularly. I am still signed with them however the jobs that come into WSI I'd say 99% are in Denver and further south I live up north; part time Medical Assistant (MA) jobs are scarce as are smaller facilities that are not so fast paced with less than three physicians. 

Coming out of retirement and not actively working as MA for a year also hinders my search for employment.  WSI asking for (offices also I assume) "two great references and recent experience on the floor or clinic."  I have two previous co-work references but not sure about my last supervisor...which pushes me out of the pool they have, but I will continue to search.

Overall great personnel and recruiters that really go that extra mile to help you gain employment.

What is the best part of working at the company?
I had a wonderful experience during the few years I worked for WSI. I was never without a steady job. I also volunteered to work  additional assignments to broaden my experience. My WSI supervisor always sent me a gift for the holidays. I absolutely enjoyed my team working with WSI healthcare and wound definitely recommend.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I cannot comment as I did not experience any stress related to WSI.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Very friendly staff very helpful and eager to get you assigned and working.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I would often call in and speak over the phone with my POC regarding my work schedule and overall well being.

I enjoyed learning and being able to build my own skill set and grow professionally as a recruiter, but it was difficult to succeed at times when you have to work on a draw commission structure. Training is provided and you're supported by the best people, but the path to advancement was not very clear and sometimes you would get mixed messages on your progress. I had a very supportive manager and wonderful teammates but was not a fan of the CEO. She was a very hands-on and micromanaging kind of leader that it became suffocating and very toxic at times. Any ounce of disagreement you'd have with her, you'd get crucified. I'd recommend this role for someone who would like to get a start in recruiting but don't count on getting paid a living wage and benefits are sub-par at best.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Getting signatures, sometimes can be difficult to record timesheet 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
staff at locations are happy to have you assist them in their daily work as a float team member

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Sometimes I work four hours other times eight. The work is generally pretty fast pace, and the day goes relatively quickly.. The work is rewarding as I am treated like a team player.

Nursing agency, You can pick up what ever shifts you want to work, days you want to work, and where you want to work

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Driving in the snow can be stressful

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Depends on where you work. Each facility is different and the people you work with are different

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Usually 8 or 10 hour shifts. I always chose to work in perioperative departments preparing patients for surgery and then recovering them

Whether your position is full time, contract, or PRN, WSi is always willing to help further your career.
On some days you might learn something more about topics you already know, and other days everything is new.
There are times when you take an assignment not realizing the nature of the job. The staff is willing to help you get through the day.
One of the hardest parts is when the ball of communication is dropped. I have worked for different agencies like WSi, and by far the staff that I deal with at WSi, makes me feel like they care about my career and are working hard to help me.

I have been with WSi for over 1 year now, and absolutely love my job just as much as I did when I first started. I love the collaborative team atmosphere we have in our office as it provides a positive work environment. Our management team is phenomenal and truly have their employees best interest at heart. As an employee of WSi, you will grow as a recruiter, and most importantly, feel supported and appreciated every day. Recruiting certainly is not an easy industry to be in, but at WSi, you will be making positive impacts on peoples lives each and every day.

What have I learned to be appreciated more to know that the job that you do is a lot and they appreciate everything you do! 
What workplace culture depends where you go but again I like Forest Ridge is probably one of the best places I like going and they’re very good at keeping you updated on things as well! The enjoyable part of the job is getting to know and helping the residents and knowing that they’re in a good place and in great hands!
