The company itself is a great place to work, especially if you have a passion for working with patients with terminal illnesses. However, the lack of professionalism and support exemplified by management makes you feel completely unappreciated. There is no room for growth, no incentive programs, no appreciation shown, and a high turn over rate! Most people who have left the company will honestly say because of poor management. There is no work/life balance, they seem to not be compassionate about their employees, and there is no one that you can speak with about this! The chain of command is BROKEN (meaning that you shouldn't expect the next level of hierarchy to do what is civil and/or right; they just tend to uphold the wrong doings of immediate supervisors/managers). The employee moral plummets daily and no one seems to care!

West physicians are top notch and the clinical staff in general is very much the best thing about the organization. However, support staff was very poorly mismanaged and completely taken for granted. Our entire department left within three months on their own accord. We were all drastically underpaid by at the very least $20K and overworked. Our managers knew nothing/ had zero experience in our field of work and yet we had to report to them sometimes on an hourly basis with ridiculous and side-tracked projects. After multiple attempts to voice our concerns, it became clear that while HR tried their best, nothing was going to be done to improve our situation.

Office is very busy majority of the time. I love my patient because they know me so well.  They are very easy to talk too. Management need improvement. I get alone fine with my co-worker we work as team.The hardest part of my job is when I lose a patient that I have grown very close to.  Although I know it going to happen  I am still sad because it final. The most enjoyable part of my job when a patient finish treatment and ring the bell and receive their little certificate for completion of treatment.

Everyone at West truly cares about what they do. Patient care and safety is a priority. They are understanding about life circumstances. The pay and benefits are really good. The schedule for my role is predictable. I have always been able to get time off when needed. Meeting type info is often sent via email which is amazing. I like that the dress code is flexible in my role. Free lunch is common with short learning sessions. It’s a really great place to work. 

This place has the potential to be a great company;however, management is terrible, the job is stressful with little pay and you do not get breaks. It is very unorganized patients appointment ALWAYS get rescheduled and no one calls to inform them so they come in and we have to deal with their anger even though the call center is the ones who rescheduled them. We work very hard and sometimes go over and beyond our job duties but management NEVER shows their appreciation for our hard work.

I wouldnt Recommend this job to ANYONE unless it’s diehard need ! The pay is only 12/hr for all of the stress you will have working here . The turnover rate is high due to poor management! The only thing i liked About working her is the bond you have w/ the patients . It’s heartbreaking meeting them and getting to know them for months and unfortunately they pass away due to the illness . But the job itself is horrible ! Loved the Patients . Hated the job ! 

Direct manager was wonderful, receptive, and easy to reach.  It is difficult to get time off if you don’t do it WAY in advance. They only let a few RNs off per day so if you don’t plan ahead, you’re SOL.  They have multiple locations throughout the area so they serve a large patient population. The main campus has extended hours.  There’s no going home early for low census...there are ALWAYS adding on patients to a full schedule. Unless you close, you’re generally going home on time.

The staff of The West Clinic work together to create a blessing for the work that is done. We believe in doing everything possible to help make our community a healthier and better place to live. You’ll also find the staff volunteering in area fund-raising events, such as Race for the Cure and Relay for Life as well as sharing their good fortune with others through various community-related projects.

Terrible place to work- the only good thing is the flexibility with the schedule only if you are salary..otherwise they literally want you to ride the clock regardless if you are productive or not. Never get raises and more work added all the time. Never have lunch breaks. The only thing they care about Shareholders/MD's making money. 

I loved working at the west cancer center. I was able to pray with the patients and to encourage them through their cancer journeys. I worked with little supervision and enjoyed the challenges of this position where I did all the prior authorizations for over 29 doctors working on getting there medications approved for cancer treatment. The only reason I left was because I was offered a $4.00 and hour pay raise.
