I have been working at Wellbox for about a year now and am LOVING it. The few times I have felt changes need to be made, I have felt heard and the changes WERE MADE. I love my team and everyone is so happy and helpful ALL THE TIME! This is rare in the nursing community these days, unfortunately. Every day I start my day when I want to start my day. This is so valuable to me as a single mom. I am there for the important things that my girls need me for. I have to complete my minimum patient panel by the end of the month but otherwise, I have no real deadlines. Weekly productivity is a thing but if you just keep in communication with your supervisor, even the weekly expectations are really just suggestions, especially if you have an excellent track record of always completing your patient panel by the end of the month (this is not difficult). The training is excellent and I feel that I have all the information necessary to complete my patient calls. If I have questions, there are plenty of people to ask who will cheerfully answer if my supervisor is busy helping another nurse. On top of all this, I actually feel like I am making a difference in my patients' lives. I have time to get to know them and just talk. I feel like I am finally living up to WHY I became a nurse in the first place. I know that I make this sound like a dream job but it REALLY is. I cannot say enough good things about Wellbox and I cannot think of any negatives to the job. 

I worked here for about 9 months, and only stayed as I needed a remote position at that time. A typical day consists of nothing but calling patient's back to back. You are "graded" on how many billable events you can complete in an hour. Each visit has to total up to at least 20 minutes for a call to ''count'' as billable, which is I believe a standard set by Medicare and not Wellbox. I loved talking with the patient's, but your calls were monitored and you could not have much "small talk" with them (to help build patient relationships) as it all had to be medically relevant. You have to be constantly productive with completed calls or you are penalized... so hopefully your patient's answer and you can keep them on the line for the needed time. The expectations for calls are constantly changing. The pay is not great, but they say they make up for it in other areas such as bonuses and PTO. However, when starting out you get only like 4 days of PTO a year! And the bonuses are extremely hard to hit, as they are based off patient's answering, so if they don't answer then you are out of luck. Overall, I do not recommend working here. My supervisor was very nice, but management higher up than that are extremely rude and almost have a "snobby" attitude.

I wake up and am able to get my kids off to school and errands if I need to before coming home and clocking in. I am able to help and advocate for patients all over the country. I am able to spend one on one time learning about my patients and build strong nurse to patient relationships.  The practices I work with value my feedback and suggestions. I help keep their clients healthy and keep the physicians up to date with the client's progress in real-time. I am able to stay up to date with treatment options being used to treat complex chronic conditions and learn how these conditions affect everyday life and not just in the acute care setting. Management is very helpful and wants you to succeed.
We may work from home but are able to keep in touch with co-workers and bounce information and ideas off of each other. 
The hardest part of the job is getting the initial buy-in of the patient. The most enjoyable part of the job is witnessing patients reach their goals and overcome chronic conditions. 
 There are "normal working hours", however, I am able to have the flexibility to also manage my personal life.

Don't be fooled, this company doesn't really care about helping patients with chronic conditions.  They care about how they can make money off of medicare programs.  They will put all other services on back burner to jump on the newest biggest offering, pouring resources into development rather than current staff and benefits.  This company has nosedived since COVID.  The support staff hasn't had raises in 2020 and is overworked.  New support staff have only brought in when current staff is at the breaking point.  There have been promises of raises every year when the company can finally make a profit, but that has yet to happen.  They keep pouring money into "growth", but nothing ever changes.  They hired for three upper-level positions, but don't have money for even cost of living raises for the current staff.  
The culture is nil.  They try to arrange virtual afterhours meetings or have contests, but participation is minimal.  
The best benefit is being able to work from home.  At least there is some work life balance with no daily commute.

Schedule was suppose to be flexible, but you would get daily messages/emails from your supervisor about your panel constantly even if you ALWAYS finished your panel by the end of the month. Your not paid hourly either, but they want you to sit at your computer all day even though your not getting paid. You do a lot of cold calling and your encouraged to try to get patients to stay enrolled in the program when they clearly don’t want too and they have no reason to be enrolled in the program. The pay is awful and the benefits aren’t worth it. Everything changes about once a month. They have monthly town meetings and down play how the company is struggling. No job security. EHR would frequently be down( so you wouldn’t make any money at all that day). They also do lay offs frequently without notice, so if your looking for a stable job and income this is not the company for you. 

This company has an excellent team culture and a supportive leadership approach that makes remote work seamless. Communication is clear and consistent, and there’s always a focus on collaboration, which helps you feel connected even while working from home.

The organization is committed to employee growth and regularly recognizes contributions, which creates a motivating and positive atmosphere. The flexibility of the remote setup allows for a great work-life balance, and the tools provided make it easy to stay organized and productive.

Overall, this is a fantastic place to work if you value a collaborative, remote-friendly environment with opportunities to make a real impact.



I was Hired as Fulltime and on start date, they had no work for me and no way for me to make any income, due to only being paid for "billable events" and not hourly or salaried. Had my previous employer not been able to take me back on part-time basis, I would of gone 8 weeks without work or pay. The company offered no resolution to resolve the issue, infact, when I asked to talk directly to upper management, the request was denied. Once I finally did get some billable events, alot of time was spent doing the work for the small amount paid out. The only thing I can say is if you dont NEED to work and just want some extra income with family balance, the position would be good. However, if you need a secured income, I would recommend staying clear of this company or making sure yoi have back up income in place!

I enjoy working at Wellbox with all the other members of the team. They are focused on helping practices and their patients. I feel that the work we are doing is making a difference. Wellbox is in rapid growth mode with an entrepreneurial spirit.

The best part of the job is how the entire team will come together and adapt to solve issues to better the company and our partners.

If you are looking for a challenge, a great culture and an opportunity to make a difference this is the place for you. Please keep in mind that as a company leading the charge with a new program there will be changes and challenges along the way.

The pay is terrible. It sounds like you can make money per chart and you do. What you don't get paid for is any correspondence with emails, corrections, calls when you have to unenroll someone. They will take patients away from your caseload without a reason. They no longer are as flexible with your time either. It sounds like a job that you can complete your quota by the end of the month and thats is it.  If you don't start calling within a few days of the 1st of the month, you will get constant emails and it won't matter that you always complete your caseload every month on time. You are not paid hourly but the expectation of the work expected vs not willing to pay anyone hourly is honestly despicable. As the staff are nice it's not worth it.

Worked there about 6 months. Lots of egos and chap stick required. Very “playing corporate” feel vs a small company, which it is. This company could’ve been great, but it’s not. Hope they make improvements as this concept is fantastic. Encouragement and motivation to the employees can really take this company far!! Once again, as a nurse, the patients are fantastic. I love dealing with people at a human level and making sure that their needs are met. Thank you for the experience.
